In Asulon, A Kharajyr named Miian was kidnapped by the Orcs.
The Orcs agreed to give Miian back if the Kharajyr could beat the Orcs in a
Klomp, or fight. The Kha’ lost, not allowed to take Miian home.

Shato is a very young kitten. He is curious about the new
world around him, and interested in discovering new things.

Character’s ambitions within the Kharajyr:

 

As Shato matures, he will most likely want to follow in his
father’s footsteps and become a Priest of Metztli.

 

Character’s strengths/weaknesses:

 

Right now, Shato is a very curious kitten, which may or may
not be a good thing. His curiosity could get him into danger or trouble, but
also allow him to learn about the world.

Situational Roleplay Questions

 

1. You are heading home from a successful hunting trip when
a group of three heavily armoured humans jump out from behind a tree and start
demanding the surrender of your catch over to them. Each man has a sword drawn
and they are gradually pacing towards you...

 

 

 

How does your character react?

 

Shato backs up as the men jump out at him. He holds his
catch in his jaws, getting down on all fours.

 

“ ‘Ow cute!” The first man says mockingly. “A ‘ittle kitty and
his catch!”

 

“Hand it over.” The second man says. As he says this, Shato backs
up a bit more. The men notice this and circle around him. “Now.” He adds.

 

Shato looks at each of the men, refusing to give up his
catch. One of the men lunges at Shato, slashing down. Shato is hit in the lower
back, a gash appearing. Shato lets out a yelp, dropping his catch. Another man
jumps forward, grabbing the raw meat. The three of them run off, leaving Shato injured
in the jungle.

 

 

 

2. You arrive at the temple of Metztli only to see one of
your closest friends stealing the sacred blue gems from the altar, a most
unholy act for a Kharajyr.

 

 

 

How does your character react?

 

Shato lets out a large gasp. “Wattah iss youawh duing?!”

 

Shato’s friend turns suddenly, obviously not expecting
company. “Ittza nawt wut iit luks lyke!”

 

Shato thinks a moment before making a crucial decision. “Gawrdz!”

 

Shato’s friend looks shocked that he would call the guards
on him. He drops the gems, running. He leaves the temple right as the guards
enter. A few tears begin to roll down Shato’s face as he points the guards in
the direction his friend went.

 

3. You are in the Cloud Temple when a stout, angry little
dwarf begins yelling highly racist terms towards you at the top of his lungs.
Although unarmed, the dwarf continues to yell after he makes eye contact with
you.

 

 

 

How does your character react?

 

“Stawp itt, ape!” Shato shouts at the dwarf.

 

The dwarf pretends to look scared for a moment before
saying, “You’re a weak ‘ittle kitteh!”

 

Shato narrows his eyes at the little man. “Youu bawd ape.
Bawd.” He turns, trying to walk away from the dwarf. However, the dwarf follows
him, persistent. He continues to yell racist terms. Shato turns, baring his
teeth while hissing at him. The dwarf immediately takes a step back. Shato
turns back, running off on all fours.

 

4. Fire has broken out over the jungle city and you can
hear the screaming of two Kha’ nearby. As you go investigate, you notice that
one of your friends and the Tlatlanni’s white-furred child have gotten
themselves trapped in opposite ends of a burning building. The roof creaks
above you, if you were to get involved, you would only have time to save one
before the building collapsed.

 

 

 

How does your character react?

 

Shato looks between his friend and the Tlatlanni’s child. He
drops to his four legs, as he is much faster that way. He takes a single step
towards his friend, before dashing towards the Tlatlanni’s child. Shato leaps
over a burning pillar of wood, landing near the white-furred child. He immediately
grabs hold of the child, standing up to carry it.

 

Shato makes his way out of the burning building. As he steps
out, the roof collapses. Screams of his friend are heard throughout the city.
Shato sets the child down, dropping to his knees as tears roll down his furry cheeks.
He sits there, morning his friend’s death, until someone else helps him make
his way out of the city.
