  1. we will most likely permit the Golden Harvest to manage Alrasian land if need be; we will not work on it for long.
  2. It's moved to 6 pm est as aforementioned by Pok. Not sure if the Subudai are getting involved as Gaius said he is busy.
  3. ( Cannot come if 7. Keep it 6? Please? :P )
  4. *Gorgul triumphantly cleans his blade from the fallen Codrick. With deed in hand, he begins to change the colors of the tent. He proclaims loudly to his fellow orcs* Da shop is ourz! All ourz! Dah conquezt waz komplete. *He puts up a sign on the stall, in common* The Orcs now own this stall. It will be under our trade control. Enjoy our wares.
  5. ( shadowmage asked me to put these here (the revised terms for todays battle) Terms: Orcish Warhorde + Allies versus D'hara Company No enchanted items or potions (No Power I Bow) If D'Hara Company follows these terms and puts so on their shop, then the shop can be spared and while Orcs would control it, D'Hara will be spared and has the possibility of still getting income from the shop. - Orcs get to own all shops in the stall. Money will go to them, and the D'hara will get a cut if they supply the orcs with wares. Example is the D'Hara can get an iron-shop, but an Orc will physically OOC own it, and then the Orc will send half of all minas generated to a chosen D'Hara member. - Control all income going in to the shop - Get literal owner perms to the region - Control all pricing and regulation of D'hara goods )
  6. *As Gorgul makes his fishing rounds he sees the sign by the stall. He scratches his chin, and grunts solemnly. He fishes for a moment, and hauls in a squid, killing it for its ink-sack. Dipping a dwarven tooth in the ink, he scrawls out a letter, stamping it right by the notice.* We may exchange letters over meeting in person, stall-owner. But unless you make an offer of grandiose, we are not obliged to accept. The stall threatens our economic prosperity and drives business far-off. We will not suffice with a simple price boost on your wares, so our wares may be balanced out. At the least, we would need to have our shops taking the majority of your stall, and the shops you own forced a cut to give to the Orcs, as tribute. ( My orc char is Havenok, my human is TheCrackerJack. Send me a tell on either though, I can be flexible and try to switch. I am quite busy this weekend so don't expect me to be IG much )
  7. [ Please do not speak if you were not present for the battles. You missed 2 official conquests and a half dozen raids. Both of the conquests had Bahr clan Orcs, and 1 conquest and almost half the raids had Teutons (not solely dwarves). That is why IC we brought Subudai for this battle....though they really were not much help. ICly it's about proving honor in battle for two warrior races of honor. ICly, those other points do matter since no honor is brought from that. ]
  8. Total War has begun for quite some time. Read my RP post. You guys voided honor with all four of below scenarios.
  9. ( I will just write a new warclaim for you so it makes sense... I explained it to you quite a many times on TS but if need be i guess I will go again. )
  10. *Gorgul grunts with an anger. Disappointed with all the honor lost with the dwarves in their mulitiude of actions, he barks them out to his peers, and stamps up a letter with similar message upon Mt. Ire* The dwarves have gone too far. The list of dishonorable offenses are as follows 1) Inducting and permitting the rogue Bahr clan and Teutonic Order (Humans + Dwarves) into combat with them. They invoked non-dwarves and outsider-factions to battle; for this, they are dishonored. 2) Capturing our foodgoth Jutra, and attempting to use her as a hostage in leverage to persuade us to betray our sovereign allies, Oren. For this, they are dishonored. 3) Orcish reports indicate they harbor Enismorian refugees; bringing further sways and ties into our conflict; For this, they are dishonored. 4) Orcs saved Kal'Alras from an undead onslaught in the name of valor and honor. In return, we were treated with slurs and jeers by their dwarven overlords. They challenged us to battle, but when we assumed it, they all scurried like rats to their keep, shouting insults at us and refusing to fight with honor. For this, they are dishonored. The dishonor dwarves have brought upon themselves fills us with shame. We spare no honor for the dwarves; their offenses are far too great. Until they restore honor, they will be treated as cattle on the field of war; for they have honor as such. Assume such total war, and bring vengeance against them.
  11. ( RP reasoning is further explained in other RP posts. I don't think it has to be crammed on one post, as long as it is in the thread, especially since VERY recent events changed some of the reasoning. It's not even about food. The Orcs wish to monitor ALL prices in the areas near Cloud Temple to secure their current economic success. By opening rival compietion they will use force. Either you can contact Gorgul in RP and get him to propose a trade deal allowing the company to work with the Orcs, or we will come and fight for it. Propose a time that works for both Australians and Americans/Europeans. Something like 8 am for Australians, 6 pm for Americans, 12 am for Europeans works? I also ask war claim to be pushed to Tuesday because I am out of town and it would be hard for me to get on .)
