o_Ben_o 193 Share Posted August 30, 2013 Within Abresi is the, The Lord High Sheriff's Office. The door appears to be guarded by two guards standing either side of the door way. As you attempt to open the door and enter the room, the guards lock their pikes together blocking your entrance in. The ask if you are here to see The Lord High Sheriff and you nod. They allow you into the room, moving their pikes out of the way. As you enter the room, the smell of burning herbs greets your nostrils. Sitting at desk is the Lord High Sheriff, he holds a Quill within his hand and appears to be writing something into a rather large book on the desk. After finishing his sentence he looks up , placing his quill in the Ink pot and he says, in his Auvergnian accent. "Bonjour, What can I do for you today?" [[This is an RP thread, it gives you the chance to bring matters in-front of the Lord High Sheriff. Please RP this correctly and don't worry about waiting your turn, just RP it as the person has been dealt with and I will RP'ly reply to each of you individually]]. Who is it that actually investigates the breaking of crimes, such as murders. Aye, I know theres the Sherrifs and the enforcers. But from what i've seen, they don't actually investigate crimes, just try and stop them and or punish the guilty person as the crime happens. He then replies saying "I am sorry if you feel this way about Law Enforcement of our Kingdom. I have only recently acquired the job of the Lord High Sheriff and I am doing whatever I have in my power to bring law and order to the streets of Abresi once more. I would like to remind you that the Enforcers are no longer part of Oren and were a poorly ran group of Law Enforcers. I would like to assure you, changes will be made within Abresi to bring Law and Order on our streets very soon. It is a matter of time and patience." A box, rapped in purple paper and tied with a silver ribbon has mysteriously appeared in the High Sheriffs office over night... ((PM to open it- to avoid meta gaming.)) The Lord High Sheriff receives the Box and looks it at curiously, he then calls to his guards "Who put this in here!?" One of the guards enters the room and sulks, not knowing. "My Lord, I do not know." The Guard shrugs his shoulders before The Lord High Sheriff gestures for him to leave the room. "How strange...." He thinks to himself as he sits back down, by his desk. I understand that you are new to office, and what not. I also noticed that you scrapped the enforcers for an Orenian Guard force. But point stands. Think of a guards position within the law at the moment. They see some one breaking the law, they step in. As simple as that really. But what i'm talking about is actually investigating. When a guard isn't there to stop the murder and instead stumbles on the body, its more or less (at least to my understanding) forgotten and treated as bad luck,and the murderer gets away. What i'm suggesting is a branch of the law tasked with investigating the crimes that slip through the guards nets." ((Basically, detectives! I think this could open up a whole new branch of rp. Obviously this will need to rely heavily on the villains to leave signs depicting the crime scene and what not, but other than that I think this could be cool)) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

It would take a lot of effort to keep in order and would require people with 'Out-of-the-box' thinking minds whom are able to crack mystery's however it could be possible. I can say now though, this will not happen until I have everything else running smoothly. The Orenian Guard is going to be disbanded as well due to various reasons, however recruitment for Sheriff positions to ensure law and order within Abresi will be created very soon. I will be working alongside the Lord High Treasurer to make an effective Law & Order force in Renatus." He smiles to the man, liking the idea.
