In-Character Information:
Complete the following biography on your character:

Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long):

Cuiviénen started in humble beginnings. Living in Neumalin as a child, he was soon abandoned by his father, a drunkard who had fought in many wars against the Orcs. Unable to cope with his past, and feeling that he had no right to raise a son, when he couldn't take care of himself, he abandoned him one night. Cuiviénen's mother had died during childbirth. The only way he even knew of her fair face, was from pictures of her that hung from the walls.

Squating in the family home for a couple months, Cuiviénen survived by either begging for money, digging through the garbage, and working for a short time in a local potion shop, where he learned basic potion making by watching the shop keeper in the back, when he was busy at work. After the owner could no longer afford to pay an extra hand,  went back to begging until he could find his next job.It was during this time, when he lost his house, and everything that tied him to his family, that he took up the name of Shadowmeire, casting aside the name his mother had bestowed upon him, and taking up this new mantle. At the time, a young human couple who had set up a stall in the local farmers market happened upon Shadow one night, and asked him if he wanted to come live with them. They had the room, and the husband, Kyle, needed help in the fields, tending the corn, potatoes, and carrots that they were growing, and selling in Neumalin. Shadow graciously agreed to come with them, grabbed the  picture of his mother, and left his other possessions behind.

During his shot time in the household of Kyle, and his wife, Jackie, he spent a majority of his time tending the fields. Hard work to be sure, but at least he finally had a family again. He worried about his biological father from time to time, but as the years passed, it became a fleeting memory. His worry now was pulling his weight on the farm. Kyle was not a book smart man, but he taught himself enough through common sense. Kyle's way of thinking, and problem solving through simple deduction was something that helped Shadow develop as a young elf, and is something that made him what he is today. He knew he would never have the education that the nobles had, yet it was enough to help him think his way through any troubles he may run into. At year 20, he set out to leave home, and start up in the military. In his time there he was taught that a solider needs to do only one thing: Listen to orders. thinking was not something they needed him to do, just listen to orders, and fight. Fight he did, They pay was good, the food was horrible compared to Jackie's and he found out real early one thing: Elves are horrible with Swords. He stuck with a bow. He had a beautiful one picked out, a yew bow, silver string that he polished every week.

After a while of being in the military however, he became restless with this weapon, It must have been fate. One day while training in the outskirts of Neumalin, he happened upon a caravan that was covered in exotic weapons. Swords sharp enough to cut parchment in a river, giant shields that stood up to his scrawny frame, and what appeared to be a simple sickle, attached to a weighted chain. The owner caught his eye at this particular weapon, it was an old weapon from the years of Asulon. The story goes that an army was tasked with killing an earth drake. After a day and a half of fighting the great beast, he was finally felled. a band of thieves and Dwarves, saw thier chance, snuck up to the carcass at nightfall, and scrapped the dragon for scales, teeth, talons, and most importantly venom. This particular weapon was made from that very husk, made of Drake Fang, and still secretes that deadly venom with the slightest prick. After hearing that tale, Shadowmeire bought it on the spot, having just enough money to buy it, and a couple meals until the next pay.

Since that day, it has been his primary weapon of choice, using it to either ensnare enemy swords, or their arms, and then use the blade as a finishing blow.

Eventually as the years progressed, Shadowmeire's family home, where he spent his childhood, was burned and razed by the war between Humans and Dwarves in the lands between Kingston and Neumanlin. Today he mainly resides in Neumalin, although he is said to wander around the lands as he sees fit, always trying to learn how to do something better than he currently can... always striving to be a better man than his biological father was.

[b]1. As you walk through the deep forests you hear the sound of whispering and snickering. Upon inspection you realize that a group of older elves are mocking a small elven child. How do you react?

Answer:"OI! whats going on over here?" Shadowmeire called out to the gang of elves. they were surrounding a fragile looking elven child, thier shoulders lined up so he could barely see the small frame of the child. "This rat has stolen something of ours and we want it back!" One of the more surly elves cackled back at him.

"Oh really? And it was something precious enough to gang up on THIS small child? that seems a bit out of place, dontchu think?", a sour face appeared on Shadow's face as he dropped his traveling cart, and reached for a drink
"Dont move a muscle!" Shadow stopped reaching for his water jug and stared blankly at the elf, who had arched a bow string at him, staring down the arrow shaft, and back at the other 4 elves with him.

" I think you may have stolen something from us as well, now that im thinking about it" Shadow now realised that these elves were probably a vagabond group who lived in these woods, takeing advantage of the narrow road to steal from travelers. "I think you should move on, and Ill be taking the child with me, as well." He was unafraid of the bow, he new that this was probably a farce act that he used on most people. After all, the skill of Wood Elves with a bow was well known throughout Anthos.

"I said to stop moving," the other elves now drew thier weapons. Two drew Throwing knives, and one drew a small flail. As Shadow crept closer and closer to the girl, two daggers flew by his face, one knicked his face, right below the left eye, he flinched at the cut,and cursed under his breath. "i said to stop moving, and while your at it, drop your bow, we dont want any trouble." He stopped this time. took his bow off his back, and threw it on the ground at their feet. As they were inspecting the weapon, he unraveled the chain from his upper arm, and the blade of the kusarigama fell to the ground. "Hes got another weapon!" yelled one of the elves but it was too late, the chain was tightly around the bowman's throat with the blade of the sickle curving around his exposed throat.

