  1. The LC itself is free (unlimited), and 2,500 is just what's being added to have access to the unlimited LC which is provided as part of the application
  2. I think it's more so addressing the issue where the big 3 (Empire, Idunia, Koyo) are allied, and anyone that doesn't agree with them just gets warclaimed and conquered, then listed as KOS pretty much everywhere. They wouldn't be eligible for a lair because they're either too big or are a group that would generally be accepted as a public entity, but aren't able to survive under any of the current realms due to current circumstances.
  3. I believe that's already a part of it :) However when testing, it seems like it's an account-based cooldown when active
  4. "Maehr'sae Hiylun'ehya." an elf notes before wandering to gather more herbs.
  5. My Official Resignation 3rd of The Amber Cold, SA 266 Blessed mali'thill, I've thought long, and had quite a few nights where rest was all but a dream as I pondered the best course for our people. Through this thought, I noticed my own sanity waning, and myself growing stagnant. Knowing this would not further progress or benefit our people, I move to step down from my position as Sohaer. In my place, Veralya Wynasul has agreed to take on the mantle. She has quite a bit more experience with such things than myself, and the introduction of younger blood into our leadership is a necessary thing to bring our people further into this age. While my resignation may come as a surprise to some of you, I am simply stepping back into my old position as the Protector of the Eternal Library and letting someone with greater experience and direction take the lead. You will hear more from Sohaer Veralya soon, and I hope you'll treat her as kindly as you have myself. Stay safe in these tying times, and help our allies whenever you can. Laerean Sylvaeri, Protector of the Eternal Library
  6. Can we get this instead of the other Aeriel Frost Witch lore?
  7. Time for a proper feedback post! Let's begin with the foods and brews themselves. To start off, I believe the having food that gives effects is good on paper, but in practice this would only just be used in PVP. Previous feedback posts wanted less complexity, so while having this would add flavor, it wouldn't be a good addition in the long run. Simpler is better. All the other things such as Rarity, and the stats itself (hunger, perishability, craft time, etc.) are fine. Brewing also sounds good on paper, but we'll have to wait for a more in-depth post to get a full view on what it'll do, to answer some questions like "will drinking the brews restore hunger?" and so on. Finally, I would personally love a system that would allow us to propose custom foods and ingredients so it can not only feel like the community is able to say "Look! I made more food for us!", but so we can have a more fleshed out selection. People like @Murdervish and others with good cooking knowledge would probably love to have foods that are made with the proper ingredients in the proper stations. Onto farming and animal husbandry. As someone who did farming a lot back in the Nexus days, this is a breath of fresh air compared to what we had then. The idea of increased growth speed for certain crops in different biomes will, assuming people have reason to plant those crops, make for a very diverse trade system in that case. I don't believe crop speed should be where it stops though, and my two cents is that it should also have a much higher chance for higher quality ingredients when grown in the correct biome to further solidify a reason to grow certain things in certain places. While the idea of using the same models for certain crops sounds interesting, it could lead to unneeded bloat down the line when someone might think "Oh no, I'm out of grain for my bread! Guess I'll use some rice." which technically does work, but maybe it could be adjusted to show which grain was used, so you would get Bread (normal wheat), Rice Bread (Rice), Cornbread (Corn), etc. Maybe all crops start as "common", rather than having things as a standard, but keep growth rates the same, with a chance to get higher quality ingredients (I'd like some Legendary Orengrain). Maybe we can grow ingredients for hookah drugs, too? Depending on rarity we could get more wacky effects. Now for Animal Husbandry, I wasn't particularly ever into dealing with animals past breeding and culling. Apart from that, I do believe that on paper these changes sound both interesting and could lead to people keeping animals for longer to get higher quality ingredients (Imperial Waygu incoming). One downside to this however lies with the plugin that handles server loads, because currently I really don't see many animals around the map, or have seen any natural spawns recently so while we'd have all these fancy new additions, getting them would be much more difficult than you'd likely expect (please, do we REALLY need to have a plugin to deal with server load instead of optimizing performance?). Server load also makes breeding them much more annoying, because when their AI is off, you need to use a lead on both animals right after giving them the food to actually get children. I'm also interested in seeing how we'll be able to see what the species of the animal is, and its current age. Will it be something we do to the animal (like shift+right-click) to see their stats? Now for a bonus round, a miscellaneous question. If this plugin also eventually extends to Alchemy, would we have it so the potions have mechanical use, like we had back in Nexus? Would be funny to be in a warclaim and drop a bottle of Cockatrice's Breath into a gate room to temporarily stun those inside, or the attackers throwing one into a knucklebiter to get a reprieve from all the clicks.
