The Return Of The Gauntlet

Notes are sent throughout Anthos, pinned to the various noticeboards of its towns and cities. A message is even placed on a post halfway down the Orc path. It reads as follows,

 

 

To the people of Anthos,

 

Almost a century ago, there existed the Malinor Gauntlet, a great and complex obstacle course that was famed for its difficulty. It is my pleasure to announce that in elven lands, the Malinor Gauntlet shall be built again: revised, improved and revived. Upon completion, the people of Anthos are invited to take place in a contest of speed, agility and endurance using the Gauntlet. Malinor shall also afterwards be willing to speak with other nations who may want to be lent access to the Gauntlet for training purposes.

 

The Gauntlet returns.

Cael reads the notice as he passes through Malinor, raising a brow curiously as he takes one of them and folds it into a tight square, placing it in his pocket. Walking away slowly, he talks to himself under his breath..

 

"The Gauntlet, hrm....I'll be curious to see if the skill required to go through it is in any way comparable to the skill required to go through the original....."

 

He thinks for a moment, before leaving the bounds of the city-state.

 

"I wonder if they will bring back the lava.."
