A Sub-Heroic Death

Korthos was drunk. He drinks when he's bored, and now that was definitely the case. His "son" Hogvir joined him in Kingston to keep him out of trouble, but they were shortly parted.

He strolled around, doing whatever a drunk Korthos would do. He almost caught fire in a furnace, and accidentally walked into a dead end where he encountered a bandit. Korthos had the choice between giving up his money or his life, and in his head at the time, fighting seemed like a good idea. But the sober bandit easily outmaneuvred him, and thus Korthos was stabbed repeatedly.

The brave man now lies rotting in an alley in Kingston, stripped of his valuables.

((Rest in peace you dumb mofo))

On a fair day, Hunwald was strolling through Kingston without a problem in his mind. He nodded to many nice maidens and shook hands with many good men, but then; something else came upon him. A stench had drifted towards him, coming from an alley-way deep in the corner of the small city. Hunwald, interested by the smell, quickly trotted to the alley-way where he found something he would yell about-- Korthos, a Carrion, was dead.

Hunwald quickly ran to the body of the tall man, ignoring the smell and the rot. Without hesitation he lifted him up over his shoulder, and ran him home. Home to Kralta, while being given funny looks and screams. Shields unsheathed their weapons and would-be adventurers, who thought Hunwald was the murderer, took pursuit. Hunwald used all the energy he could running from Kingston to Kralta, while being chased; but he liked the feeling. Arrows landed all around him, he was forced to duck head many a times.

Eventually his pursuers gave in, and Hunwald was free. As he reached Kralta, he screamed. He screamed as loud as he can.

"SOMEONE! ANY'N! KORFOS... KORFOS 'ES DEAD!"

It is a usual day in Kralta, as Bogdan sits on a small bench inside of the village.  The scent of feces and piss fill the air of the village.  Bogdan moves his fingers up towards his feathered hat, placing it upon the bench.  He reaches into his bag, taking a handful of seeds mixed in with bread crumbs, throwing them onto the floor before him.  Wild birds from around, mostly pigeons came about from the lands around, feasting upon the feed in Kralta.

Bogdan opens his maw, beginning to speak to the birds as he hears a loud shout from the distance. "SOMEONE! ANY'N! KORFOS... KORFOS 'ES DEAD!"  Hunwald shouts.  The large number of wild birds quickly fly away, forcing Bogdan to stand up in anger.  He reaches over towards the bench, picking up his Feathered Cap and he places it atop his head.  He makes his way over towards Hunwald, seemingly angered.

"F-ck what shout?  God-speak was I!  F-ck what happened, must be much important more than God-Speak!"  Bogdan blurted towards Hunwald.  Seeing the dead body on Hunwald's shoulder, Bogdan lets out a tear drip from his eye, of small and insignificant size.  He quickly turns around and paces away.

Damen whistles a happy tune as he comes back from his vacation from Malinor. He lowers his delightful melody as he sees that Kralta has become more dreadful. The birds no longer sing a tune, the people aren't around the streets, and what people remain seem sad, looking to their shoes as they barely speak.

Damen raises his eyebrow as he continue along, and taps one of the peasants shoulder. He turns to speak to Damen and raises his head, mumbling as he looks to Damen's chin."Yes... Damen?" Damen adjusts his worn out jacket as he speaks "Oi oi! Woss 'appen whoile I lefts 'ere? Everehone miss me too muchs?" The man lets out a sigh before he speaks "There has been a death, I do not wish ta speak of it.." Damen chuckles as he talks "A death?! I jus' went ta Malynorian Whorehouse, cause tat's all elves are good fer anehways! Baha!" The peasent shakes his head at Damen's dark joke as he turns his head. Damen goes to leave before he spots Hunwald, leaning against the beam with slight tears in his eyes, uncaring that Damen walks up to him. "Hunwaldeh, who doied up in 'ere?" Hunwald continues to look down as he speaks softly "Korfs." Damen immediately frowns, and lowers his own head. "Korfos... Korfos can't die, we 'ad such a good toime togetha, I boughts him a *****, an' he even vouched fer me!"

Damen continues to ramble on as he turns, wiping the tears from his eyes as he throws his hands up, walking towards his house.
