Metagaming is the use of information that you have gained in a solely Out of Character format in an In Character way. Powergaming is forcing an action upon another character such as taking a wound. For example, if I were to roleplay a character and state his action as "He then stabs him in the throat," instead of saying "He attempts to stab him in the throat," it leaves no way for the other roleplayer to have their character do something else. This is of course not restricted to combat roleplay. Character Name: Quincy Torranes What is your Race?: Half-Elf Biography(This should include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Quincy was always a strange child. Born of a Human mother and Elven father, he never looked away from books. As a young child, surrounded by his parent's tomes, he learned to read at a very young age. As he grew, his mind grew, but so did his eccentricity. When his mother died of age, he cried little. He was more fascinated by the situation then bothered by it. He wanted to experience it. So that is what he is. The blonde-haired, handsome, tall, half-elven boy continue to grow, till eventually something very strange showed out about him. His speech pattern was absolutely erratic. He would use words in strange ways, say entire sentences backwards and speak in plain riddles. After a few years of this and his father's protests, he eventually began to develop away from the erratic speech, but instead always spoke in rhyme. When he came of age, a half-elven woman was found by his father to be suited for Quincy. Quincy was eccentric and fascinating to her, and fell for him instantly. Quincy was emotionless towards her, he found her boring. He started a bookstore in Laurelin and wrote and bought and sold books of all types. However, after two years of marriage with the woman, they were broke. She had worked taverns to try and keep them afloat, and she was sick of supporting them. She left him, though he didn't care much. He scavanged for food, renting out his living space before he would dare to think of selling his bookstore. When Iblees came and burned down Aegis for the last time, he was one of the last to flee through the portal, more interesting in the operation of the Drakes and the fear in the people's eyes. He is absolutely neutral in everything, never striking anyone, but not helping anyone either unless it is extremely helpful to him. Your characters ambitions: Quincy desires an accumulation of tomes and knowledge like none have ever seen. He wants to live a simple life with his books, and teach others to read and write. Out in the Wilds, your character comes across a small cottage. Outside, there appears to be an elf struggling combat with two bandits. What does your character do? Quincy would certainly do nothing to interfere. He would turn around and run back, mentioning the scene to the first guards or travelers he sees, but not risking himself for something that doesn't involve him. Your character walks up to a shop in a quiet market. "Hello, my good sir!" says the shop owner. "What may I help you with today?" How does your character answer? "I'm curious, my friend, do you have a few book-ends? It's important to me to recieve them for free, so my labor will I give so that your business may so-live!" A screenshot of your skin:

Lorethos has actually been going nation to nation discussing the possibility of a festival. The Covenant of Sanctuary, a neutral group devoted to pacifism and international peace, will offer it's Keep and surrounding area for the festival as it was planning to do.

I'll try, but all my writing is cryptic and illogically emotionless, so it'll be hard for me to write something with a "twist."

Lorethos examines the notice board, and sneezes. "Well isn't that just the most sophisticated threat."

Lorethos sniffles for no apparent reason, reads the notice, laughs and tears it up. "Why should you let them be warned. Just kill them and save everyone the trouble."

Lorethos examines the letter carefull, running a hand through his hair. He'd shrug and scribble on the back of it, sending the letter back to the sender. "Have this meeting of yours in the Cloud Temple. The likelihood that someone will think you inviting all the leaders of Asulon to your fort all at the same time for any reason is perfectly lacking suspicion is very low. The Cloud Temple has an enchantment that absolutely prevents violence."

I agree. Perhaps we could give it a name instead of a bland number though?

"I have a great interest in a meeting the head of your Order. If the feeling is mutual to any level, then I suggest that you and any other trusted members of your new Order venture to Aegis Keep. If you go to the Wilven Sanctuary Valley, there is a small cave on the opposite side of the Valley then the Cloud Temple. Through there is the Aegis Keep. If I am not present then seek out my co-leader, Annabelle Cyrus. The code of neutrality is strangely similar to the Arcane Covenant. We even used to have it so that we would have two residences from every nation be a part of our group. Perhaps, since this Order is also a neutral group, we could come to a sort of close affiliation?

Lorethos has been devising a plan for a festival to take place in and around Aegis Keep to celebrate the lives of those lost in Aegis and to welcome a new beginning to this new world of Asulon. He hopes this will relieve some of the tension if he can manage it peacefully and without competition. The proximity to The Wilven Sanctuary also means some of the area in Aegis Keep is impervious to violence. What does everyone think of an IC festival for all the nations hosted by the neutral Arcane Covenant?

"I'll have to discuss with Annabelle, but you seem a perfect addition. Go to Aegis Keep. You can find it if you head into the Wilven Valley Sanctuary and head through the small cave opposite the large Cloud Temple."
