History

*A brief summary of Jean's life so far*

Fox only has vague shards of memory of his mother, and none at all of his father. All Fox remembers of his mother being a kind, loving parent who loved him dearly. So how he came to be begging on the streets at the meek age of 7 he'll never know. 

 

Fox ain't his real name, you know. He never really knew his own name; he thinks he remembers his mother calling him Edward... or was it Jean? Anyway, Fox is the name he gave himself, for two reasons: The strange colour of his hair, which is a strange crimson red, and the fact he spent most of his life begging, scrounging for food and mina to survive.

 

Fox has spent around ten years of his life in Abresi, barely scraping by. He would wander until his feet became numb, and beg for food and mina until his mouth was so dry it felt like he could spit dust. He would get an odd job here and there if he was lucky, for a little extra money, but nothing to serious. It was all just casual work.

 

At the age of 17, Fox asked a certain man if he had any food or mina for him. Instead of taking pity on Fox and giving him what he was asked for, the man told Fox he could teach him to fend for himself instead of leeching of others. This man was talking about thievery, of course. He took Fox as a temporary apprentice, taking him on heist as a lookout for guards and such. In this time Fox was shown how to pick locks by watching his mentor do it himself, and then copying his lock picking techniques, as well as developing his own. He also learned how to sneak into restricted areas by going with his mentor on heists.

 

After a few months of this, Fox has changed from a timid beggar, to a confident and slightly warped vagabond. Though at this point he was still operating under the shadow of his mentor, and couldn’t go on heists without him. This all changed when he switched mentors to a new thief, a man by the name of Connor. His approach to thievery was much more violent compared to his former mentors, and Fox was exposed to much more dirty ways of thievery like mugging, and even straight up murder.

 

This warped and messed Fox’s mind up quite alot, and is now much more ruthless then before. He now takes on the alias of “Slade” when conducting villainous activity. Armed with the experience he has gained from his mentors, former and current, he feels he is ready to cause some real havoc on Anthos.

Eventually, Fox couldn't handle this life of crime anymore, it was eating away at his humanity. He left the life behind him, and tried to become a normal part of society again. 

 

He took up the new name of Jean Havok, and set off to live a normal life. Though, it would seem life had other plans for him... (Blegh, So much has happened to this character since that happened, and I can't be bothered to type it all up at the moment.)