  12. ( Who is the new owner? It doesn't really change the decision of the war-claim unless it is someone we know )
  13. Despite the words that the peaceful trader muttered, Gorgul was still angered. Not only was this man an extreme compietion, but he still had the insolence to act in such way. Gorgul approaches the trader and mutters "Latz iz zteelin mi buiznezz, agh zelling bad produckt. Eidder mi agh latz wurk togedder, latz giving mi ability to buy agh sell dere, owning dah zhopz, zu latz wurk under mi, or latz pay dah price. Latz myde dah miztake agh latz force me to compete wid latz fer pricing. Fer da War Uzg, mi muzt conquest latz shop" ( Basically, you can work under me in RP, or I will seize the tent, because I was given instruction to control all food pricing near the Cloud Temple to avoid compietion against the Orc trade camp. So yea, the warclaim still has impact. )
  14. Gorgul growls to himself. He also saw the fishing tent as a safety hazard and generally an unfit shop for fishing to be advocated. But by no means would he let his rival fisherman, the wise Bolin, to take what he thought was his. With a sword in hand and buckler, he sought out to further fight for this tent, to claim it for the War Nation, and preserve his own fishing prices. He was instructed by a Targoth to insure the prices of regions near Cloud Temple to remain at roughly the same price, and by letting a rival fisherman assume a tent, the price of goods in the War Nation would plummet. Gorgul had to get involved. ( I want to join in this. )
  15. ( While OOCly, and even Icly my char has arranged battles and done that kind of stuff, ICly he is far too young and inexperienced to be a Rex, and also OOCly I want to get more orc RP and accomplish more before assuming any heavy titles. The Rex needs some OOC establishment though, as otherwise it can be difficult commanding and leading during stressful times when IC actions create OOC reactions. While we try to separate the two, it can be difficult for many people and they bled together at times. )
  16. Just going to leave this here but as of recently, ICly I have not seen much honor coming from dwarves. It's been mainly about hoarding, forging one's own lands, pissing and insulting other races that makes no sense, being war-mongerering, and breaking "honor" through actions like bringing factions and mercenaries into battles which were designed to stick to two races. They've been acting much more "greedy", and while this is definitely a dwarven trait, it needs to be combined with honor to flesh out the race. It's hard to combine these two traits though, and honestly on some level it isn't even needed. It's two traits which are very hard to combine, thus its up to the dwarves as a race to figure which combination would work well. And when promises and honor don't apply to other races, well, then the race doesn't become much more honorable, because that's where REAL honor surfaces, holding resolves and pacts with foreigners and strangers. But promises that solely apply to dwarves is a brand of honor which blends well with greed.
  17. ( Option 3 is basically asking for the race to exterminate itself. Option 1 is the more gypsy-ish route, and Option 2 is just a revised empire. I would lean till 1, get some notable Kha into high positions across the world (first Kha' to be knighted?), then form a nation once the race has the power and wealth to do so. The Kha, being religious zealots, could even pin their misfortune on their actions, and think Meztili was permitting the Orcs to do conquest because their race was acting too haughty and out of order, thus desiring the race to become more moderate. In this way, 1 and 2 can make sense )
  18. ( just feign a klomp or open the title. For RP sake. I don't like how we've been arranging a lot of things OOC, so something IC would be good )
  19. ( Probably for the best because I personally had switched characters. Best of luck in other RP things )
  20. nooooooooo divinus you fool!

      John Ivory

What did he do now, that absolute madman!?

  21. Keeping things in hotbars can be problematic, especially if a character is seeking an exact object. If a player A steals another player B's diary, A can just stuff it in his inventory hotbar and accept death, to get away from Player B. This can be done for diamonds and gold, and makes it frustrating as certain items are totally unobtainable.
  22. I love the ruins, I wish the world had this level of detail. Much thanks to those who worked on it! I hope it is at least somewhat succesful, I am having fun RPing with it currently.
  23. ( http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/53928-plight-of-the-forest-dwarf/page__p__414815__fromsearch__1#entry414815 I wrote this a ways back, some of it is accurate some of it is not. Perhaps it can be of some use of redesigning the sub-race. This looks super interesting and engaging, I hope it turns out well. )
  24. ( How it works in RP is that areas under Orc/Totem control create further feelings of hostility through shaman magics along with infecting the nearby lands with locust and plagues. It's much like the calming effect of the Cloud Temple, only reversed, so any dwarf or orc within the vicinity of these regions when the totem is in effect will be permitted to approach another of the race, and be able to say a death threat, the other replies with a response, and PvP is initiated. )
