  1. Summed up pretty nicely here, if you have some patience in starting your work with him, I'm sure you'll find him quite useful +1
  2. ((Lol no matter how cool the de Bolbec's are, any association with Amoss is the quickest way to get rid of any street cred you ever had, or ever will have.)) Reading the notices Cederick has put up, Publius frowns deeply. With the man's intentions for treachery posted about Oren, he can only shake his head, not even needing to spread the word himself. He almost laughs out loud hearing of an association between the de Bolbec's and Amoss, his frown turning into a dastardly smile. "Literally disgusting. They should build a guild hall for their filthy friends and family, so we may see the vermin of Oren go up in smoke as we burn it down." He continues on about his day, pointing out the notices to passersby, and encouraging them to leave them up, rather than tear them up in outrage, so others may recognize the de Bolbec's for traitors.

  4. "Both were reviewed in person, and accepted! Approach me, Duke Vasili Vanir, Seargeant Bjorn Vanir or Seargeant Jace Evans for any additional info!"
  5. The regiment lays across the battlefield, men creating snow angels in this great fight. Publius sheds a single tear, as he armour falls apart in this storm of snow and ice. "Creator help us! Where are we to run in hide in this vicious attack? They strike at us like the gods they worship!"
  6. Publius spits with rage hearing this. "It would be merciful to leave these men off without their lives. Off with their hands and feet, out with their eyes and tongue! To betray Oren, is to betray humanity! I'm sure they and Kalenz would get along just fine..." Disgusted, he makes sure his men know the name, so they may arrest those bearing it.
  7. "The only difficulty Oren faces is restraint in its retribution. It is hard for us to stay our hand with our blood boiling so hot with rage." "The fate of those who maintain their path is sealed. I wish not for genocide, that'd be hypocritical: They killed our king for demanding the end of a genocide against 'impures'. I have sent out the late King Andrik Vyrda's letter which proves this, and if you're literate, I would suggest reading it. If not, I'm sure a scribe may rehearse it out loud for you."
  8. Publius hopes Phaedrus gets better soon.
  9. A group of captured High Elves are put in attendance of Lieutenant Publius Bracchus, held in captivity by the 2nd Akovian Regiment: "Dear soldiers of the Silver City. Today, we destroyed the army you fielded nearly upon contact. Shattered lay their shields, and destroyed are your houses destined to be. But do not be fooled, for this is the calm before the storm. This is as peaceful as you will see your lives for a long, long time. Hardly two elven weeks ago, we were staunch allies. We fought together, we broke bread together, we were almost one with our wills. This ended with your leadership's disgusting, racist policies towards those of "Impurity". It is shocking how offended your leadership became at this premise, and doubly shocking that the citizens of the Silver City supported their stance. It is a struggle to understand why an ally of ours could be so consumed with hate and anger, but it got far worse; they slayed our king. Not only were you not outraged, you stood firmly at their side. For this, you will pay. You know you will pay. You beg those you oppressed for forgiveness, but it is far too late. Your leadership is to be slain, but the citizens of Haelun'or have yet to choose there fate. To continue on your disloyal and disgusting path set by those like Kalenz will see you lead to our sword, and there, you will not survive. But against him? A chance for redemption is offered. If you wish to be spared, look away from the current leadership, or out of mercy to those you would persecute, we shall strike you dead. Not just you, but those close to you, and the buildings that house you, and the walls that defend you. Like a righteous hammer slamming against glass, we will obliterate everything that is under your nation's name, and the most dangerous resistance we expect you to offer, is the debris from the carcass of your nation flying outwards from our attack as your struck. You have the opportunity to lay down your sword. Ignore it, and we shall put not just you down, but everything you hold dear. Consider this the most generous offer you will get." Copies of a letter are given to the captives to bring to the Silver City. To those refusing to hold it, have it nailed to their hands. https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/123636-an-order-to-cease-and-desist/ EDIT: (If you wish to RP as a captive or captor in here, you may, assuming you have a persona that was involved in the conflict.)
