Definitions

In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any
definitions from elsewhere!:

Role-playing: creating and acting in the shoes of a character. Living,
speaking, acting like their character would.

Meta-gaming: using out of character knowledge to assist yourself or
others in game. For example, your friend far away warns you out of game that
there is an army marching for Abresi, but your character can’t know this as
they are unable to communicate in game.

Power-emoting: Creating your own predetermined outcomes to an action
when emoting. For example, “player 1 stabs his sword through player 2s chest,
killing him. They should instead say Player 1 attemps to stab Player 2, aiming
for his chest”.

In-Character Information:

Complete the following biography on your character:

Full Name: Fenair Serax

Current Age: 21

Sub-race (if any): northerner

Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): Fenair Serax spent his early years living with his two brothers Jayce
and Drew, his widowed father Borasker in the town of Kastoria. Drew left home
at an early age to join the local milita, and while Jayce was willing to help
their father with the farm, Fenair was quite reluctant, mostly staying inside
playing with the herbs and plants he found while adventuring around outside, in
fact most of his knowledge of herbalism is from personal experience. Although
his father, Borasker didn’t really appreciate him messing around with the
potential poisons, though he let him, for he knew that Fenair enjoyed it so
much, that hopefully he could make a living from it one day.

In their teenage years, the brothers and their father left their home
and bought a farm on the outskirts of Abresi. Drew then joined the Holy Oren
Empire’s army, while Jayce and Borasker would tend to the farm, as usual. But
Fenair would stay home to hone his skills in alchemy. He also cooked meals for
his siblings, and cleaned the house to make sure he wasn’t a complete waste of
space.

After the Dwarven kingdom of Urguan broke their alliance with the Holy
Oren Empire, Drew was instructed to ask his father to provide the army with food
and provisions. Borasker, being a very patriotic man, was happy to assist. This
drained all of his father’s resources and seeing as the Holy Oren Empire lost
the war, these resources were never repaid. Fenair’s brother Jayce set out to
earn back some money for his father by any legal means necessary, but Fenair
stayed home with his father keeping the farm in check until his brother
returned. A year had past, and Fenair was growing inpatient, so he decided to
leave home along with his brother Drew, to reunite with their brother jayce and
assist in returning his father’s fortune.

Ambitions for the Future: to reunite with his brother Jayce, and return his father’s fortune.

Personality: childish and immature, but can be serious if needed.

Skills: alchemy, herbalism,  tactical
thinking, teamwork, stealth.

Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): brown hair, blue eyes, black and brown leather
robes and hood, pale skin.

Any other details you wish to share about your character:

Open-Response-Questions

Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the
event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point.

____

1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards
the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do?

Answer: I approach the nearby guard subtly and inform him of the suspicious
actions, I then stay back to watch the confrontation, being ready to be of the
guards assistance if it is required. The suspicious character pulls out a
dagger as the guard is talking to him, I then rush to the guard’s assistance
threatening the figure with my weapon in hand, trying to look as confident as
possible, the man then turns and runs, and as more guards come to back up the
first one, they all chase the figure, I do not however, because I feel I have
done enough for the emperor and the guard.

2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react?

Answer: Knowing that im not a very good sword fighter, nor am i content with fighting a 2 v 1 fight, i decide that my best option is to try to distract the bandits while the old man escapes. so i charge through the clearing to confront the bandits and say “hey you two! two against one eh? And he is clearly unable to put up a fight anyway! Give me a try!” both the bandits turn around, surprised that someone is sticking up for the old man, almost imediatly after, they both charge at me, i give the man a hand signal to get him to run, he see's me and nods, then flees as i turn my attention back to the bandits. As they are both running towards me, i jump to the side to try to dodge their attacks, but one bandit swings his sword wide and slashes at my stomach. i look down and feel the warm blood trickle out, but i try to keep my head straight. i run behind the cottage to attempt an escape. the bandits follow me around the house, but its too late, i've already made it back into the forest, so the bandits decide to loot the cottage instead.

i make it to a nearby town to alert the local milita, but i see the old man there, he has already told them all they need to know, before i can say anything a group of armed men run out of the barracks towards the cottage. the old man turns to me and says "you did a very heroic thing young man, i am forever grateful." i thank him and inform him that i must continue my travels, but before i leave, he bandages up my wounds and gives me a hefty amount of minas for a reward, i thank him again as i depart the town.

3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind
a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens).

Answer: I approach the man with the intent of buying some of the plants and
herbs he has for sale, I see he is selling the rare Crimson Vase, a flower that
is useful for making thought inducing potions like love potions. I then tell
the shop owner “I’d like to buy 8 Crimson Vase petals”. He replies with “10
minas per petal, no lower!” which is a bargain, for a properly harvested petal
of course, but most of these are ripped and in poor condition. I then say “in
that condition? 7 minas and I’m doing you a favor!” he then reluctantly throws
the petals on the table as I give him the minas. I then walk away a happy man,
ready to stir up some devious concoctions.

Thank you for your
time
