         Transfiguration

Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

This magic, unlike the other Voidal Magics, requires a whopping two slots to learn. It is primarily a utility magic that allows for the user to use the void and existing mana to manipulate objects in the material realm - granted it follows the law of equivalent exchange. There are four main sections to this magic: Voidal Feeling, Transmutation, Abjuration, and Enchanting.

Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

Voidal Feeling - By channeling their mana into an item, mages can draw information from inorganic or dead organic material. The spell can reveal its durability, freezing point, melting point, toxicity, volatility, among other things - and it can only be used on objects that are two cubic meters or smaller within a range of five meters. The scale of the emote will depend on the size or the complexity of the object being dealt with.

Transmutation - Using their knowledge of whatever object they are working with, mages can either temporarily or permanently change the properties of said object, a few examples being colour, shape, and temperature. Fusion and Fission are also two aspects of Transmutation, Fusion allowing for the fusion of two objects they have accustomed themselves to, and Fission doing the exact opposite - splitting the combined material.

Abjuration - With the act of Abjuration, mages summon protective barriers that obliterate incoming spells on impact. They can also fashion a projectile to intercept enemy spells, breaking them apart and returning them to the void. 

Enchanting - The imbuing of an object with magical properties, granted they possess knowledge of said spell or collaborate with someone who does. This art branches further into Lesser, Potent, and Grand Enchantments - the former generally non-combative and not requiring ST signing, whilst both Potent and Grand Enchantments require an ST to sign them. 

Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

[!] The magus in question was sat in her chambers - more specifically affront her vanity with her back facing the mirror, the Wynasul much too preoccupied with watching her son struggle to put on his rainboot’s than fixing her hair. But something was off. Way off. Normally she’d find humour in the situation… but not when his boots were green and not yellow. Where did he get them from? She knew not. Nor did she want to know - all she knew was that a change needed to be made… and it would not be her distaste for the colour green that did the changing. As such, the optics of Auro’ra gradually drained in colour - her icy blue hues now adorned in a milky white luminosity as she gestured for her son to bring her the accursed rain boots. [ 1/3 ]

[!] “Green is not a creative colour.” The ‘aheral chided as a steady stream of mana drifted down her arms - encapsulating the boots in a sphere-esque shape of sorts. “You’d do well to remember that, little goose.” [ 2/3 ]

[!] And just like that, when the mana dissipated, a beautiful pair of yellow rain boots were revealed! Gone was the distasteful green, leaving the Wynasul to bask in the astonished gaze and enthusiastic questioning of her son. It really took little to impress children these days. [ 3/3 ]

Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

[ Voidal Feeling ]

[!] “Voidal feeling,” Drawled the Wynasul. She and her student were sat a ways away from civilization - a quaint little field actually, if you cared. A stick of silver, about the perfect size to fit comfortably in your palm, was set between the two of them. “the most important spell you’ll come to learn during our time learning this magic. In order to manipulate an object you have to come to understand it first. The point at which it boils or freezes, its natural hue, density, and whatnot.” - “It’s simpler than I make it sound, really. Cast your connection.”

[!] The student wasted no time in following the directions of his mentor - an unstable flow of mana emanating from her shoulders as she tethered herself to the void. Only then did she return her focus to her mentor, awaiting further instruction. [ 1/3 ]

[!] By then, the frail magus would have the aforementioned stick of silver within her grasp - offering it to her student with an expectant gaze. “Take the silver into your hands and run your mana through it - probe and interrogate it to reveal information that is hidden from the naked eye.”

[!] A grunt escaped the lips of the student as she carefully retrieved the element from the clutches of the Wynasul, intaking a deep breath of air as she willed his mana to change courses - directing it directly to the bar of silver. The bar was soon encased within the aura of the young lass entirely, leaving no patch of the element un-aura-fied. [ 2/3 ] 

[!] The mana soon receded - returning to the void at whence it came as the Wynasul’s mentee gaped at the newly found knowledge flowing into her massive noggin. [ 3/3 ]

[!] “So?” The ‘aheral queried, resting her elbow against her knee before propping her chain against the palm of her hand. “Tell me everything.”

Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?

It all depends on severity to be completely honest.