  8. I'm almost certain you've not RP'd anywhere near Haelun'or in the last 1-2 years, since in recent times it'd been nowhere near as segregated or bigoted. The latter of which was in the process of being worked on, with both humans and other elven subraces starting to take hold in the playerbase before the city was "destroyed". In response to an earlier post you made as well, homosexuality was made legal and widely accepted in Haelun'or since Valindra was the head of state a while back. I won't argue against the elven supremacy stuff though, but I'd correct it to "High Elven supremacy"
  9. If anything, half of me wishes they actually properly nuked the Haelun'or build (erasing it from the map) like they said they would. Got demi-djinn'd then rolled back, and the people that spent months on it basically just have to watch as some other playerbase reuses it. I've got mixed feelings on the Empire.
  10. An ancient druid reads the letter, squinting. "I think someone messed up in this one's dedicancy by not explaining descendants as an invasive species that cause imbalances wherever they go - and that we, as druids, are meant to preserve the balance." he then shook his head, going to put the piece of parchment in a mound of mulch to decompose and return to nature. "Weren't these people also the same ones using unattunement as a political threat, and also threatening other druids with war? Not even during the days of the druid nation did such occur."
  11. Upon reading the missive, the Sohaer furrowed his brow, "They can have the city, the land, and the interesting mingling of druids and the followers of God, just keep Haelun'or's name out of it. That city is Haelun'or no longer - it is Aelwen, and trying to say they rule over us is objectively false." at that he crumpled up his copy of the missive before tossing it in a nearby fireplace.
  12. The time it takes to gather the same amount of resources being greater I can understand, but even for me it still takes a LONG time to break a diamond pick.
  13. Colonies and Settlements would go hard
  14. Personally I feel @Nectoristhad a good basis on their suggestion for greater player activity focus, but I personally feel like it could be doubled down on and made into a new settlement system similar to what we used to have. Lairs would still be their own thing, but here's what I think it could be. New Settlement System (4 tiers): Colony Starts as just a couple people in a tent camp with their own small region on an unowned tile. Small mina cost (like paying contractors to help build) and activity requirement to become the next tier. Settlement Grows from a Colony and is a less-developed city. Probably looks like a halfling village. Greater mina cost and activity requirement to become the next tier. City Basically a vassal, but not under a nation. Proper city things. If a nation wants to buy the tile, this tier must either become a vassal of the nation or be forced out by war. Nation Full nation status, must pay the amount required to buy a tile, and gains all the perks / requirements of normal nation status. Note that any of these could be destroyed, they're meant as a more dynamic way to let people do their own thing, and must keep a certain activity requirement or be demoted to their previous tier (or be turned into an abandoned ruin if it's a colony). It'd make the activity be the focus of the entire system, rather than some arbitrary amount of mina and signatures. This would also grant a great deal more freedom for people or groups who want to live in their own place outside of under a nation while not meeting all criteria for being a Lair. Also yes, that is a bit of a self-report on my side given current events, but I've held that standpoint on settlements and nations since I was on the World Team dealing with activity numbers in 2021.
  15. 17th of Malin's Welcome, 260 SA Blessed mali'thill, As the days pass by and the time rapidly approaches to the that of our city's predicted destruction, we came together today to discuss important goings-on. We have gained the safety of our people, and made plans as the Empire continues to hunt our kin. No matter what the Empire or the races of men do, we will survive. We will continue on no matter how hard it becomes. Our history and library archives will not be given away under any circumstances, but if copies are wanted in the future they can simply be asked for. I will admit, the depth of our purity has caused our people much detriment. In the assembly, we acknowledged this, and also understand that the past of pushing Purity onto others has created a great many enemies. To change, we must remember that our concept of Purity does not apply to people who are not High Elves. Furthermore, we are in agreement that we will strive to no longer push this onto others like humans do with their religions, because this counters our culture of progress and health. However, we should still hold those we consider pure in high regard, for they are the best of us and something we 'aheral should desire to be. On the topic of our culture, that being Maehr'sae Hiylun'ehya, we concluded that the demand to change it is to be refused. Its translation is "Progress and Health" in the common tongue, and asking someone to deviate from such a wish to others is absurd. I urge you to think about the implications of such - for if you aren't wishing others good health, prosperity, and the betterment of their lives, then what else can you do except wish for the worst to come to them? That idea is fine for enemies, but not for those you consider friends and family. Though we lack a homeland for the time being, we stand united - our bonds unbroken. Thus, we announce the founding of The Silver Enclave of Len'miruel. From here, we shall come back stronger and better than before. Maehr'sae Hiylun'ehya, Sohaer Laerean Sylvaeri, Protector of the Eternal Library OOC NOTE: This is directed towards High Elves, and sent to them as a missive.
