Dreek 1633 Share Posted June 4, 2013 (Written in normal speech for simplicity.) My fellow lords, Grand King Forin needed the power to efend the kingdom against a rebellion. Recently though, he has gone behind the Lord's backs, informing us of next to nothing, though I only speak for my self farren and Nalro. As we see with the treaty with the Blood eagles, he has made a feckin treaty with a group in Oren that assosiates itself with the Blackmont, who were commonly known to launch raids on our holds and to rob our homes in wee hours of the night. Aside from that, King Thorin has attempted to, and done so, obtain money from the coffers of his lords, and clan fathers under him. He had also refused topay the legion for a full two to three elven weeks, causing the legion pay to come from my own coffers, not the kingdom's. I know he has also not distributed pay, or has withheld on paying the guild leaders at some times, I have hard the numerous complaints.I believe that his recent sickness has affected his mind in a way that would hinder his thinking slightly, so I do not blame him for his actions entirely. I simply believe that he should be lowered to medium crown authority until it comes a time that the kingdom needs to have absolute authority back, which will hopefully never take place. It is the Lord's job to advise the king, while staying in the background. Currently, the king acts without our advise and hardly ever informs us of his actions, infact with the current rule, the only thing that he cannot do without informing us is removing one of us and changing the laws. He has also shown that he disregards the law that he himself passed. Heclaims to have passed a law about guards and the legion. He claims that it was passed during King Omithiel's reign, when in fact it was not. When told this, he simplydisregarded it and broke the law that he himself thought of and wrote up. Grand King Thorin Grandaxe has shown to be incapable of retaining absolute authority, as he has completely abused it and possibly damaged the kingdom. Considering this I think it is due measure that his crown authority is lowered back down to medium crown authority. *Dreek nods to Dom and Telchar, prepared for their responses.*
