racingbrother 226 Share Posted July 31, 2013 In each mailbox in Lenfarthing, from Wilderness Way to Lighthouse Lane, there lies a poster titled, "The Grand Shogging Tourney" with a small drawing just beneath it. Underneath each mailbox lies a wooden shovel and a hollowed out pumpkin, size of which to fit a Halfling's head. The posters are made out made out of thick paper, yellow from too much sunlight. Each one of the posters read... "Good day to you, Halflings, Hobbits, and all others living about Lenfarthing Town! It's my pleasure to announce to you all that we're holding a shogging tourney in four Elven days. The tourney will be taking place in the festival area, where foods, drinks, and good company will be provided. Now, for those of you who aren't familiar with shogging, it is a grand Halfling sport that can be played in singles or doubles and the objective is to knock the other competitors off of their logs. To play single shogs, two Halflings have to climb atop each log, wearing a hollowed out pumpkin and brandishing a wooden shovel. After a countdown, the competitors will attempt to knock one another off of their logs, and send them into the lake. The first person to win two out of three shogs wins the game. To play double shogs, you do the same thing stated above with just another Halfling on your log. The rules of shogging are quite simple. You're not aloud to take the pumpkin off the top of your head ((No f5 mode)), no use of anything except your wooden shovels, and no jumping off of your log to hit the other competitor off of theirs. The tourney will include two different tournaments; one for singles shongging, and another for doubles shogging. The winner of the singles shogging will be rewarded with a special iron shovel, while the doubles competitions will be rewarded with a special stone shovels. If you want to sign up for the doubles or singles tournaments, send me, Toppo Stitionwise, a bird with your name, or the name of you and your partner. ((Post below)) Good day to you all, and happy shogging!" He strolls over and reads it. "Huh, this seems koinda fun actually.." he smiles and wonders what exactly Shog is.
