A short letter is sent by courier to each member of the Chair, it contains the following message.

 

"

Dissolution of the Earl Class

 

It has been decided that the Earl Class shall be removed from the hold of Dal Cais. It has come to the Parliament’s attention in a recent hearing that Earls have little purpose in our lands as all Chieftains hold a position in the Parliament.

 

Effects of Dissolution of the Earl Class

• The title of Earl ceases to exist throughout the hold.

• The Earls will no longer represent the Chieftains in Parliament.

• The Earls will no longer hold a place in Parliament, unless Chieftain of a Clan.

• The Earls and the members of Parliament continue in office for the acquittal of certain administrative duties until they are replaced.

• All business of the Earl within their Earldom is terminated with dissolution.
