  1. In Defense of the Mother Grove A Recount of Combat against the corrupted bear-mani, Bolomormaa. Written by Elyndra Tathvir and published across the realm. Beneath the boughs of the Mother Grove, where roots run deeper than memory and spirits linger in every leaf, a horn was sounded. Not for ceremony, but for battle. They had not come as conquerors, they had not come as beggars. The Ivae’fenn came as they always had, ironclad and eternal, bearing weapons passed down from times long before them. Summoned by kin across the continent, Aeriolaneth called for the aid of the mali’fenn in the oncoming raid from Bolomormaa, the corrupted bear mani, a demi-god. Yet before steel could meet fur, before being granted entrance to join in the defense, there were… complications. At the grove’s edge, the Ivae’fenn found themselves halted. Not by enemies, but by the rigid customs of Kurai-Kuni. Samurai stood firm, questioning their presence, their purpose, their right to offer assistance upon their sacred soil. Still, the Ivae’fenn did not stand down. Where lesser companies might have bristled, the mali’fenn held discipline. Words were exchanged, tensions tested, but never once did they falter. Beneath the scrutiny of foreign eyes and laws, they stood as they had since Asulon. A shield was offered to the Shugo, bearing the Wyrvun sigil of Fenn, showing their intent to fight was clear and unmuddied. When at last their worth was being weighed, thus came the sound of a horn. The Mother Grove was under attack. A deep, guttural cry that cut through the air, to which the Ivae’fenn ordered into motion: “RIVIR! KAI SURAE FEMER! TOR'VHAI!” Called Emaelia in Fennic tongue, those soldiers of the Ivae’fenn falling into formation and marching with haste toward the ferries to return to the mainland. There was no panic, no scrambling to be found as boots pressed onto dirt, as horses were mounted and soldiers rode forth. Even as warnings were issued, and weapons exchanged. When they arrived beneath the canopy, when the earth itself trembled with each monstrous step of the corrupted mani, the Ivae’fenn stood firm. They assembled into their respective cannons and ballista, working as one unit to man each weapon of war. Upon the upper floor of the tower stood Emaelia Drakon, Calenwyn Sylric, and Lathai II Ithrandos. The three manned the front and center ballista, landing not one, not two, but three total ballista bolts into the mani. When Bolomormaa raised a paw to strike down upon the cannons which peppered the beast on the wall, a well-placed bolt into the eye of the beast led to its attack being offset, tearing through the rooftop of the building and raining debris down upon them instead. On the lower floors were five, a rag-tag grouping of members: Aeriolaneth, The Harvest Druid, Hirano Haruhi, Celaena Drakon, and Elyndra Tathvir. Elyndra issued orders to those of the group, ensuring their smooth operation continued further, coordinating the new blood who had never manned a cannon before. When nearby cannons experienced malfunctions, she rushed across to quell the flames and rescue the injured. Harvest prepared the cannon and cleaned the bore, so that Haruhi may prepare the black powder and replace the fuse. Celaena loaded cannon balls into the cannon, while Aeriolaneth aimed and fired the cannon! Many shots found their mark within the battlefield, the array of cannons hurling down countless shells upon the beast. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! The air quaked with each bombardment, the sound echoing out across the continent as the bear expressed its fury and uprooted trees from the ground to fling at the cannons. It missed its mark, taking out the bottom floor of the building, and yet the upper floors were still intact. Elyndra tasked herself with moving the injured to safety, providing aid to those who were unconscious or experiencing bleeding, and ensuring the flames did not spread toward the black powder which was used to propel the cannonballs. With a downward strike the mani blasted away the ballista which Emaelia, Calenwyn, and Lathai manned. With their weapon disabled, two sought to retreat and regroup with the others while Emaelia ventured to the remaining ballista, bearing an ancient treasure passed down by her ancestors. A Thanhium ballista bolt was loaded, and with near perfect precision the bolt found itself soaring through the air and into the skull of the beast! THWUMP! With a roar of fury, the beast nearly toppled over as the foot it had poised to attack was forced to slam into the ground to catch itself. The sustained damage the tower had taken proved to be too much however, the ground beneath the cannons feeling increasingly more unsteady as