    Still wondering... Is a Ninjato a real weapon or is it just a fictional rip-off of a Katana?

      Ninja swords are shorter than the swords used by samurai. The reason for this was that a larger sword was often too big or heavy to allow the Ninja to run quickly or hide in small places. Also, the way a ninja used the sword was different to a samurai. Samurai would swing their sword, severing limbs and slashing at the opponent. Ninja, on the other hand, would stab with their sword. <= Ninjato

      So, the swords the Ninjas used were real?

      For I have heard a lot of controversy saying that the Ninjas only used Katanas as their main swords and that the Ninjato was a pop culture creation.

      Katana's are much to cumbersome and large for the work of a ninja.

    I'm wondering if hand-to-hand combat is used often in LOTC. Looks like most often people use deadly weapons to go through their everyday battles.

      When I fought with my old char, I used to use alot of basic Krav Maga Techniques, and that's hand to hand.
