THE DECTERUM KEEP *Aurelius dispatches leaflets and posters around Abresi and the Kingdom of Anthos. The walls of the Decterum have been erected and stand strong. Honestly, I find vanilla minecraft very boring. Especially the older version, although there is a nice sense of nostalgia to the "Glory days" of LoTC, I wasn't there and my nostalgia is tied in the beginnings of minecraft. JIMIRIQUI Today will be remembered for various reasons. To many it will be the victorious battle against the dwarves. But to me, and a few close to me will remember this day always. This day we lost one of the most valiant fighters to grace Oren. This day we lost a great one. MC Name: Sgt_Kipples Character Name: Hoscus Evron Character Age: 29 Character Backstory: Hoscus was born in Old Abresi, His father was a Merchant book salesman who sold every book thinkable, everything from cook books to magical tales of old Mages. Whatever they were, Hoscus read them, he took comfort in them and he would spend hours reading these books. Hoscus was 10 time smarter than the average child, he could manipulate the other children. Despite this skill he was disliked as a child, and bullied by a few. Hoscus spent the earlier time of his life as a social reject, after having his childhood riddled with loneliness. Hoscus continued to read books, he would cook from one of the books his father owned. "Baking for the Best". Hoscus made bread, and however preposterous his father thought the idea of his son cooking at the age of 11 was. He couldn't deny that his son had a gift, he baked as a past time mostly but he has done it since he was 11 and he continues to today. When he was 12 Hoscus found a book in his fathers collection that told tales of Mages and wizards. Their heroic stories entranced Hoscus and he has had a dream to learn magic ever since. His desire to learn magic led him to play in the woods. He would go out there and pretend to be one of the Mages from the stories, Hoscus grew in size and muscle, not only had his intelligence complimented him but now he had an array of physical talents. After progressing through his pubescent years Hoscus was sent to live with his Uncle by his father, His uncle was an accomplished archer and retired soldier of Renatus. At his uncles farm near salvus, Hoscus learnt how to ride and how to shoot. He deterred from swords as he much preferred bows. This led him to be a skilled archer, not as good as his uncle though. Everything was going fine for Hoscus when news came of a Fire at his Fathers house in Abresi, His father was unhurt but everything they owned was gone, including his fathers library, his books, his Mina. All that remained from the fire was Hocus' father. His father forced Hoscus to stay with him and work. Even though Hoscus had a wealthy uncle from which he had been staying with, his Father was too proud to ask for mina or help from him. So from the age of 17 Hoscus and his Father worked for a wealthy farmer near Malinor, long hours and low pay, his father suffered a stroke and lost feeling in his left side after three months on the farm. So with his father unable to work Hoscus was left to work on the ranch trying to provide for both of them. One night, Hoscus awoke from his sleep to hear screams coming from the women's bunkhouse. Inside was the wealthy farmer holding a belt up to a kneeling women, she had blood dripping from her face, Unable to understand the situation, he froze as the man looked at him: "What are you doing here boy?" He shouted! All Hoscus could reply with was: "I..I..I heard screams". Stuttering backwards, the man walked towards him with the belt at a striking position. "You oughta mind your own business boy" Before swinging a punch towards his gut and hitting him in the face with the leather belt. "You aint got no right intruding a mans business like that boy" "I oughtta kill you". The man reeked of ale and he swung again at Hoscus beating him senseless. Hoscus let out a little wail before he was tackled to the ground outside the bunkhouse. The drunk man knew not of his actions but Hoscus felt the ground for a weapon whilst being beaten for no reason. Alas he found a medium sized rock and swung it towards the farmers head, before doing it again and again and again. Suddenly Hoscus found he was the one on top (for once). Hoscus kept wailing the man in the face with the rock until nothign was left on the farmers face but blood and a motionless sigh. Hoscus left the farm that night, leaving a note with his goodbyes to his father explaining the situation. Hoscus felt no regret or guilt for his actions, instead a sense of blunt coldness. Finally he had been the dominator finally after a childhood of abuse and neglect from his peers, he wasn't scared. He wasn't scared of others, he wasn't scared of fighting or killing. The rush he had that night left him fazed, he just felt cold, maybe it was his departure from his father once again. Maybe this was remorse, maybe he enjoyed it. All Hoscus knew was that he had killed a man. Whether the murder was justified was another question but for now Hoscus was on the road. Hoscus lived on the road after that, never belonging anywhere. He started to steal and he found a book on lock picking this he read and learnt how to break into chests and rooms. Sometimes Hoscus would break in to peoples rooms in Taverns and inns, simply to practice. Mainly it would be to steal the Mina for his dinner. Hoscus would practice his lock picking on small houses in Kralta and Salvus. He would break in steal and leave. He is currently looking for work.

But due to threat of invasion and disease they were forced to relocate to Abresi. They lived in a small house, three or four blocks from the walls. And every morning they would push the cart to the town centre and sell books from historical significance to comedic. Hektors Father's business grew in size and was more and more successful especially when Hektor was able to help sell. The top selling books were History. (The history of the Grandaxes, The destruction of Aegis, And The Great Collapse). It is from these books that Hektor discovered his love of battle and weaponry. When Hektor turned eighteen his father gave him the sword that was passed down to him from his father before him. And told Hektor to pursue a life of Wealth and happiness. Hektor took only his clothes, the sword, and 80 Mina. Throughout the years Hektor travelled looking for work as a mercenary, rarely does he get any. He spends his nights outside or in a Tavern. Getting any work he can as helping on a farm or even construction. He is too ashamed to return to his Father with nothing so he keeps travelling looking for a way to riches.