Usually an explanation as to why what they did was wrong and how they can go about avoiding it in the future is sufficient, or even linking them the lore and/or the guide to this particular magic as an added sort of reference for them to look back on. But in the scenario where such keeps transpiring and their motives seem malicious, I’d get in touch with a member of the ST and fill’em in on what’s going on. Worst case scenario, I’ll drop the student - but I don’t think it’ll ever come to that.

GRAND FEAST OF UNITY
 

In recognition and celebration of the recently created alliance between The Principality of Talar’nor and The Kingdom of Norland, we formally invite the noble peers of King Balon Eiriksson Ruric and their esteemed guests to a feast in the capital of Talar’nor. The purpose - as with many other commences such as this, will be displays of festivity, fraternity, and the devotion owed between us and our allies Kingdom. After all, strengthening the relations of two realms comes not from within the chambers of sovereigns, who communicate solely by letter - but rather the devotion of their peoples in alike settings, where they strive together to become one and the same. Following this banquet, the two nations will host further celebrations every five years in devotion to the agreement made within their alliance pact. 

In addition to a friendly get-together and exchange of culture and ideals, the joining parties may see it fit to discuss ongoing affairs within their realms or the world, perhaps allowing for a chance to align their sights on politics.

Participants will be able to choose from a wide variety of the horned, furry creatures to play and bond with throughout the racing competition and festival altogether!

Select your chosen goat to place within a lane against 3 others in a suspenseful race against the clock! Win upwards of fifty mina if you're lucky enough to have your goat reach the finish before others and be the last one standing in the tournament bracket of races.

Talar’nor is inviting the musicians, whether proficient or in the midst of learning, and the music enthusiasts of Aevos to join the Talarian citizens in a celebration for such a phenomenal art - a festival of music.

SNOW’S MAIDEN

ENLISTMENT

To begin, those seeking to perform in the Battle of the Bands must sign themselves with an alias of their choice and the instrument(s) that they intend to use - furthermore, an entrance fee of 15 minas must also be paid to provide for a prize pool. All equipment, musical or not, brought with participants is of their own responsibility and will not be cared for by Festival administrators.

BATTLE OF THE BANDS

Musicians and/or their groups will perform one by one in front of a crowd and a panel of judges, who will then decide at the conclusion of all showcases who gets to play music for the ball in front of the Talarian Royalty and their esteemed guests the following elven-day.

MALIN’S WELCOME

A MUSICIANS GAMBOL

Esteemed guests will be invited to the Talarian Palace for a ball on the final day of the festival where the palace staff will provide fine treats and drinks for those in attendance. The musician(s) to have won the ‘Battle of the Bands’ will be expected to perform in front of the populace during this time - and only then will be given the money accumulated in the prize pool.

COMPETITION OF RHYTHMIC GYRATE

To end our final night of festivities, and thus the festival in its entirety, those in attendance will be given the chance to show off their dance moves in a dance competition! The participant to rise above the rest in terms of dazzling footwork will be awarded an enchanted ring!

DECORATED DISGUISE

For any ball event to create an atmosphere of relish among its participants, it must be a night of intrigue and fun. Hence the use of a masquerade, its theme centered around the beautiful colours of a sunset. Red, Orange, Pink, and all those other inks in correlation with the idea are all permitted. It is highly encouraged to go as far and beyond and creative as one can be with your outfit as to better disguise yourself when it comes to the main event game listed below. 

HALF-LIGHT PROMENADE

To set the gathering in motion Palace serventry will be promptly entering the ballroom with trays of fine treats and specialty drinks cultivated by the Court Sommelier; Auro’ra Wynasul. Beloved guests and citizens alike will be encouraged to find partners and make their way to the dance floor. With plenty of music, food and top-class beverages, it is sure to be a night of fun and delectation!

EVENTIDE MYSTERY

During the duration of the masquerade the guests will be given the task of identifying as many of the masked individuals within Talar’nor as they possibly can - all without giving away their name or identity. The participant to correctly identify the majority of the guests invited will be awarded an item of comical nature for their efforts, as well as the grand title of: ‘Sherhonk Geese, the Greatest Ducktective’
