  1. Entropy Ltd. Dulls hums of machinery and the hymns of working men spread across the eastern coasts like ants expanding their colony. Unquantifiable amounts of equipment, entire fleets of transport craft, and convoys of vehicles were the sources of the sounds that had deafened all those who came to observe the construction of the future of trade across the eastern hemisphere. The personnel belonging to the corporation had no intent on standing idle as many of them worked tirelessly around the clock out of their own good will, and underlying obligations to their corporation. A common goal between these mass groups of employees was anything but a secret if they were confronted by onlookers; they are building a better tomorrow. Activity: Expenditures (63k G) - Further economic growth on the capital. (60k G; 7 Civ Manu) Supplies are sent elsewhere. (3k G) Mod/Diplomacy (25k G) - With their equipment bought, employees transferred, and assets in place, the true construction of Project E.Unity can begin. A premier standpoint, as well as an immediate financially beneficial one, is made as the first true piece of the massive puzzle the corporation is putting together. A superhighway, a dozen lanes wide and entirely submerged beneath the straits, is the first construct that the corporation plans and begins work on. The lanes would lead from the southernmost point of the Emritian coasts, cross over and connect to the western island that the Schenberg Space Elevator is being constructed on, and then end in the capital city of the corporation. Although it is a mere stepping stone to begin with, it is the first of many constructs that would lead to mass amounts of increased trade between the now linked north and southern continent in the eastern hemisphere and one which the corporation hopes they may benefit off of before the project is completed in its entirety. (20k G [30k Invested]) The Schenberg Corporation and Emritian’s are approached with an offer from the corporation in relation to their solar project. With a striking turnout on the air, a new live service is offered to the people of the globe. A broadcasting center is made in the capital, forming a new media branch within the corporation. The main focus of such a network would be based around showing the MIGHTY battles against the Kaiju threat, as well as providing live information on the expected and ongoing attacks. Dramatizations of these attacks would also be shown afterwards, being made into a mini-action movie being aired on the network following all successful battles against the kaiju threat. Of course, the grim side of the battles such as losses of human life would be kept shrouded, only showing the most prolific of moments such as the five-pronged attack during the most recent battle which would be heavily marketed to any action enthusiasts. However, such a PREMIUM network would require a subscription for viewing, of course :goyim:. Project: E.Unity, as they call it, begins with the simplest of asset gathering and acquisition of resources across the markets. Millions of tonnes of concrete, rebar, pavement, over a dozen tunnel-borers, the required manpower, and absolutely zero insurance for any personnel are brought to the coasts of the eastern hemisphere. Work of building off of pre-existing major roadways that lead towards the coast begins, though for the time being these roads lead to mass construction sites, a particularly large one springing up at the strait between the corporation city and the Emritian coast, the likes of which are littered with corporation personnel for a seemingly massive project. 3. Entropy Ltd. What could be said of The Corporation at this point? Not a whole lot, that is for sure. But with time ticking on the eventualities of conflict, interests, and the overpowering desire of shmoney certainly are things that the MegaCorp would take into account. Now with the prevalence of people knocking at their door each day, there isn’t much of a purpose to not let them swing wide open. At least, that is the thought of the man who would seek to lead such a corporation. “Now, tell me again what is it they want?” Was the irritated response that the transponder unit received for an irrelevant question. The metallic voice of the pseudo-bionic… thing responded to the Chairman in it’s usual, flat tone. “Unrivaled entry, in search of the-” The ringing resonation of a gunshot echoed throughout the office as the barrel of the Chairman’s pistol was left smoking. The sound of crumpling flesh and metal dropping to the floor drew a lengthened sigh from the man as he looked towards the mirror standing in the corner of the room that harbored his most trusted advisor; himself. “Stop standing there looking so handsome and help me think, hm?” The man’s dress shoes clapped against the tiled floor of the room with each step, drawing him closer to his own reflection. “What would they need from me? Money? Certainly got that… Looks?” He stared at the mirror, grinned, then crossed his arms as he thought to himself, a dangerous game for a man of his liking. After a few moments of pondering, the man’s fingers snapped against his palm as he turned back to the table and hastily approached it, pressing a button on the reliable phone stand. A brief moment of silence on the intercom, and a hastened voice spoke, “Yes? What do you need?” A quick clear of his throat and the Chairman responded, “Well, I need you to go and see that our guests are taken care of. Though, not too many of them, understand? Keep the boys on a leash, and I don’t mean our own.” A deep sigh was his response, though a grumbled, “Understood.” followed before the intercom went silent. And with that, the Chairman could