Minecraft Account Name: 23rechts
How old are you?: 16 blossoming years by today

Time-Zone: CEST, Central European Summer Time (GMT +2 Hours)

Have you read, understood and agreed to the rules?: I have.

What previous experience have you had in role-playing?:

I played on a small Medieval RP-server for one and a half years. It was a good, grown-together community and we took an earnest approach to roleplay.

How did you hear about the the Lord of the Craft?: Through search on the internet.

Link any applications that you have previously made for the server: None so far.

Have you posted this application on the Minecraft Forum? If not, then please do so (link above): It should be there.

Have you read the Human lore, and shall you ensure you make use of it and follow it in your biography?: I read through it and I'll do my very best.

Definitions
In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!:

Role-playing: Acting as if you were another character. It goes with interacting with other people and generally creating a believable "alternative" world.

Meta-gaming: Using Information that the character one plays wouldn't be aware of.

Power-emoting: To (try) to force actions upon other players by using emotes, robbing them of their ability to react to "my" respective actions.

In-Character Information:
Complete the following biography on your character:

Full Name: Harold Grimsson
Current Age: 36
Sub-race: Northerner

Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long):

Born in a small village near the Empire's border, Harold was raised in a normal family. His father was the village's blacksmith and it was never questioned that Harold would take over his work at some point. Until then he was raised by a kind mother, causing his attachment to family ties. Life was neither hard nor easy, money was just enough to make ends meet. Dwelling so near a border is a risk and by now and then young Harold would see his father leave with the citizen militia to fend off bandits and marauders, causing him to be familiar with combat to a certain extent. He's no warrior though.

Eventually his father would retire, placing his full-grown son as the village's smith - a task he faces with great affection, knowledge and experience. Increased contact with villagers and neighbours would soon make him see the whole settlement as part of his family, a part he faithful cares for. Now how would someone, seemingly content with his life like Harold completely change? Well, his village was not burned nor looted. :) No, it were economic reasons that made him leave his hometown! Trade focused more and more on the big cities, rarely would merchants now come to see the small cottages and fields of his home, few would hear the busy sound of his hammer forming metal or his strong arms reparing old buckets...

With the latest increase in tax, directly carried out by the local lord, the situation for an expensive business such as forging would become unbearable. A hard decision, but Harold, now without relatives, leaves his home and heads for the burstling cities of the empire - A devout Smith starting a new life.

Ambitions for the Future: At some point be able to purchase a smithy and carry out his old work./ To find a place among the people and fellow citizens.

Personality: Warm, welcoming and caring to members of his personal family. To get included however is hard labor and though friendship will last, it will be hard to acquire for Harold can be quite mistrusting and careful, even gritty sometimes. Generally mistrusts and harbors dislike against foreigners and non-humans.

Skills: Excellent smith in regard of forging and reparing tools and devices, has quite profound knowledge of weapon forging while still being far from a master in that field of work. Knows how to read and write but doesn't use it apart from writing down budgets.

Appearance: (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): A li'l belly, big, strong, a bit rough around the edges...  9FBV6Gh.png

Open-Response-Questions
Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point.
____

1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do?

Answer: If the case is really that clear, I'd call the guards and try to catch the figure with them. Once captured, I'd leave soon as I would not be keen on finding out who he was or what he was up to. I did what I had to and I'm only interested to get back home.

2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react?

Answer: Rush to his aid though I would not try to kill the two bandits, knowing my limits. I'd try to make my way back into town where help is to be had.

3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens).

Answer: First and foremost I would buy what I came for, either food or goods and devices for the smithy. Supposing I would have some money left, I'd may buy new cloth too.
As for haggling, I'd suggest the man prices I would deem appropiate (Which they usually are. If my guess is terribly wrong I would be open for corrections, though.)

While this was quite a good application, there are two significant issues which I really can't ignore. I wish I could put it on pending, but the two issues are two of the more important parts of the application.

For one, you must use more of the server's lore in your biography. Please, I encourage you to spend a bit of time browsing the wiki and forums we have to learn a bit of the server's lore and incorporate that into your biography.

Secondly, your ORQ's need to be extended, as they are pretty short, and do not give as much insight into how your character acts as longer ones would. I would advise looking at some of the implemented applications and use them as examples.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. You may reapply 24 hours after the time on the post below this one.
