The Arrival Of Jack Hughes...

It is a cold, windy night in the land of Anthos. Very few travel during the evening due to the dangers the night brings. From the undead rising to avenge Iblees, to bandits hoping to catch some poor traveller off guard and strip them of their possessions. Jack sighs, wishing he had waited until morning before travelling out. He had decided to set out at dusk, and travel through the night. A foolish decision. He felt tired, both mentally and physically. He was ready to drop to his knees, and never move again...

 

Jack didn't completely know where he was headed. All his parents had told him was "Follow the Anthos Highway. And then, and only then will your journey to the Oren lands be complete". Both of Jacks parents are monks, and Jack pretty much spent his whole life growing up around the Cloud Temple. As a young man, Jack was always excited to hear news of the outside world. He had always aspired to leave the safety of his home, and travel the lands. And he still retained these hopes in his older years...

 

Jack continues onwards, still feeling hopeless and exhausted. As he walks the paths, he notices many abandoned structures. He's already found an archery range, travellers camp and an inn that have no sign of life anywhere. Why they're like that and how they're still up is beyond Jacks thinking, but he carries. Desperate to get to his destination soon...

 

At first, when Jack told his parents of his goals they were very hesitant to allow him to leave. As, after all, his parents were and still are monks. They wanted Jack to become the same. To become a religious preacher, praying to the creator and resurrecting the dead. But that isn't what Jack wanted, however. He didn't want to remain in a temple all day like his parents. No. He wanted to face the world, and see what it has to offer for him. Whether good or bad, he shall pull through. He shall prevail...

 

Jack had been walking for nearly the whole night now. He was all but ready to give up... but before he could, he saw it. Saw the billboard saying "Welcome to the Anthos Highway!". Jack felt relieved at this. But his journey was far from over. He had made it to the Oren lands alive and unscathed. Now he has to find a home, find work and settle down. He does not know his future.... he does not know whether in the years to come he will be in riches or rags. All he knows, is that his destiny awaits...

 

(( This'll be my new and only character for a while now. I know I've been changing characters alot, but I have a good feeling about this one. There's a lot of cool events happening soon also, which will give me a chance for my character to meet some people and make some friends IC. This won't be my only character forever. He will be around for a long time, but chances are I'll have a second character who's a noble also ))
