Intercession magic's lore submission is now over a month old. Is there a reason it's being stonewalled?
-
Benbo answered this question a short while ago. The lore team's been kind of dysfunctional during the holidays, but now they're getting back to it. It's not so much stonewalling, more disorganised staff. Depending on how long it takes for all the LMs to give their opinions on the lore itself, it may be a while. I trust in Benbo, though. He seems sincere.

Always nice to see people still grasping at straws. Makes me wonder how pathetic their life must be. (Vague Passive aggressive post is Vague and passive aggressive)

Question for MAT or those equally informed; can a teacher of one evocation teach all evocations? I could have sworn that was a thing at some point.
-
On the contrary, Bob Crowman! All evocations function identically, with the exception of the element being summoned. If you're a fire-evoker and you learned how to shoot flamey pew-pews by studying and understanding fire, then surely you could assume that a student doing the same for electrical evocation would have to study electricity. The process of shooting the pew-pews are the same, with only minor deviations in casting time, and the element itself. I think it makes sense!

How do you apply for alt-accounts these days? What

I'm p sure I've already made a status like this some time before, but now since my welcome week is coming up, I gotta know -- tips for freshman year, anyone?

Fordo, my man. Do what Freya said. I nearly messed up my first year goofing about, then the next year I did similar to Freya and got sweet distinctions. Start work when you get it, always do multiple drafts for written stuff, talk to your lecturers and/or tutors/mates when you can (so long as they know what they're talking about) and then review everything you went over each and every day. If something look unfamiliar to you, you have problems. Starting and completing **** early is the best way to not contemplate suicide later. People studying at the wee-hours tend to be obsessive students or fuckups. More often the latter in my experience.
Seek out:
-Mates who know what they're talking about, and aren't opposed to sharing notes/giving help (journalism students tend to be turds in this regard. Avoid those pricks).
-The lecturer and/or tutor when you are unsure about literally anything. They ******* love students like that. Trust me.
-A quiet spot on campus/library where you can be alone. You don't always need your mates.
-Rest. Take time out from study each and every day--an hour or two. Watch some Youtube and zone out or something. I dunno. Read a book! This can depend on you course, though. I've done Education/Psych, but I've had friends who've done engineering courses with absurd timetables. Still, do your best!
-Sleep. As much as possible.
Avoid:
-Lazy friends. They mooch and distract you. I know because I've been one.
-Doing anything on the last night something's due. Aim for finishing a week before the due date if not more.
-Alcohol. Especially bringing it to a lecture. Drunk students are ******* annoying, dude. If everything's done and you know your notes, you have permission to drink away a night.
-Early lectures. Things that start at 8am may sound fine just after finishing school, but you're going to change, man! They are the classes most often skipped or missed. Don't put yourself in that position! Choose class-times that allow you considerable sleep.
-Not sleeping. If you can only function with five energy drinks in the morning, you need more sleep.

i wish to public state that there is literally 0 reason why supremacy has not got earbuds so that he doesn't ******* echo and it makes me further question the staffs ability to pick able bodied people for staff positions

Do we really need fast travels?
-
As someone who has experienced no fast-travels on a multitude of maps, keep fast-travels, put them anywhere a person wants them, and make them free. Just like they are now. Road RP hasn't been a thing since Aegis, and even then it wasn't very good. Walking anywhere becomes intensely tedious, even to relatively close places.
We ought not to make the same mistakes twice.
