They study the stars; a traditional art of the Haeseni, and they are expected to spread the news garnered from the stars to the Court by publishing regular Horoscopes for the Haeseni citizenry. The Court Astronomer is also often employed by members of the Royal Family to counsel them personally on their destiny as foretold by the night skies. VE SOVAGIKZ I VE KOENAS The Queen's Advisors are wise individuals chosen for their experience and worldly wisdom. While holding no executive power among the Courts, the Advisors provide guidance, assistance, and perspective to the Queen as required. They are also expected to attend meetings of the Queen's Council to offer their highlyvalued insight, so that the Queen is able to receive varying perspectives on different issues that may arise. KHAZYA Khazya are the attendants and assistants of a particular Hauchkhazya. They aid their Hauchkhazya in their publications, the running of their events, and they give counsel and ideas as requested. Khazya that excel may be chosen by the Queen and elevated to a Hauchkhazya position following a retirement, or they may even be chosen as a Queen's Advisor, Handmaiden, or a member of her Inner Council. LAUZYA The Lauzya are the event coordinators and collaborators of the Esrova Courts. While not necessarily assigned to a particular Office, they are often members of the nobility with a propensity towards running events on their House's behalf. Groups of Lauzyas often will often collaborate on larger public projects and social events such as festivals. Moreover, they will frequently assist the Court Chamberlain in his or her duties, ensuring both the quality and quantity of Courtly events remain consistent. ROYAL SCRIBES The Royal Scribes, under the purview of the Court Secretary, are individuals at liberty to assist high-ranking members of the Courts and Royal Family with any literary projects that they may have ongoing. Scribes must be highly literate individuals and their duty is to maintain the eloquent voice of the Courts. THE SERVANTRY The Servantry of the Esrova Palace are the men and women who maintain its inner walls and the table at which the Royal Family and their guests dine. Composed of butlers, maids, cooks, bakers, handmaidens, governors, and governesses, the Servantry are a large group of working individuals. Those of the culinary arts serve the Mistress of the Pantry while the remainder answer to the Palace Custodian. Butlers and maids specialize in the performance of mundane yet vital tasks such as the catering of Courtly events and the general upkeep of the Esrova Prikaz. Additionally, the cooks and bakers of the Esrova Kitchens serve the Mistress of the Pantry by creating the culinary concoctions produced by her and her assistants. Lastly, the governors and governesses of the Esrova Palace are responsible for managing the education of the Royal and Noble children of the Kingdom. They serve the Palace Custodian and often inhabit the Palace so as to be a short distance from their young charges. Different tutors specialize in the instruction of various subjects such as etiquette, social graces, reading, writing, music, strategy, and a large host of other subjects. WARDS Wards are children under the age of majority who have taken apprenticeship under the guise of a member of the Esrova Court. Historically, wardships have served to provide experience and insight into the operations of the Courts, thus enriching the lives of the Haeseni youth. Wards are often assigned tasks by their mentor for them to complete and prove their abilities based on the skills they have attained. Wards that excel may be chosen by the Queen to serve her or her daughters personally as a Handmaiden, or they may be deemed fit to inherit another higher position within the Courts. HANDMAIDENS The Queen's Handmaidens are honourable ladies, often the most intelligent, and serenely polite of the Haeseni flock. They are selected from among the Queen's most trusted friends and her most elite Wards to care for her in a more personal capacity and to shield her from social indignity and persecution. The Queen may also choose trusted individuals from her social circles to serve the Princesses of the Royal Family. Peers and Consorts of the realm may also take a number of handmaidens, as outlined and specified by the Handmaidens’ Guideline. Handmaidens are intended to serve, along with their Royal or Noble charges, as true examples of how a respectable lady in society should look and act. Handmaidens represent the lady that they serve, and thus the position of Handmaiden is highly sought after and coveted. 