Life Before Loss of Memory:

     

     His father, Lon  Irongut, was a powerful member of the Irongut

clan. He had been preparing his son to become his heir as the Grand Engineer
when he died. His mother, Helen Grandaxe (Maiden name) was an unimportant part
of the Grandaxe clan. His mother and father met when Helen traveled to
Kal’Azgoth looking for a better life because she was down on her times.
Ignotis’ father took her in and they soon married and had one single child.

 

~There the story of Ignotis begins~

    Ignotis awakes “Ouch” he hits his head on some rubble above him. He is groggy and

unsure of what happened. A voice shouts “Oi ‘es alive”. Ignotis feels a pull on
his arm as he is pulled out of the rubble. The torch light beams on his face.
He speaks “Wo Were am I?” the dwarf responds “Outside Kal”Azgro’t” Ignotis has no recollection of anything before this time. A man (assumed to be his father) was also
pulled out. He was dead. It is thought that the two were mining in this' remote area for rare minerals when the tunnel collapsed. After this he is given food and was provided with some money and a first name. Without a clan he sets out to find a place where he belongs. Now he has a great fear of mining and will not under any circumstance go into the mines. Somewhere in his past he must have been training as an engineer or builder because now Ignotis is most comfortable building. It is his only connection to the past. It also keeps him out of the mines. He runs a shop where he creates custom inventions. However business has not been coming lately and he is frustrated he wants to make a change in the world. He wants to be remembered. 
 

Ambitions for the Future: Find his mother if she is still alive, Build equipment of all sorts from farming to military and make a living with his passion. Fit in.

Personality:

Generally friendly but if you have acute senses you might notice a scar still unhealed from the trauma of the accident. Sometimes distant. Brash and
inexperienced in the workings of the world due to his adolescence.
 

Skills:

Building can build military equipment and other devices. Keen mind. Can use a
sword but is by no means a skilled swordsman.

Each
question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which
must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible
and do not break character or lore at any point.
 

1. Whilst mining deep in the undergrounds of Kalos you see a large deposit of

diamond ore at the other side of the ravine you are on. There is a very thin rock
bridge that looks precariously unstable, but it is the only way to access the
deposit. What do you do?
 

     A large deposit of diamonds sits tantalizingly close across

that treacherous sone bridge. Ignotis decides that
the risk is worth the reward and he calls upon his to friends. "Ye will
get half profit for insuring my safety. By using a safety rope recently created
by Ignotis they help him across. The cross over passes
with no incident however Ignotis’ legs tremble as he
crosses. On the way back he grumbles about mining under his breath. Then all of
a sudden the bridge crumbles. Ignotis curses "Gailuk" as he is left
hanging in the middle of the canyon. However his friends manage to reel him
back to safety. He stands there brushes off his clothing and says “hat was
fun”. Inside he thinks how he would never want to do anytig like that again.
His friends stare admiring his courage one speaks up “you are the bravest of us
all”. Ignotis smiles in his head he thinks “I wish”


 

 

2. You are sitting in the local tavern with a large pint of ale in your hand - sitting nearby you is a rather young dwarf whom is clearly going through a bad time. He is crying to himself, and clutching a small wooden hammer toy. In the other corner of the room
two shady dwarves are sitting whispering to each other and pointing
occasionally at the dwarf. They stand up, one with a small dagger in his hand and begin
to approach the young dwarf. What do you do?
 

     Ignotis steps between the scum and the innocent boy and

draws his sword hoping to not have to use it. He knows if it
comes down to it he will lose a fight. Ignotis has only one option,
intimidation. So he bellows "If either of you cowards dare touch this boy then I think
you will find it hard to enjoy your gains with your heads sitting separated
from your shoulders". The two dwarfs look at each other then at Ignotis one
sheathes the dagger and then they both bolt quicker than lightning. The boy says "Do
ye have anythin at all to give" Ignotis gives him money and then leaves, there is nothing
more he can do for the boy.


 

 

3.Whilst wandering through the Dwarven Caverns you hear a voice call out to you; “Oi, ye’! C’mere n’ get ye’rself an ale!”. You spin on your heel and see a heavily bearded bar-owner
looking at you - a huge grin on his face, and a mug of ale in his hand. How
do you react?
 

     Ignotis stroked his gruff beard as he continued through the

cavern. A drunk bartender says from behind “Oi, ye’! C’mere n’ get ye’rself an
ale!” Ignotis hates alcohol but no self-respecting dwarf would say no so to
keep Image he follows. There are
men drinking away the troubles of the day.
The bar owner hands Ignotis a mug and he chugs it down. When he finishes he
shouts "The next round is on me"! He hopes that that will keep their
respect even if he can only drink 1 or 2 pints. After sitting watching as the
men drank 5, 10, and then 12 pints of bear he begins to stagger home. He vomits
up the 2 pints of bear he drank. At least the men respected him now.
