Look at the edit. Multiple groups can now make wraiths but some still call it a circle jerk since the possibility of it becoming that is quite high. And ghouls have very little power so it isn't a problem with them.

Then the problem remains as you are a close group of friends. The problem is the same with wraith lore really, any wraith can make another one, but in the end it is Benbos choice since he hands out the catalysts. Isn't a bad thing but in the end, it can be easily circle jerked even if it didn't seem like that when the lore was written

I know that, but I meant over time as they drained from people/nature and just went to put it in there, as more of a convenient way if you cant get them close by.

It was changed when Liches were revised a little while ago. Edit: Also Benbo wouldn't it be possible for a Necromancer to just pour lifeforce into it gradually until it reached the amount of 15 people?

This actually isn't a bad idea, the only problem is night lasts for about 5 minutes on lotc.

I think I can answer a few of these. 3. Yes, they could before and should be able to now especially since Liches can become them. (Correct me if I am wrong on any of these) 4: Tier 5 most likely 5: They were weak to Fi' before probably will be now. 6: If they don't touch the gold 7: They can wear armor (Or they could before) though it makes them loose all magic (Or it did before), and probably will make them slower. EDIT: The Elder Wraiths are lightly plated in armor, so probably only light armor 9: They can wield normal weapons of course, as they are not that weak, unsure about mages.