rest easy as the task was out of his hands, though another arose as his eyes drifted to the body laying on his now defiled tile floor. Another day, another catastrophe avoided. Nothing new, right? Activity: Expenditures (85k C) - A mighty commercial district springs up upon the capital. As reported by the Xi’an authorities, all those who had been sent on duties within the Xi’an Provinces are questioned and thoroughly examined on their time whilst within the provinces. Amelia Krozky is to head the investigation, being one of the capable and knowledgeable assets that the corporation has on hand. (Amelia - 0 Leadership, 4 Martial, 2 Charisma, 6 Agility) As agreed upon with sufficient terms, Corporation troops begin to move and establish themselves across the islands to the north. A force of 1000 Icarus suits under the leadership of Ace Stanisław Jabłonowski are sent to secure the zone and establish a healthy garrison on the island. 4. Discord Name: Quackers Nation Name: The Corporation Government Type: Oligarchy Leader: Bronislaw Lieberman Culture: Polish derivative, mixed Eastern/Central European History: The Corporation was not formed by one being, but rather the ambitions of many. Following the catastrophic events of D-Day on the Fujian Federation, many small arms and development companies that had been under the tyranny of the Fujian Federation saw an opportunity to escape the clutches of the militarily crippled Federation and seek elysium elsewhere. Retreating to the waters on the western coast of the continents, many of these companies had filled their pockets through commissions for the Fujian Federation and seeked to stake their own claim. However, rather than simply placing themselves on the map alone and vulnerable, these minor companies seeked a treaty between them. Now known in history as The Absolvement, the formation of a new nation simply known as The Corporation was made where the focus of quotas and efficiency far outweighed the ethics that bound many other nations to not progress their studies. With this in mind, The Corporation formed under a bureaucratic oligarchy, electing a leader to maintain the position of ‘CEO’ over the company and ensure the ideologies that progress and investment were to remain at the company’s forefront. With years passing by and the Kaiju only becoming more aggressive in due time, The Corporation deemed it necessary for expansion into foreign markets and the requisitioning of foriegn assets. What many would deem to be unlawful, The Corporation deems as necessary in their need of expansion and progression of not only the fattening of their pockets, but the good of the human race in its entirety. Groups or places of interest: The Spire - The collective buildup of years of progress, intuition, and generalized efforts from the millions of workers of The Corporation. A true marvel of engineering that shimmers across the The Corporation skyline as a beacon of power and opportunity. Whilst on the surface the building may seem to be little more than a heavily developed construct, that could be nothing further from the truth on closer inspection to the subsystems of The Spire. On activation, The Spire transforms into what could only be called an impenetrable fortress, entirely future proofed from Kaiju incursions as well as being heavily defended from the sky and ground through automated systems; dozens of CIWS, Guided Munitions, and Missiles Silos are only among a few of the interlaced subsystems built within The Spire to act as a point of absolute defense in case of attack on the city. Santa Maria Station - Now serving as the main R&D development station of The Corporation, it is a long-standing and prestigious establishment that has contributed to the development of countless world-wide studies such as the Nephalite Reactor, as well as early testing for the Elysian Interface System. Previously owned and primarily operated by the AA Corporation, Santa Maria Station fell under the ownership of The Corporation during the Absolvement that linked the many companies together. Despite its prestigious past, the station was largely abandoned after its acquisition and partially utilized as little more than a waystation for deep space missions from other nations. However, after authorization for Professor Nikoś Arden to proceed with his studies, the station was redesignated as an orbital R&D department for The Corporation to practice their somewhat questionable research projects far from where it could harm anyone. Key Figures (3 people with points): Professor, Nikoś Arden A leading world expert of the studies of artificial intelligence, as well as a published author of various theories, Professor Nikoś Arden has all but shed his form in search of something greater. Truth be told, if not for the complexities of lobbying and generalized world politics, Nikoś would be the de facto leader of The Corporation since its earliest conception. A devoted man to not only his craft, but the betterment of humanity's future in its entirety is seemingly all but Nikoś’ sole reason for existence. Following the events of D-Day, at the time where Nikoś was progressing his studies within the Fujian Federation, he was left in a near paralyzed state after being caught in a portion of the blast. Severely crippled, and borderline in a vegetated state, the man was the first to undergo one of his own experimental processes of transferring a consciousness to another, non-organic, being. Although the operation was a success, Nikoś’ memory was largely lost during the last several years within Fujia and some time before. With no reason to partake further in the Fujian criminal world, he sought the freedom to continue his studies