Hello. You may have heard from me already. You may have never heard of me before.
I am the head doktor of Reinmar. I have been the head doktor of Reinmar for many years. I have been Reinmaren for many years. I am Reinmaren before anything else, that is how it has always been. I have served there for longer than most of you reading this have breathed. I am also an elf.
I have been a medic for seventy years. I've served in most of the Empires clinics on Aevos, though I haven't gotten the chance since we moved. I am a citizen of the Empire. Before Grense got rebuilt on Aevos, its clinic lead was an elf. As was Alba's. As was, and still is, Reinmar's. Would we be slaughtered as thanks for our service?
I am Canonist. I am baptized. I was baptized by Bishop Josefina over thirty years ago.
Would Cardinal-Emeritus Nerium be slaughtered? James Vursur? For their heritage above their holy standing?
I took an attack meant for the previous Emperor Tiberias, from the Mountain itself, before it could reach him. Burning hot chains that nearly burnt through me and have scarred me since. I had saved lives after every battle with the Mountain. I never demanded compensation. I asked for donations, but that was so that I could keep my work going without being bankrupt off of supplies.
Now, I am no longer safe in my own home, much less the Empire as a whole. I can no longer return to my own home. Because Reinmar is my home, it has been my home, and I would hope that it could always be my home.
Senseless slaughter has never permanently solved any problems. It has only caused more.
This is injustice. This needs to end. This is senseless, with no achievable goal. It is murder. It is not something the previous Emperor would have stood for.
Please, I beg anyone who can do anything about this, do something. Speak up if it is safe. This is not a just order. Demanding for innocent lives, four of them, alone was too much. Now it's become mass murder, based on the length of someone's ears. Is that not ridiculous?
They demanded four innocent elves, that's how it started. That's their specific word. Innocent. I got lucky. I fear for those who didn't.
They would kill me for innocence, so there is no point in silence.