"Now, i said let her go, with me, and we can forget all this unpleasantness. Give me the girl, and ill spare this elf's life." His voice was deeper now, deadly serious, as his eyes gazed at the other three elves from the hair of the bowman. They relented and allowed the girl to go, she hopped on his cart, obviously a little shaken from what was going on. Shadow let the bowman go, and took his own yew bow from him, and threw it to the girl who caught it and placed it on the cart, along with the rest of his belongings.
The four ran off, frantically bounding through the woods till all they could see were trees.
"Well, that was a bad way to end the day. Are you ok, young one?" No answer
Shadow looked behind him, only to see the young girl was gone as well....

" And where the hell is my wallet?................. Ugh what a hassle!"
He shrugged it off after looking for both his wallet and the girl for about a half hour. there was no scent, and no tracks.... so he picked up his cart and continued down the road.

2. Whilst wandering through the Elven forests you come across a frail old man with a walking stick. He collapses in front of you, falling to the ground with a sharp thud. Out of his pocket falls a small pouch of gold coins, which hits the ground and splits open spreading coins across the pathway. The man lies there, defenseless - what do you do?

Answer:O,O "HEY OLD TIMER!" Shadowmeire yelled out to him, but only heard a groan, He ran up to him, leaving the coins where they layed, the only thing that concerned him was the mans health at this point "HEY OLD MAN? HEY! WAKE UP" but nothing happen, he wasn't dead, he still had a pulse.... a shallow one, but still a pulse. Shadowmeire grabbed his canteen, and started pouring water on the old mans face. The old man woke up with a start, sputtering from the trace amounts of water that ran into his nose, wide eyed, as if expecting an attack, he cubbed Shadow in the head with the walking stick in his hand. "OW you old bastard watch where your swinging that thing! Are you alright?"

"Eh? oh yes im quite all right! I was simply taking a nap that is all. not sure what you overreacted for, Octavion, but there was no need to pour water in my face!"

"Octavion? who is that?" Shadowmeire mumbled to himself

"Everyone knows about you Octavion, the dark haired elf, who safeguarded Merith for a fortnight against the Orc seige?" he collected the coins, while sewing his coin satchel

"Well old man, if your well, i'd best be on my way?" Shadow shrugged his pack onto his back, and grabbed the cart.

"Im about to set up camp, why don't you stay a while and listen to some old legends, Octavion?" The smell of bacon was more than Shadow could resist, so he heeded the old mans words, and played the part of this young Octavion he was mistaken for. Dawn was creeping over the land before he finally made his way towards home.

3. Whilst traversing the Elven Woodlands, you come across a small clearing in which a colored carriage sits. A trader stands outside of it and calls you over, telling you of his wares. He points out that his carriage sells just about everything, and that he's willing for you to haggle for a price. What does your character do? (Please include:- item, haggling for prices and the discussion involved).

Answer: It was a set of three carriages, all of them selling a different set of goods. One cart was selling weapons, with a squire showing off the craftsmanship of blades that could cut through a melon and be undeterred by the fruit, there was another selling armor. Vast metal armor that must have weighed as much as Shadowmeire did. All of them were gaudy and ornate however, probably a piece to sit in the house of a noble, where he could brag about how many orcs he slew in it. The third and final Carriage, however is what he was looking for. Basically a tavern on wheels, He needed a good drink. He sat down at the barstool, opened up his money satchel only to find that he was lacking in money. "What can i do for yeh today?" It was a huge, monster of a man. His arms must have been half the width of Shadow's whole body, and knew why too: There was a monster broadaxe behind the counter, no doubt used to deal with the wretches who would try to steal a drink or two. "Unfortuantly, im out of money, so your finest water!" A small smile appeared on his face, "Or can i trade you something for a drink today?" The bartender lifted an eyebrow at this

"Watchu got in mind, little elf?"

"Uh...", not expecting that as an answer he started rummaging through his bags "Little elf... im not little.... im about average sized.... AH Here it is!" He lifted a small dagger, even though it was orcish made, it was still, in its own deadly way, a beautiful weapon, with an onyx encrusted hilt.

"Aye that will do. How about ill give you 10 minas and you can have a drink with it as well, for such a nice piece" He took the dagger, and thrust it into the back counter, shaking all the bottles that lined the wall. "Cheers." Shadow drank in deep, and sat there for a while, trading stories with other travelers until the mobile tavern closed up shop.

Your improvements were good, but you could still use some work.

For one, your meta-gaming definition is alright, but your explanation is not entirely accurate. I would suggest going to this wiki page to try and get a bit better of an understanding.

As far as your bio, your additions were good, but there's a few things that you added that could use a bit of work, in my opinion. For one, proper potion making would fall under alchemy, something which has complicated and significant lore that I would like to be seen learnt in RP rather than just having it in your bio. Also, elves are not just innately horrible with swords, although I realize that was more his opinion than fact. The bow you described does not sound realistic, as a silver bowstring wouldn't work. You really shouldn't have a weapon made from a drake fang.

Also, given your app, your character sounds more human than elven, more prone to fighting than peace and nature. I would consider applying as a human instead, although that is up to you.

Your first ORQ still contains powergaming in it. The use of the sickle chain thing with that much precision, that you could get it around a person's neck without killing him is incredibly unrealistic. The suggestion that you could have it concealed is not very realistic either. Overall, I'd just suggest going over each of your ORQ's and looking for things such as this, and revising them accordingly.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. You may reapply 24 hours after the time on the post below this one.