elsewhere and found himself in the employment of the now leader of The Corporation, Bronislaw, before the MegaCorp’s formation. (WIP?) CEO, Bronislaw Lieberman Powerful, stunning, lunatic; the words that many describe the man who now is the head of The Corporation. While many would seek to see his head on a spike, he had already imagined it in turn years before. Many of the :wagie: below him work not for their exuberant wages, but rather in fear of displeasing the man who had taken their families captive the moment they had signed on to their position under The Corporation. While maintaining a doctrine of fear and regular shows of force, the man named Bronislaw Lieberman is all but a hero of the people. He seeks not the glory that many other leaders do, but rather the cutthroat tactics of efficiency and spread of ‘T h e B r a n d’, as he puts it. Exuberant amounts of wealth, amassed promises never fulfilled, and a sharp cunning alike to something of fiction has driven this man to the peak of The Corporation. (2 Leadership, 1 Martial, 8 Charisma, 1 Agility) REDACTED, Amelia Krozky A bounty hunter of little name, at least for the time being, Amelia sought employment under a new kind of leader. Following a set of brief attempts of joining both standardized and privately owned military forces, Amelia could find none that appealed to her until finally meeting the representatives of The Corporation. Now, several years on in her contract, Amelia is a privatized asset that is greatly valued by those of the security wing of The Corporation. (0 Leadership, 7 Martial, 2 Charisma, 3 Agility) Point Distribution: 10 Econ, 10 Tech, 5 Loyalty, 5 Military Nat Idea: Ad Astra - Start with a space station allowing the building of unique investments (DMs to talk about investments, I assume?) Unique Units (3): Invicta Battlesuit (Icarus Battlesuit, Additional) - Similar in design to the Icarus, the Invicta is a land-only variant of the Icarus. With the need for flight no longer being a subject of requirement, the suit is much more well armed and armored than the Icarus, far outmatching it in both categories. Subsystems reliant on flight and maneuvering have been exchanged for additional targeting as well as crude autonomous AI functions to allow basic guard and movement commands for the mech, however expansion on these subsystems is planned... Wojak (Special Forces, #s bound to # of Icarus/Invictas) - Elite and trained contractors of The Corporation, many of them are long-standing veterans of battles fought under the Fujian Federation before the Absolvement. Along with their battlefield prowess, they are paired with a mech to allow optimal control and expertise, far exceeding the skills of all other basic pilots who utilize mechs. These pilots form the backbone of The Corporation’s security sector. Nośnik (Carrier, Replacement) - The Nośnik-class carrier serves as the command center of all airship warfare. While not being the pride of the fleet, such as a battlecarrier, the superior systems on the vessel make it an ideal command ship, though the lack of weaponry does make it a vulnerable target if not properly supported. However, in light of its lack of defensive abilities, the carrier is capable of becoming fully submersive on a few seconds notice, as well as containing advanced radar scrambling technologies to make it borderline stealth capable once underwater. Starting Location: Are Mechs superior to tanks?: I read your ****, don’t do this to me.
  5. The Pérasmani League The vessels of the Perasmani soon returned to port following their decisive victory over the Zeb Menace. With their noses bloodied, as well as many of the remaining ships and men requiring repairs or treatment, the fleet is docked within the harbor of the capital of Limáni. Although a large majority of the men are dispersed and allowed leave, the battle hardened captain of the first Exousia is summoned to the docks. Upon arrival, the captain would be met with a procession of hundreds of citizens, many of them sporting their cascading robes and finest of gems adorning their wrists, fingers and necks as they lined either side of the extended wharf. Towering pillars lit aflame at the peaks were the only sources of light across the pier for the sun had already begun to set across the horizon. It was at the end of the sturdy construct that the captain would find not only his superior, Lysander, but as well as the Archon, Atreus, awaiting his arrival. Either of the men would be on the edge of the wharf that overlooked a lower, semi-submerged platform hanging off the edge where a gathering of soothsayers and theologians alike were also waiting. As the captain stepped down the steps to the submerged platform, he could not help but admire the view before him; the mighty waves of the Fydor which had ravaged the geography of the natural harbor were all but seemingly subdued, their murky blue hues stretching for as far as the eye could see before him. It was here that he felt a part of the sea, more so than ever before in his life. “Commodore,” Spoke a particularly aged and withered man, similarly dressed to the other citizens yet around his neck hung an array of tablets looped on a cord, each of the squares containing a different remembrance of the Perasmani’s patron gods. “I welcome you with all my heart, as do all of us. Your feats of gallantry and utmost proficiency against foreign invaders has earned you the respect of not just your peers, but the deities themselves. May Amphirite bless you, for if not for you, our island would have sunk long ago to the depths of Tautanis.” The man then turned away from the man, edging himself closer to the edge of the platform and peered over the edge