Peter Chivay 2494 Popular Post Share Posted June 21, 2013 [[ OOC Rules ]] Dwarven v. Oren Conflict DO NOT POST ON THIS, this has been discussed between myself, Meanking, Chaqery, and Gorum and is subject to change. These rules apply to all allies within the conflict on both the Oren and Dwarven sides. -Rules about raiding- 1. 5 man raids no longer require VAs all around, however the VA rules that apply to looting and lock picking still apply. 2. Raids can be as frequent one raid per two days on a settlement / fortification. 3. A nation can only be raided two times a single day, and the same area may not be raided twice in a row. 4. In raids, you cannot destroy any blocks or bring any type of siege equipment. It is a simple raid, if gates are closed, they are to remain closed. 5. Nation leaders / Land leaders must be told five minutes in advance of the raid, as to avoid multiple raids on one location. -Rules about Skirmishing- 1. A faction head or anyone of their high command must be informed and negotiated with before a skirmish commences. 2. Skirmishes should not exceed fifteen people on each side, as to avoid miniature battles. 3. A Skirmish can happen every three days (To allow a cool down period). 4. Skirmishes can be refused by the other faction's head. 5. Rules must be established prior to the skirmish to avoid confusion when using battle brews or anything that enhances MC abilities. -The War Front Concept- The War Front is a new concept that was brainstormed by the Dwarven and Orenian leadership. It is a means of logically progressing a war while at the same time containing the conflict and keeping the RP centered around the realistic settings of a war in medieval times. Lets be honest, a group of human soldiers would not be able to get all the way into Dwarven territory and raid the Dwarven Capital, correct? That is why we are establishing the 'War Front' concept. It has a multitude of new rules, that establish a defined zone as a Front Line of the war. This Front Line is dynamic, and depending on how the war progresses, will shift back and forth, further into either Oren or Dwarven lands. This war is currently starting on neutral ground, about halfway from Kingston and Storms Crossing. This is where the War Front will be originally established. The idea of a War Front is that you may not raid or Skirmish anywhere past the certain areas of each faction's War Front. The large red circle is the current War Front, encompassing both Storm's Crossing and Kingston. Both these 'establishments' are within the War Front, so only they may be raided without Nation Leader consent. This may seem small, however since the current battle has not been expanded at all, it would not make sense for huge amounts of Dwarfs or Humans to go past the Nation's crossing bridge without being noticed. The black circle is the current 'combat zone' and should be considered no-man's land. If a faction wishes to positions troops in this area, it is allowed and impromptu skirmishes may happen at this location. However, if troops retreat back past the no-man's land circle, they can't be chased further into the nation's land. On either side of the fluctuating Combat Zone, lie the massive War Camps established by each nation. The camps are constructed out of temporary fortifications, and serve as the housing for fields of tents that house medieval armies on the move. These are the mustering grounds, and are being established so that the war is more than just a series of PvP battles. It's a full RP experience. These camps however, won't be established until after the first battle. Once more, this is completely Dynamic and will shift after the first battle. Chaqery 427 Share Posted June 25, 2013 The War Front has now been updated! The Dwarven Warcamp is now the fortress of Storm's Crossing. The Orenian Warcamp will be constructed upon their side of the black Combat Zone. The RP of the War is expected to revolve around these warcamps, as they serve as staging and mustering grounds. Creator and Yemaker's blessings be upon you.
