  1. i agree with this completely, as someone who enjoys to use a bow in crp but doesnt stay and a 40 block distance it always feels as though my arrows are much less useful than just having someone with a sword, not to mention that arrows arent that powerful if the target is armoured. I understand why some people think 3 is fine but i urge you to try crp as a archer for a week and see if you change your mind. +1 good take
  2. Yes it is. However LOTC is a RP server , not a chatroom. Im simply suggesting that people are accurately rping. All this offense people are taking is because nowadays it is known by all to be wrong. If this were a chatroom it would be wrong but its accurate RP. Thats all im suggesting , but my words fall on deaf ears. I think its funny that everyone assumes that the people saying this have a negative agenda. Whats said in RP is RP. Its unfair to assume they are talking to you and not only the persona. Some people want to RP... on a RP server, but people will always hate that their RP is too realistic.
  3. Well in a way this is very offensive. As someone who was apart of this situation and having a great time doing some realistic RP for you to call me racist is very rude. And so i reply with a question , if you were walking down the street and you saw a green person would you find it wrong to call them something with resembles their colour? For example grass? If you said to them hello grass people would that be cause for an uproar that we are experiencing? The truth of the matter is that our characters had good RP reasons for our comments and people are blinded by racism in our world and arent thinking about rp.
  4. I mean , as a part of one of the sides I definitely don't feel as though I was in the wrong. Its RP based in a medieval time where that has been normal over the years. People aren't getting away with anything because it is RP. The words are directed towards the persona. If that offends you it is your problem as in a way they aren't even talking to you, they are talking to your persona.
  5. this is crazy. First off all people shouldn't be getting offended irl due to things that happen to their persona in RP. The simplest way to put this situation is people are getting offended at realistic medieval style rp that was a completely normal reaction from both personas , one being me. As for the people saying that this is wrong due to it being a real racist insult , not only are they not common from my personal experience. People are just getting all high and mighty and trying to be moral and correct whilst forgetting to rp properly and realistically. If these terms are banned then so should every insult on LOTC that is directed towards anything besides a persons personality traits as that cant be controlled. May as well since it seems people care more about being nice and kind that having accurate and realistic RP. Anyone who disagrees can ask me to explain my points of why it was good rp.

You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Glen stood at the door of the tent, with a shocked look on his face. "How is it that you know me and have been waiting upon my arrival?" He said with his hand on his scabbard as he reluctently sits down. "Well lets see, it all happened on the day after i turned 16. The high elves entered our town, searching rigorously for something, it must have been important. That's when they pulled my brother, Zachery out of our home and dragged him into a cage where they then set off for the next town." "That day i left the town, in order to train and search for my brother, or at least some answers." Glen began to grip tightly onto his hilt. "I finally found the high elves preaching their superiority to other elves and interrogated one, but to no avail." "But they found the one i interrogated, and now they are after my shadow." "And that has brought me to you" At this point Glen stood up, hand pulling his sword out of its home. "Now i ask you again, who are you and how do you know me?"