9. The Royal Court of HRM, Amaya Milena of Venzia FOR THE HEARTH OF THE HOMELAND. Issued by the QUEEN OF HAENSE On this 8th day of Vzmey ag Hyff of 483 E.S. VA BIRODEO HERZENAV AG EDLERVIK, In the frigid North, where the biting winds whip across plains and snow blankets the rugged mountains, there exists a resolute spirit that burns bright and fierce within the hearts of the Haeseni people. Ve Esrova Kort, (Common: The Ember Court), established by the Queen-consort Amaya of Venzia, shall serve as the hearth in which this fiery spirit resides. It is here that the essence of the people will be reflected, wherein this Courtly setting shall resonate with the passion and unrelenting resolve that define the Haeseni character. Just as a hearth provides solace and warmth, so too should the Esrova Court be a sanctuary that nurtures the spirits of its occupants, invigorating them with a sense of purpose and unity alike. Since Amaya of Venzia has assumed the mantle of Queen-Consort, she has been granted the capability to guide the Royal Courts into a new age heralding prosperity, cultural enrichment, and the reinstatement of northern tradition. It is by her hand that the Esrova Kort is finally instituted to kindle the hearth that is the Haeseni spirit and to ensure that it continues to burn bright forevermore. The tenets proposed by the Queen’s Grand Lord will serve as the foundation on which the newly founded Esrova Court is built, encompassing tradition, strength, and warmth alike. The duty of each courtier and advisor, in turn, will be reevaluated and reformed to conform to these core values. Additionally, the structure of the Court itself will adhere to these tenets, wherein a hierarchy of councilors and courtiers will be instated for the sake of organization and transparency between the Queen and the members of her Court. ON THE QUEEN’S ADVISORS The Queen’s Council of the esteemed Esrova Court will now comprise two definitive sects: the Advisory Council and the Inner Council, each bearing its own unique responsibilities and members of high standing. The Advisory Council consists of the Masters and Mistresses of their respective posts (Naumariav: Hauchkhazya) and the Khazyas, individuals of notable skill appointed to support the endeavors of an Office held by a Hauchkhazya. Titled Khazyas who serve on the Queen’s Advisory Council will hold the position of Court Alchemist, Court Astrologer, or Curator of the Crown Jewels and shall reside beneath the oversight of the Office pertaining to their skill set whilst receiving the liberty of structuring their own publications and proceedings: ❖ The Court Alchemist shall take residence in the Office of the Abstract. ❖ The Court Astrologer shall take residence in the Office of the Abstract. ❖ The Curator of the Crown Jewels shall take residence in the Office of the Wardrobe. The Advisory Council will also host the Queen’s handpicked advisors. The privilege to sit on Her Majesty’s Advisory Council may be bestowed unto any individual within the Courts who have proven themselves to be dedicated to the Court’s core tenets, regardless of the courtier’s station or birth. These individuals will directly advise the Queen and aid her in day-to-day Courtly affairs. Furthermore, the Queen’s Inner Council; ❖ Shall be composed of the Queen, her Grand Lord, Custodian, Chamberlain, and Secretary. Their proximity to the Queen and the Kingdom’s core means these most trusted officials shall be loyal solely to the Crown, and hold positions solely in Haense. ❖ The Post of Mistress of Whispers shall no longer sit upon the Advisory nor Inner Council, nor as any recognized post in the Esrova Prikaz. Queen Isabel, during her own tenure, established the post with the best intent, and while the Mistresses have no doubt served the Court diligently in the eras since, the position no longer serves a purpose in the Dual Kingdoms save as a reminder of a different time. ON THE QUEEN’S COURTIERS The Queen’s Courtiers shall include those beneath the Custodian and the Chamberlain; the Hauchkhazyas; the Khazyas; and the Lauzyas, the courtiers who assist with all manners of event hosting within the Prikaz. Each Hauchkhazya of an Office is entitled to determine its structure and the expectations of the Khazyas who answer to them. The Office of the Abstract shall further have oversight of two branches; one, led by the Court Alchemist, the other, that of the Court Astrologer; those who may publish works and take students at their will. The Office of the Wardrobe, in addition, will oversee its branch led by the Curator of the Crown Jewels, granted the same aforementioned privileges that their fellow titled Khazyas are. It is the prime objective of these Offices to enrich the education of the Haeseni people; hence, it is consolidated thus. The untitled Khazyas shall not sit upon the Advisory Council; this includes the Courtiers, Attendants, Scholars, and Assistants to each office, and the Royal Scribes. The former answer to their respective Hauchkhazyas; the latter, to the Queen’s Secretary. ON