into the depths that lay below. His hand waved by his side towards the edge of the platform as his head tilted upwards, his eyeline scouring the endless horizon before him. The captain stepped forth, to which a company of the aforementioned soothsayers surrounded the man on both sides. They worked in tandem, undressing the man in full and exposing him to the elements of the sea. He then dropped beside the elderly man, sitting upon his knees with his legs folded beneath him. “Amphirite, we come to you now in search of patronage. May you grant us the strength to face the evils that lay before us and beyond, for if not for you, then no other may guide us.” The elderly man receded from the lowered platform as he spoke, as did the entourage of divine figures with him. “We offer this man, a prideful warrior and proven commander on the waves for he has repelled the greed of the Ishikawans, and defeated the horrors of the Zeb Menace. Grant him the power of the tides of the Fydor, the winds of Antioch, the fires of Tautanis, and the earth of Untera. With such power, should he obtain it, he shall strike down all unworthy adversaries that would seek to destroy our blessed island, preserving your legacy and extending our own across the waves. Should he be worthy of your blessing, return him to us not as a man, but an ascended being; reborn as the carrier of your divine will, a Champion of Amphirite, and the Protector of the Fydor.” As the elder concluded his prayer, the captain took in a final breath, then exhaled as shallow as his lungs would allow. With the snap of a lever, the artificial island that he had been sitting upon dropped from the wharf, submerging both the captain far below the sea until the depths overtook his figure, shrouding him from any onlookers' sight. Mere moments passed before the procession broke into a unified hymn, many of them falling to their knees similarly to the captain before being dispatched to the depths. Hundreds of voices joined together, echoing across the shores of the island in divine union and synchronicity. After half a minute, the hymns stopped at once and the onlookers gazed across the water. Their faces were layered with looks of fear, subdued doubt, dashes of optimism, and one was too busy exchanging coins with an Ishikowoid :goyim: for a bet. Though it was after more than a full minute had passed since the captain's submergence did a sound break the silence of the crowd. A gargle, followed by a deepened gasp of air, and then the breaking of water across the ocean's surface. The collective cheer of the crowd was incapable of being drowned out, even from across the sprawling urban landscape of the city they could be heard, for their champion had risen and they wished to greet him in full. They seek to pillage the coasts of either nation, utilizing the broad seas to launch their attacks from and avoid being cornered. Both commanders of these flotillas also use these attacks to gauge their foes strength on the land and sea. Runemancy - Igni Bolts] Seeing as their invention cannot work without a material to source itself from, an adaptation is made to the bolt. Whilst keeping the idea the same, a spherical lead shell, segmented by partially carved out segments and filled with smaller lead balls, is made and placed on the tip of the bolt, covering the output point of the runic energy imbued in it. The rune would work the same as before albeit with a slight change. Although still activating in flight, the energy output would be ‘blocked’ by the precut shell and balls of lead, causing immense heat and energy buildup within the blockage. The ball would then combust, causing the magically imbued, superheated pieces of lead to spread across a wide area of effect and causing both physical and fire damage to all flammable objects beneath it. Obviously, the addition of a lead ball on the front of the bolt would limit it’s range, however to counteract it would be the upcoming empowerment of their ballista’s. Other uses are also searched for, seeing as there is little else that comes to mind when thinking of uses for the bird. (10k C [20k C Invested]) With little else going on for the nation, a party of men are gathered in the Cheesemen halls and sent abroad. Their mission is simple; to assess the potential enemies in full. The men head to nearby nations on the Fydor to examine their numbers and relative strength to the Cheesemen’s own, the list being Arnun and Khrav to the south and Nok to the north. As the presence of Perasmani business within the Chtor grows, so do the ambitions of the island’s chief goyim. Utilizing his knowledge of the economic landscape of the Chicahtoc Empire, his involvement within their trade influence would become far more aggressive in an effort to further strengthen his control over the trade region. The ‘redirection’ of locally sourced goods sold by independent merchants is made to instead force them to pass through the underground dealings of the Perasmani where a hefty tariff is applied to the independent sellers and buyers. This is enforced by Salazar's own party and charisma, as well as a contingent of Perasmani ‘lended’ troops should the need for them arise. Meanwhile the goods sold and imported by the Perasmani merchants through their underground dwellings would be allowed free passage through the nation, no doubt becoming far more popular than the heavily taxed and much more expensive goods that any other merchant would attempt to sell after being redirected through Salazar’s holdings. An expedition spanning the width of the subcontinent is made, it’s course ensuring the possibility to visit several key points of interest across the landmass while on the journey from coast