The Bridge Is Bloody

Blood drips slowly down the bridge into Kilburn county, running down the wooden slope in a slow river of red, a miniature replication of the river running beneath it. 

 

A body, mangled and beaten lies on the edge of the bridge, his throat is sliced, many gashes in his chest. He seems to have been handled brutally by something quite powerful. What was it? It certainly wasn't hanging around for no sign of the would-be attacker could be found apart from bloody steps leading away into the forest. 

 

The footsteps are large, bigger than any human foot and the print goes deep into the ground, indicating the weight of the mysterious being.

 

The dead man clutches a note in his hand, a little blood staining the edges. The note is written on yellowed and old paper in low quality ink, it is short but written with surprising skill and perfect grammar. Some might find it somewhat strange that the attacker that showed off such brutality left this note on the body. Or did he?

 

Nevertheless, to any who looked at the note it read this;

 

 

 

"This man was at the wrong place at the wrong time. He was a random victim of the vicious.

But please, rest assured. The next time you see this symbol, it shall not be only one man that dies.

 

With respects, your friends assassin."
