Now heeded is the long-awaited arrival of spring, in which we will celebrate the plentiful harvest granted by Saint Henrik and the blessings yet to come. All across Almaris are invited to attend this grand spectacle of spring, for it is a celebration to be relished by many. THE MARKET SQUARE Assembled goods - flower bouquets, items pertaining to the theme of a bountiful spring, as well as acquired harvests will be sold in the market square. An array of carnival games will also be hosted in accordance with the good spirit of spring. THE CEREMONIAL MAYPOLE DANCE To crown the upcoming season’s Spring Queen or King, a dance around the Maypole will be held in the square. Each participant will dance ‘til their feet give out, to symbolise the endurance one must maintain during Haense’s harsh winter months, and whoever remains standing is crowned the victor. It’s been quite some time since our last monthly Player Appreciation post has gone out, but it is something I wish to continue as it greatly perpetuates positivity and good feelings throughout our little community, which is something I really cherish about Haense. So, without further ado, here are our two players for the months of January and February! January 2023: Tadabug Hello Tada! I just wanted to start this off by thanking you from the bottom of my heart for the work you’ve put into Hyspia and Haense as a whole. Your activity alone has facilitated a lot of community growth and you are always so sweet and a joy to work with. Thank you for everything you’ve done for Haense, and I cannot wait to see what you do in the future! You are a light on this server. “Tada is probably one of the most wonderful players on LOTC. I have personally never known her to deny someone in need, or lend a hand for events. She's a real community leader, and someone people look to. Patient with the chaos, he is very appreciated!” - Tadabug “Seth might be a newer player to the server, however, he is one of the kindest, hardest-working players I have ever met. He takes the time to make sure everyone is included in whatever shenanigans that come up for the Weiss household and outside of it. He is always encouraging taking small breaks to protect oneself from burnout and is overall just a super friendly lad.” - Beth “Out of my almost 9 years of playing on LotC, never have I met someone like Seth. If you don't know him, Seth is someone who has an aura that makes even the strangest of strangers feel they have a place, which attracts positive people to interact in his community. He is someone who treats everyone the same, whether they are a pink tag, a veteran roleplayer, or someone with social anxiety like myself. He is genuinely interested in you, your character, and what you have to say. The community he has built in House Weiss of Haense is one of the only reasons I've stayed on LotC for this long, in fact. I am sure that I am not alone when I say that the community he has built is inspiring and uplifting; with reasons ranging much further than just roleplay. Seth has been a friend to me. I love this post!! This is very well-written :) you did a wonderful job, Delta These events, at least to my understanding, are meant to generate passive, lighthearted roleplay on the server as opposed to those intense storylines that spur a lot of character development. I don't think it's fair to dub it as 'activity-grinding' when the sole purpose is to congregate community members for a chill, fun experience. It may not be your cup of tea, but it sure is for a lot of people on this server, and that's perfectly okay!

Furthermore, Her Excellency also intends to memorialize the former Countess-Consort, her mother-in-law Esmée Gabrielle Kortrevich, in hosting the event that she once had many years prior. The event itself bears roots based in Auvergne culture, as per the former Consort’s heritage, though Lady Viorica does intend to honor her own heritage via the inclusion of Woldskyev traditions during this very celebration. Irregardless of any attendee’s status, this gathering is meant to formulate lifelong bonds between the peoples of Hanseti-Ruska by means of such a celebration as this, which honors the very meaning of Juliyafest itself - companionship. Any and all are welcome to attend, so long as they bear in mind the meaning of this sacred holiday. The First Dance Whilst the first dance ensues, guests are encouraged to find those donning similarly coloured masks. I look forward to working with her and utilising her knowledge to the fullest extent, so that the culture of the Morrivi Court may thrive.