time went on. The beast crashed into the building, knocking down those who continued to man the cannons despite such. A shout from Emaelia rang through the air signaling their retreat from the crumbling tower, echoed further by Elyndra. “WYRVUN IL'AYLU! GENERAL RETREAT, IVAE'FENN! GRAB THE INJURED AND REGROUP!” The Ivae’fenn fell back, regrouped, and formulated the next action. All the while Bolomormaa continued its assault, its paw striking down and instantly extinguishing the lives of three: The Harvest Druid, Kuroken, and Seiryu Taigen. Truly now, this beast had proven that it cannot be defeated merely with cannons, as despite sustaining such an onslaught of attacks it continued on.. Aeriolaneth himself had a plan, accompanied by few other druids, he sought to channel his druidic capabilities to awaken the Mother Tree however possible to fight the beast.. But Bolomormaa seemingly had another idea, its attention turning elsewhere, and in the midst of battle the bear mani simply left.. heading north west. Despite its departure, the aftermath of the battle was clear. Wails and cries filled the air, medics rushed to the aid of the injured while bodies were recovered from the rubble of the collapsed ruins. In the midst of it all, the Ivae’fenn suffered no losses, and no injuries. Faced with the Shugo of Kurai-Kuni, the Ivae’fenn were thanked deeply for their assistance against the beast, a token of their appreciation and an invite to enjoy tea within Junmura following all that being given to Emaelia Drakon. Elyndra Tathvir was envious of this, being quite an avid enjoyer of tea. With aid being rendered to those needing it, and a friendship between Kurai and the Fenn being forged, the mali’fenn bid their farewells before taking their leave to return to where they had come from to recount the tale of how they fought a demi-god and survived…

  5. [[IGN: Adelemphii]] Your name: Moonlight Would you be willing to financially contribute to such a cause? Yes Please, write some ideas you have surrounding such an idea: Perhaps a population based parliament which handles laws, trade, and shared policy. With a council of cantons bearing equal representation regardless of size which protects smaller districts and allows vetoing decisions with a majority vote. There should be an adjudicator/speaker of Parliament which is elected by all that oversees the process and breaks ties and enforces rulings using a centralized peacekeeper force. To avoid conflict, we could have a city wide lawbase/constitution which defines rulings and laws to be enforced, with smaller district lawsets that each canton is allowed to create and enforce- but it can be challenged in parliament if it contradicts with the city's overall laws and views. 11. "You act as if it's such a big de-" Her eyes caught notice of something, pulling the list from Emaelia's hands and scanning closely. "LOOK THERE I AM!" Hounded Elyndra Tathvir to a random passerby on the street, pointing at her name, amongst the long, long list of invited individuals.

  14. Kneeling upon the mossy forest floor was a girl whom had been born within conflict, raised through conflict, and lived through conflict. Tears dripped down her cheeks with soft patters in the dirt, head lowered toward the ground. Slowly she lifted her gaze, up to the cherry blossom she had grown in memory of her mother, the very being she had sworn to protect. The girl was but a shell of her former self, for every reason she had sought to climb alongside had left, or passed on. The Rokudō Temple had been torn down, her family slain one after the other.. For what reason is there to exist when you've failed in your purpose? It began to rain, hard. The rain blended with her tears, the girl gazing to the sky. Her hand grasped the hilt of the wakizashi at her side, drawing it with ease before pressing the tip of the blade to her stomach.. She paused. ... ..... ......... Silence filled the air, and when the sun rose, the shrine was left still. [!] The following letter would find their way into the possession of those Seisho Miyu had fond memories of interacting with... ((I do not have the energy to write everyone's names, if you know your character had met and known Miyu- feel free to assume you got this letter. If you're unsure, DM me.)) "Ohayougozaimasu, friend. Thank you, for everything you've done for me. I appreciate your presence, and I am grateful to have met you within my short life. Unfortunately.. I cannot find the drive to remain here, for I have failed in the one task I had in my life. Gomenasai, for leaving this way.. demo, I cannot see myself continuing. If you wish to speak with me, please come find me, I shall linger for a few days longer." - Seisho Miyu
