Div'thilln, Mali'aheral? (#2)
Splitchris replied to cmack1028's topic in Thales and the Fringe Roleplay Archive
Do'Ikari, walking through Tahn'siol freezes at the sight of the poster, enraged at whoever had made the posters for now involving and insulting Khas. Growling, he proceeds to rip the poster down and eat it, chewing fiercely. Food is scarce because of the drought anyways.- 18 replies

Do'Ikari's eyes melt from the sexiness of that drawing, which he assumes is a gift from Metztli.

[Ooc] Roleplaying Effectively As A Kharajyr

Nice and simple, might try playing a Kha again now, but one question... Is the population still like 5 people? And where do Khas usually hang out to RP Kha stuff? -

Hey! The surrendering thing was WW2 (and was actually a government change), and we fought for 3 years against Austria-Hungary in the alps, losing half a million lives and barely gaining anything of what was promised, so I don't want none of your surrender monkey shiz ;_;

The Kur'oi Tribes The dust swept across the vast desert plains of Orkenen, the small planet which was the home of the Kur'oi. A nomadic figure, clad in all-white robes covering all but his purple eyes stopped to take a sip of water from his sack of Hal'got hide, admiring the view from atop his own Hal'got. The howling wind, the unbearable heat, the amazing beauty of the landscape all combined to create a sensation of being home. As his comrade caught up with him, the man muttered some encouragement to his Hal'got and the two continue their slow trot. And on they went, onwards through the seemingly endless desert. The man was Kal'On, the leader of the Kur'oi Tribal Council, the council which had unified the various tribes of the Kur'oi into one. He was on his way to Sa'za, the capital and location of the Tribal Council of Kur'oi. He was a strange man to many, although he very well could have travelled in a dropship or aboard a frigate to and fro, he preferred to stay atop his Hal'got. Where as the majority of the Kur'oi would take water and green hills instead of the desert any time, Kal'on loved it as it was his home, and saw oppurtunities in the harsh weather and terrain, not limitations. And he was determined to not let it fall to any invader or foreign force, not as long as there is a drop of life in his body. The 16-hour day/night cycle of the Orkenen passed, and the next day, Kal'On was exiting the council room around the same time he stopped to admire the view the previous day. The council was well-humoured and calm that day, a rare occasion, and he had managed to pass a handful of laws and reforms to prepare for the oncoming fleets and threats looming over the planet. -All frigates and other major vessels owned by Kur'oi citizens must be recorded and counted for the Kur'oi government ((1)) -These vessels, once registered must have at least one plasma turret and one laser turret of a powerful type, or else the vessel will be confiscated by the state ((4)) -Regular patrols, in the atmosphere and in orbit of Orkenen will begin, the orbital patrols being conducted by wolf-pack-like groups of military frigates, and the desert will be patrolled by squadrons of the FH'G (Flying Hal'Got) fighters ((1)) -A production plant for military gear such as rifles, FH'Gs or frigates will be constructed in every city with a population of over 100,000 ((4))

Could we maybe have a 2nd mod to review apps at least? That would give RP a boost. -

Does Chaqery have IRL issues or such? Considering he hasn't posted in 3 days and our applications still haven't been reviewed. -

You guys feel underpowered? xD My race/nation doesn't even have a proper fleet... And my army is 500,000 Alien nomads, 1/5th of them riding alien camels. Other than that I have some fighters, and my real defense is the desert, haha :P -

[Applications/ooc/info] Hellfire And Brimstone
Splitchris replied to Chaqery's topic in Anthos OOC Archive
Faction (feel free to explain it in further detail if it’s an original idea, or a lesser known faction): The Kur'oi Tribes The origin of the Kur'oi is often debated, some saying they are the offspring of a random human ship crashed on Orkenen many years ago, others saying they had been there since the beginning of time. They are a humanoid race, similar in build and height, the main difference being their thicker, dark red skin, their purple and serpent-like eyes and their lack of hair other than in the face. Their bodies have adapted for the harsh environment of the Orkenen desert, their culture and habits having adapted together with their body to survive the extreme heat. They are always seen wearing white cloaks and covers, which cover their bodies as to only leave space for the eyes and nose, and these cloaks are only removed when necessary. The Kur'oi's technology and engineers mainly focuses on getting foreign machines, ships and other materials, and adapting/converting them for use in the Orkenen desert, where any normal ship would quickly break down. Although previously a group of split tribes, the Kur'oi have united to fight the threat of the new civilizations arriving in their solar system. Does your faction control one of the planets or moons?: The Kur'oi control the Orkenen. If so, name it and tell us a bit about it. Terrain, climate, how densely settled it is, etc.:It is a small planet which has a constant and extreme summer, and is over 90% desert wasteland. The temperatures often reach 70 degrees celsius or more at mid day (the 8th hour of the day, the day and night cycle being only 16 hours because of the planet's closeness to the sun), and any non-Kur'oi people without aid or proper equipment have a very troublesome time adapting and surviving the harsh environment. The cities are far apart and built under and in the sides of mountains, often covered by massive white sheets to counter the heat and gain as much shade as possible. Between the cities is very little but the occassional farm sheds, who survive on herding the special Hal'got animals who roam Orkenen, an animal much like the Earth camel. Starting military forces (Be reasonable. Large is fine. Massive is a bit ridiculous. Note that you will be able to apply for reinforcements as things progress along.): 500,000 Nomadic Kur'oi warrriors, 100,000 of them riding Hal'gots, all armed with special desert resistant rifles. 1,000 Varying Kur'oi owned space-capable frigates, most of them traders or passenger ships, though some are military. 700 Desert 'Flying Hal'gots', special fighter planes specialized for surviving and operating in the Orkenen desert with little maintenance, thus named after the Hal'gots. ----------------------------------- Hope numbers aren't PG. Basically, an alien nomadic desert race, a mix of sci-fi like Star Wars and Wild West and Arab elements that I put together :) -

The Nicatori Bastard Returns
Splitchris replied to Emp's topic in Thales and the Fringe Roleplay Archive
Leonardo stands a few meters behind his father, eyeing the his bastard brother carefully as he takes a heavy breath and sighs. It seemed his parents were more than what they seemed, and had been up to much odd stuff in the past. Scratching his chin lightly, he turns around and exits the room, heading for his quarters, wishing he had normal parents who didn't adopt every other day and were emotionally unstable.