  10. Meeting people, picking up on the stories of the server that go unrecorded, feeling the passion of characters, or realizing the defeat they feel. Realistically, I just love seeing the characters coming to life, whether it's through emotes, or impassioned speech, I love seeing the personalities shine through, to be apart of the history as it happens. I also love seeing nation RP, whether it is the leaders working to cement there rule or struggle with decisions, or the people's grumbling or praise. I love anything that is restricted to the personalities of those on the server. That's when RP is hard hitting, and heart felt to me. When controversy is out of the window.
  11. If I became a warlord, would you become my bf? If not, what will it take for you to be mine? EDIT: Also, thoughts on Publius Bracchus?
  12. (Lot's of questions I just realized, just pick and choose!) As someone helping lead the military of Oren, more specifically the Akovian regiment, how do you reckon you'll be scoring the support of these men that you notice are largely loyal to their count, Duke, baron or whomever? Also, a quick speculation and semi rhetorical questioning: It will be very hard to play politics until your into power, especially if you're starting from a lower rung if any rung on the ladder. How do you intend on climbing above the competition, and how to do you reckon you won't get stamped on by those higher than you? Is it your priority to get into power, or is there something else you're hoping to do as well? One will most likely have to wait for the other, but is risking one worth pursuing the other? If so, which one?
  13. (I apologize, I just wanted some words in on it. Personally, I feel such a grand proposal would eventually be heard screaming out of the mouths of men or women on either side while being put on crosses by Savoy, asking for clemency, or something like that, but it's still technically meta. Didn't intend on using it in character, I just wanted to say my peace. TBH, the elves are only going to be better for your guys' support, especially considering, as you said, your fabulously successful raids and such. But I still see us winning, as we've done before.)
  14. "Never said they weren't effective, just funny that you get to fight the same war, for double the pay! I am not against it: The silver city is the only one losing in this partnership." Smiling broadly, he continues. "Didn't make the difference at Drakenburg, I reckon. At least we left Heibenall with men, never mind a majority."
  15. Publius laughs, hearing of this new arrangement. "The high elves are really willing to blow 45 000 minas? They're already on the job! Didn't help the Dwarves much, why do they think they're gonna be an exception? By the Creator, those mercenaries know how to make an easy buck..." Shaking his head, he still gets a good laugh any time he thinks about it.
  16. Happening across the letter while filing a report for the 2nd regiment, he takes pause at the note, frowning deeply as he finishes reading. "A gentil people... By the Creator, why of all men, do these ones have to be pagan's? Oren would be better with these men close at heart, and these men better off protected by her... Quite misfortunate are we both to have to be the other's enemy." Shaking his head, he leaves the report, thinking on what he read.
  17. During a visit to Cerulin, Publius see's the artwork of one of these posters and is drawn to it. He smiles at the picture, until he realizes it was sent by the Silver cities leadership. Enraged, he does the people a favour, quickly stamping it into the ground. "You think we be hypocrites? Did you not kill our leader because we demanded you stop killing these people based on race and purity? This is head spinningly disgusting, and I don't expect men and women who have fought hard for their freedom to latch themselves onto the sinking ship that houses their old oppressors. They did want to negotiate the terms! But you would not have it then, only now, when you stand alone in your spiteful, backwards ways! Oren is supposed to be the deceitful one in all this? Those damned Silver city leaders started this by having our king killed in a diplomatic talk... Disgusting." His mood ruined, he quickly seeks out citizens to ask them about any actions against them from Oren, and sets back off to Petrus to inform his men of this latest, and most laughable propaganda.
  18. Gonna write a book in character about the war with the dwarves and everything that happened during it when it's all over. Anyone interested?

It'll probably be titled "Uru-Oren war, 1493 - (end year)" and just be a general history, covering from the invasion of Leyulin, the death of the king, and every major development. I don't reckon I'll charge even!

  19. "Had your people any morals, any value to life, we would have resumed being allies! I guess we were ignorant to think high elven leaders were also of a high mind. You and any who agree with what you wish is scum, like worms in a dead tree. Prepare to feel the heat of justice as we burn you out of your home, and to go up in smoke with it."
  20. Spitting with rage as he catches wind of this grumbling, he simply retorts, "We were allies, tried and true! But a brother means nothing to you, ask the men and women of Cerulin. What fools we were to think a brother-in-arms would be any different!" Sneering, he continues quieter. "Perhaps your "Culture" is in need of subduing... If that destroys the scum that killed our great king, then I see only benefits to such a thing."
