Everyone knows a ban is a more severe punishment than a VB, and I’m being told that if u get banned with a VB it carries to when your unbanned, it was not my intention to avoid the VB but to prevent myself from playing lotc during exam period and that was an issue for the staff, one min they want to ban me, the next they refuse to. And FYI only recorded it to show I didn’t do any of this with malice but solely to receive a ban and focus on real life rather than mine man, refusing to temp ban me when I explain the reasoning and then egging me on to “do it“ literally telling me to pugsy to get banned speaks for itself. Myself and other players have asked for tempbans over the years plenty of times and it has never been an issue, no need for the new staff to make it one.

I started playing LOTC when I was 13, I'm 18 now, and my ban has been influenced by my younger selfs actions, I do agree with people being punished for multiple offences, but players who have played on the server for very long periods of time can be and commonly are harshly banned due to the actions of a once young and immature self. 

4 of my 5 bans were back in Athera (excluding this current one) I came back to LOTC after a very long ban, a more mature and respectful player, the staff don't take time into consideration, a player who is banned 5 times in a row 7 years ago will still be perma banned next time, even if they go 6 years without a fault or smear on their reputation within the community. 

Well enough? That 1/3 bans are from 'unwritten rules' that the gm's can pull out of their arse as they please. It is discouraging for new players ad they join- read the rules- are still banned for some retarded reason, and often leads to innocent players banned. The reason that LOTC is dying is the number of player bans IMO. I do believe in permanent bans, but i feel they should be awarded to players who hold no good morals and only mean harm to the server, like hacking or DDOS'ing, receiving a perma ban for Metagaming and a ban history IMO is retarded. Countless other servers on minecraft also issue bans, although their durations are less than Half of that on LOTC. Staff casually dishing out 3 month bans, 6 month bans. See'ing friends banned for ridiculous times over such minor events can cause players to just refuse to play and whole groups end up leaving the server. I do agree that players should be punished for bad behaviour, i just think there are too many cases where they are a bit OTT. 

@AGiantPieYh fair enough man, but some ppl do, i understand the primary goal of the server is not to be an economy game, but imo it is still a good thing to have a stable economy, and votes just aren't doing that

@NotEvilAtAllIm not saying OOC grinding is the way forward, but it at least made people put in work and effort to make money, and technically if you would make your char a lumberjack then you could work on that skill in game to grow richer/better at that skill, now that skills have been removed we don't need to resort to OOC voting? Not only that but you could also craft RP items and sell them for mina, but the way the current system is, there is no better way to make money than /vote. 

@AGiantPieUp until this map when the best gear has been limited to iron it has been mina that buys you the gear, you could get diamond armour recipe etc etc- and even this map there are flippers, speed boots and infinity bows which are mina purchased and give you an insane pop advantage. 

@SlothtasticYour missing the point mate, im not saying that they are the problem for having the 40k, im saying that the way that the server is currently working/running is retarded, voting for a server on minecraft server lists shouldn't be the best way to make money on a role-play server, at least one of this quality/depth. 

So the economy of the server plays a big part in the growth of nations etc etc, the amount of siege equipment and levels of gear and resources for wars have a major impact and can decide the winner of wars.

I'm not sure if you understand the rules, but you have broken a number and have been banned for it, you have turned one simple rp event into a 3 day drama in which you pg and meta gamed a number of times, I don't know how you expect to ever be unbanned if you keep up this attitude but good luck my friend.

Roleplay fights are generally a mess now anyways haha, with like 5+ it becomes an endless cycle of power gaming and reaction less attacks. your rly looking too much into this haha, wasn't meant to be taken seriously

it was a joke haha, but PVP is and always will be an aspect of LOTC. The status wasnt me completely disregarding roleplay, it was simply stating that if i wanted to PVP id need a ridiculous number of people to be in the fight to force it.

Yes, although that is not what was said. the original comment was targeted at pvp'rs in general, then targeted at small groups, now nations. Im not trying to start an argument, instead to voice my opinion, and i cannot do that if the topic at hand is constantly changing, if we talk about nations raiding then they too often have their consequences, as wars begin. Groups from one nation killing people of another nation can, and often does, result in wars, Oren for example was a nation that did this and look what happened to them. 

Also may i ask what nation is actually doing this?