to coast. The antique bird, seemingly lost in Cormac’s belongings for some time :wagie:, that was previously discovered within Fydor’s Bastion is finally examined. The main goal is to find some degree of power that may activate the bird, and seeing as no mechanical means were found, a magical route is taken. To imbue the bird with power, and to attempt to learn more of its workings, studies into “golemology” are made. The studies lean towards the management and possibilities of providing an object with magical essence rather than the actual creation of golems in hopes that it will lead them somewhere closer to activating the bird. Additionally, as the Samalstrazi had given them some insight to their new material, Letricium, it is also used in an attempt to power the creation. Merely understanding the potency of the power within the dust and what kind of magic group it may belong to are the preliminary investigations of the research to obtain more knowledge as to what they are working with before they attempt anything further. (5k C) As the goyim, Salazar, has had troubles of finding a buyer of any kind for his resources at hand, a different approach is taken to the prospect of expanding the trade. Utilizing the printing presses taken from the Chtor, a MIGHTY order of BILLIONS of catalogues is made. On his usual voyage throughout the Chtor to spread the good word of the shekelkek, the goyim and several dozen of his lackeys begin to disperse these catalogues throughout their destinations; Aldemar, The Ascendancy, Avon, The Dohocan Families, Alean, and even daring to go into the ports of Aeton. Within these catalogues are a wide array of presented goods, the prices of which are sharply undercut in comparison the usual prices across the Chtor as to allure the merchants from the Chtor, and instead to the Perasmani Isles to conduct their business. 16. The Pérasmani League Atreus paced side to side between the blanched pillars that led into the guild hall before him, his hands tucked behind the small of his back grasping at one another as he waited for… something. Judging by the lone droplet of sweat across his brow it had been some time since he arrived, and thus quite some time that he had been left waiting in the blazing sun that hung above. Several more minutes passed before a robed figure stepped out from the doorway of the guildhall, beckoning the Archon into the building with a wave of their draped arm. Atreus followed anxiously, staying close behind the cloaked figure as they made their way into the hall. Dozens of doors lined either side of the main hall, the sounds of voices and otherworldly discombobulated noises came from the other sides of the doorways although no one else seemed to be in the hall. After ascending a spiral of stairs leading up the hall, the pair arrived at a singular doorway at the top of the stairs; no other halls nor doors were there as the staircase led to this singular door. “He awaits you; within.” The cloaked figure spoke, as if musing with the Archon before him as if there were any mystery to the man who was behind the doorway. Atreus nodded once, then stepped into the room. The smell of minerals was heavy, the most pungent being the waft of rotten eggs that swirled about the room. The Archon brought his hand up towards his mouth, stifling a gag before stepping further into the room and letting out a muffled call. “Cormac! By the Ire what are you up to in here?” The shrewd, dainty frame of the man they called “The Hung” appeared from a sideroom within the laboratory, his face partially covered by a thick, dampened cloth that had been tied around his head. Although his lips were covered, the welcoming smile in his eyes was all but impossible to notice as he set eyes on the Archon. “Ahh! Ph-e wa’ wo’derin’ when you’d come!” The robed mage said as he walked towards Atreus, then suddenly turned about to retrieve something from the room; a dampened cloth for the Archon, which he politely refused with a wave of his hand. “You wanted to see me here… Who is this ‘we’?” The Archon asked as Cormac took the cloth back, sliding off his own to speak more clearly. The mage nodded lightly and then turned over his shoulder to speak back to the room he had come from. “Pytheas, come-come! The Archon is here!” He then turned back to the Archon to motion him over to a nearby set of wooden stools and a table littered with glassware and what seemed to be failed experiments shoved into a corner of the table judging by the shattered pile of glass that had been tucked away. “You want to explore, no? I have no better of a man! The Robust, Pytheas Atratnos!” Out from the doorway stepped a man who approached the pair, partially preoccupied with cleaning his hands from a pale yellow dust before he approached. The Robust certainly was an appropriate name for the man. Standing nearly a foot taller than the already average-framed Archon, and certainly several stones heavier, it almost seemed as if the floorboards beneath him were about to give out after each one of his heaving steps. The sheer girth of the man was something before unseen by Atreus with his own eyes as he came closer. Although the layered robes the man wore were somewhat misleading of his true size beneath, it was abundantly clear that he was by far the largest man on the island, even rivalling the size and ego of the :goyim: Salazar. Atreus gave a small look to Cormac for a moment, who was almost giddy with excitement as he could finally show off his peer to the Archon. “He’ll do.” Atreus muttered in approval. Whether it was out of his trust in the mage’s judgment or in fear of denying and having his rib cage collapsed by the giant was even unknown to himself.