  21. Near the gate of Petrus, an officer of the 2nd Akovian Regiment, Lt. Publius Bracchus can be seen yelling furiously, his arms flailing about in rage as he speaks to some of his men, civilians and the like gathering to simply see what all the fuss is about. "There is no time in history where such treachery has been recorded! To be so wretched must have taken many years of practice, and by the Creator, they will pay in more than just gold, we will have their blood! We shall smash their iron! No more shall we make deals with racist, backwards peoples..." Publius' hands begin to tremble with rage as he paces, yelling not to the people present, but to the heaven's, as if calling for divine retribution. "Let it be known that King Andrik Vyrda was not slain by some slow peasant, not some known enemy, but by the hand of the leadership of Halun'or! Their moral and diplomatic guide sentenced our fair king to be killed, not in combat, but by a trap without warning! What would move people to do such a sick thing bewilders someone just at face value, but being there, I can tell you personally what we were doing in Halun'or: We were offering them a garrison to help defend themselves against Orcish raiders... We were offering to lend them our men, to risk our lives and drain Oren of more blood, for Halun'or's people! How can one hear this and not be disgusted by Elven conduct? Looking at this now, I am personally struck even deeper by the irony, as the late King, Andrik Vyrda, asked me personally to lead the force defending Halun'or from the dangers they faced! To be honest on the subject, I will still lead those men... But in defence of something much greater. These men will be lead in defence of Oren's honour! In Andrik Vyrda's name! We will lash out and deal a death blow, and we will not accept gold, nor land. No, we will draw their blood, and we will shatter their iron, for we will strike truer than anything ever seen, Creator willing!" Publius slicks back his hair, pointing out to the crowd now, his face a deep red as he furiously wags his finger about. "I promise you, great Oren, that retribution is, and will be served! Today, in response to the treachery, we quickly slew many of the cities inhabitants! We were so slow to realize the vile nature of these beings, much slower than our grand Wood elven friend of Cerulin. To my shock, after the near sacking of Halun'or, the men turned on the inhabitants of Cerulin! The mortal enemies of Halun'or, the men and women that fought our kings killers now, and even before his death, were turned on by the Orenai legion! Thank god for their willingness to forgive, I spent many hours informing men of the difference of the elves, and I beg you do the same Oren! For our sake! For the sake of Orenian honour, and the honour due to our late king Andrik Vyrda! Do not let your grief blind you, and impair our efforts for retribution!" Beginning to calm down, he stops, facing the crowd, his face losing its colour, and the zeal behind his words turning to passion. "There is only two words that are to be used in describing the High Elves leadership: Deceitful, and disgusting. How they could do this to us is unfathomable, but in light of it, I pray that the Creator gives us, and our Wood Elven brethren the strength to obliterate them in the coming months! Forget not though dear friends: War with the Grand Kingdom of Uruguan is still about, but fret not: There is never an opportunity to take us down, they are snakes, and we are men! We will see the vermin eradicated. Not defeated, not destroyed, but utterly eradicated." Taking a deep breath, he finishes his speech, keeping his voice raised. "Oren has never faltered, nor will it. Let's teach our enemies this lesson."
  22. Publius is beyond shaken at the incident "Retribution... RETRIBUTION!" In a fit of rage he cries out, tossing his helmet to the water as he begins to sob, imagining what he could have done to prevent the treachery...
  23. "Interviewed and accepted in person. Expect to be armed and fitted shortly."
  24. (I'm pretty sure it'd be hard to mistake Faolain bodies among dwarves anyhow for anything less than Faolain bodies, and since they're the only hold in the North the has been resisting our demands blatantly, and not helping us militarily in the first place, it'd be impossible to trust them. The finger of suspicion would lie on them. Also, I'm sure Faolain's have some characteristics that are undeniable, especially when you put in not just a token force, but a load of men. The rest of the north can account for their men. To put it simply: You're paying for what you did, trying to use a cheap trick to deny us the chance to make you pay. No matter what guise you hide under, we can easily pry it off you while you're rotting in piles.)
