So, was taking some time to look at some of niccolo Machiavelli's writings, and realized something. Everything he wrote before "The Prince" seems to be at odds with his most famous writing. I dare say, I think "The Prince" may actually be a satire.

I thought it was when I read it. Though some of it made sense; despite how cold and crude it came off as. It seamed written from a "humanity at its worst" or a pessimistic perception of humanity. If you were a glass half empty kind of guy with a sense of narsisim then it would probably be seen as a non satire. But compared to his previous writings: a satire would be the obvious interpretation.