THE SERVANTRY The Palace Custodian sits on the Queen’s Inner Council at the behest of the Queen and her Grand Lord. Furthermore, the Custodian shall oversee the purview of the Servantry and each respective courtier that occupies this branch of the Court. The Servantry shall consist of; ❖ Court Governors and Governesses, who are tasked with the education of the noble and royal children that reside in the Esrova Court. ❖ Butlers and Maids, who are entrusted with the upkeep of the Prikaz and the general maintenance of the Royal Residences. Butlers and Maids may also tend to the Royal Gardens or cater to events upon the Esrova Council’s request. ❖ Couriers, who are tasked with the delivery of letters and various Courtly missives at the decree of the Queen, her Councilors, or her Scribes. ❖ The Mistress or Master of the Pantry - who oversees the chefs and bakers of the Esrova Court and serves beneath the Custodian. The Mistress or Master of the Pantry bears the titleage of Hauchkhazya and is thus granted the same privileges as their counterparts. He or she will absorb the duties of the former Court Baker. ❖ Handmaidens, who are appointed at the behest of the Consort, the Royals, or the Peers of the Realm, to act as personal attendants and companions to whomever they serve. ON THE WARDS The Wards of each post shall be kept in the books of records by name; the age upon which they began their wardship; and with the signed consent of their legal custodian. The Wards of the Queen shall be of noble birth, save by written exception; the Wards of the Grand Lord and those under his purview may be of any birth. The Wardship may be marked as complete upon the following: ❖ the Ward’s eighteenth year of age, and ❖ the recorded completion of three trials, as delivered and supervised by the position under whom they have Warded, or ❖ the publication of a summary of all they have learned over the course of their wardship upon their eighteenth nameday. The exception to this shall be the Wards to the Office of the Abstract, which due to the taxing and sensitive nature of its studies, shall only accept Wards above the Age of Majority to study directly beneath the Master of the Abstract and its related posts. The future of the Esrova Court is one filled with hope, revitalization, and a renewed sense of purpose. It is the Queen’s hope that her commitment to inclusivity and fair governance will facilitate warmth and kindness in the Royal Court, so that it may stand as a beacon of cultural exchange, creativity, and social harmony in accordance with the Court’s core tenets. Gone are the days of exclusivity and elitism, replaced by a socially accessible court that values the diversity, talents, and contributions of all its courtiers. VA BIRODEO HERZENAV AG EDLERVIK, Guided by a vision of a prosperous and compassionate realm, the Queen of Haense has embarked on the endeavour of constructing a healthcare institution that would provide exceptional care and healing to the beloved citizens of Hanseti-Ruska. With the aid of the Deputy Surgeon General, Lord Doctor Haus Weiss-Vuiller, the clinic has been furnished with a multitude of assets such as an alchemical lab, a number of assessment rooms, classrooms, and a greenhouse. Most notably, the craftsmanship of the Queen’s companions, Bogdana Barrow and Timofei Petrovich has come to fruition: In lieu of the Queen’s oversight, the duo produced numerous blueprints for the Queen’s perusal, which, in turn, have formed the foundation of the Hospital of St. Amyas. The world spun, as the Queen turned her bleary gaze towards the skies above. She uttered a prayer. Meanwhile, Viorica wept for a friend long lost, ruminating on words never spoken.
  15. Amaya Milena strides down the bustling hallways of the Prikaz, making preparations for the coronation.

  17. Amaya Milena, The Grand Princess of Kusoraev, stormed into the Prikaz with haste ‘til her quickened footfalls came to a sudden halt. The somber lull of momentary silence lingered in the air, thickening it with tension as she pressed herself against a nearby pillar whilst hoarse breaths rattled her chest. “The King has departed for his final voyage! Long live the King!” There, she stood - frozen as hushed murmurs pervaded what seemed to be every crevice and corner of the Prikaz, yet she could not will herself to move or utter a single sound. The Crown upon her head suddenly felt much heavier, now; a crushing weight, despite the years she spent priming herself for it. There was no time for the new Queen to be afraid; she was not afforded such a luxury. And so, Amaya tucked her trembling hands behind her back, soon pulled from her bleak daze by the quiet coaxing of a servant. “Your Majesty, the King is gone. You must make preparations.”
  18. Amaya was greatly pleased that the Royal House gained another member today!
