What do you think the server will be like?: I think it will be a large world to explore, full of other people to role-play with.

What’s your favorite rule / the rule you agree with the most?: My favorite rule is always staying in-character. That is the main reason I'm playing on the server after all.

What is role-playing?: Role-playing is the process of acting like another person in an environment suitable for the character.

 

What’s meta-gaming?: The use of information that your character won't necessarily know. And example would be using information of a dungeon map you found on a forum.

 

What’s power-gaming?: Role-playing with out facing consequences a character might face. An example would be that if your in a fight, your character punches the enemy without rolling to see if you actually hit.

Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family:

 

    Asteria Hutton and Sharoar Carter are the parents of Veghim Carter. Astaeria was a thin northern woman who had long blond hair and light blue eyes that could calm an angry bear. Sharoar, Veghim's father, was a large, strong man with short brown hair and a large brown beard that would shake when he laughed, which happened often. The two met when Sharoar was returning to his home town after a couple years of exploring. They met during the Festival of Ale. A few years later, they married and traveled down south past the Holy Oren Empire's borders and began a small farm, and after five years of blissful marriage, Astaeria Huttun and Sharoar Carter gave birth to Veghim Carter on their farm. It was a small farm, but it supplied enough for their family lived happily. On the farm, Veghim's mother taught him how to read and write, while his father taught him to hunt and chop wood. Veghim was usually alone, which made him shy and quiet, but the labor on the farm allowed him to grow strong. Life was calm and peaceful, but one day, their dreams, hopes and all their wealth was all turned over and they lost everything.

 

    When Veghim was twelve, his home was attacked by three men who claimed they were soldiers demanding a tax. The father knew that they were away form the kingdoms borders so no tax was forced from them. When the father denied, the men attacked the family. They looted the house and burned their crops. They kidnapped the family and began to lead them to their camp in the near by forest. Astaeria, in desperation, attempted to defend and escape with her family. But, when she tried to resist one of the men, he swung his sword at her, only to hit her with the blunt end and shock her. As the sword swung out, the blade made it made contact with Astaeria's body. When the blade hit, it slashed across her stomach, splashing blood across the earth. Her eyes widened with shock as her body fell to the ground limp. When the man saw what he had done, he dropped the blade and fled with his fellow men. Only then did Veghim realize what was happening. Veghim rushed forward and fell to his mothers side, feeling a burning sting begin to rise in his throat. She didn't stir. His fathers strong hand press down on his shoulder. When Veghim looked up into his fathers eyes, he saw his fathers dark, deep eyes misty with tears. “We must leave.” He said, and helped his son up and pulled him away from his mothers body.

 

    It had been four years since the turmoil of their lives began. They took what they could and left, they buried Asteria and burned down their house. Over time, Sharoar had lost his humor, and his usual happy self seemed to die away the night the family was attacked. Their father had taken them north, to the southern border of the Holy Oren Empire were he found work as a smith. Sharoar would work all day, but money seemed to never find its way into their pockets. When Veghim reached the age of 17, he began to work in his fathers forge and learn the skills of smiting. Yet, even with two men in a forge working together, their income was still low. Times were hard for the two, but they only got worse.

 

    When Veghim was 20, his father was old and getting ill. They had to sell their forge for enough money to keep them alive, but Veghim had to find work. He began to find odd jobs to keep his father alive, but it still wasn't enough on one of Veghims usual fruitfulness job hunts, he over heard some men speaking about adventuring and the fortunes it promises. Veghim listened to their conversation and learned about the adventure of new lands, the excitement of adventure and the glories of dungeons. Veghim flew home, with dreams of wealth and fame on his mind. When he got home and told his father of his new plan for wealth. But, when Veghim told his father of his plans, Sharoar quickly angered and told his son he should never dream of such pointless dreams. Veghim argued long and hard, and grudgingly, Sharoar finally agreed to his sons request. Before he went though, his father gave him his mothers necklace to remember the consequence of straying towards the path of evil, the sword used by the man that killed his mother so that he could get revenge and defeat the man who killed his mother with his own blade, and a handful of gold to buy food and clothing, for his journey would be long. And so, Veghim was off to the Cloud Temple for brief prayers of luck and fortune for his new journey.

 

What are they like (personality)?: Veghim is a silent person, but will happily help those who have helped him. He also will hold a grudge for as long as his mind can hold it, and belives in an eye for an eye.

 

What are their ambitions?: Veghim's ambitions are to become stronger, strengthen his relationship with other people, and also to become stronger strength wise and economically. He also wants to see the world, and he hopes becoming a bounty hunter will allow him to see the farthest reaches of , and help keep his father alive.

 

Do they have any special skills?: Veghim is skilled with axes and he has a bit of background with lumbering and smithing.

 

What are their weaknesses?: He is shy and quiet and will only speak when he sees neccisarry He also is afraid of spiders and will avoid fighting them when ever he can.

 

What do they look like?: Veghim has a beard and long hair down to his mid-neck that he keeps growing, both dark brown. He has brown eyes and he has a small scar running on his lip that is slightly hidden by his light skin.

 

Anything else you want to say about them?: Veghim is very curious, and will take and give whatever he can. He belives in doing what is right in his eyes. He wears a necklace that was his mothers and a symbol to remember his father while he is on his journey.