  16. "Weren't the Azdrazi cleansed of their corruption and have been fighting against both darkspawn and dark mages?" The Sohaer queried, "Either way, the High Elves stand with the Dwarves of Urguan and the Orcs of the Horde against the Black Church and the Mystics" Signed, Sohaer Laerean Sylvaeri, Protector of the Eternal Library
  17. The Denouncement of Terrorism 5th of The Amber Cold, 259 SA To the Empire, and Idunia (( @Tide1@Lenny)) I send this message to give you absolute certainty that what remains of the High Elves do not side with any terrorism that rogue agents of our kin do unto your people, and we ask that you punish them to the full extent of your laws. We disavow any such person that commits such acts against the Empire and Idunia, as we desire not to do unto you as you have done to us. We are better than answering blood with senseless blood. This is only a short missive from myself to you, and I pray such acts aren't done unto you - we are better than such actions. To my people, it is unwise to answer blood with blood. Our race is long-lived, and our memory is deep. If we answer in this way, we will never survive. May God guide you all, and Larihei guide my people, Sohaer Laerean Sylvaeri, Protector of the Eternal Library
  18. The Silver Massacre 21st of Sun's Smile, 259 SA Blessed citizens of the Silver State I write this missive today with a heavy heart, reflecting on the events that brought us here. Like many of you, I have felt grief for our city, and rage towards those who have wronged us. For those of you that may have been away or unaware, our city has been dissolved and supposedly an Aengul is set to destroy it in nigh six elven days. What led us here? Simply, it was ignorance. The ignorance of those in charge which let a den of Mystics fester beneath our city, which our protectors and the Empire discovered, yet rather than inform us of the danger, they saw fit to storm our city and destroy it themselves - but that was not all they did. This den of filth had ties to the Sohaer's own residence, and the barracks that Okarir'sil Antelian oversaw. The implications of such leave a vast majority of the fault with these two individuals, the former of whom was removed from his position. In this judgement the Idunians, who had vowed to protect us from threats, saw fit to bring all 'aheral present to center-stage. This included children of whom bore no fault in the matter. This group was then, from eyewitness accounts, slaughtered without remorse. Why, I pose to you, would someone who swore protection to a citizenry who more or less followed their laws when they were aware of them, decide to murder the innocent like barbarians without honor? Then they saw fit to censure our culture. Further to that their librarian saw fit to approach me personally and demand our library's troves of knowledge - I refused. They may censure the 'aheral culture, but they will not take away our identity and histories. We will not forget what they have done, and we will not forgive. Know that this is also not only us that they direct their hatred towards, but all elves and races not born of man. This hatred will not stop until we are all dead and buried, but we will continue to exist long after they have crumbled to dust. As for the what remains of our council's state, Acalmaehr and Antelian's ignorance forces us to no longer allow them to hold an office. This leaves Okarir'maehr Laerdya, Okarir'akaln Lenniel, and myself with our Tilruir. Recovery will take no small amount of unity and diplomacy, but I have faith that we will endure. Now I write this to you all, the leader of a people without a home. This is not the end - we will rebuild, as we have before. The corruption was purged, and now we must stand together. Where shall we go now? To answer that I would like to speak with you all in person. Send me a letter, and I hope to talk to each of you in order to better guide us to a safe haven. That is all from myself, as I wanted to make everyone aware of recent events, and I hope to speak with you all in the coming days. Larihei guide you all. Signed, Sohaer Laerean Sylvaeri, Protector of the Eternal Library
  19. As soon as Laerean saw this edition, he quickly made a copy and stored it away. Another addition to the priceless trove of knowledge he bore the burden of safeguarding. "I'm glad this came before the missive I plan to pen. It gives some context to the senseless violence our people suffered. Now we share this experience with the people of Norland."
  20. The Okarir'indor is awoken from his slumber by news of this missive, frowning. "Didn't even mention my own or Laerdya's cooperation from our arrival? Man, that's a bummer." ((On an OOC note, if you're going to call all officials to something this urgent, please ask what our schedules are. I was not thinking I'd need to spend 7 hours of vacation time to leave work early today.
  21. Am I just reading this wrong or is this a dark CA (Frost Witches 2.0), that has Aeriel (a notably VERY holy deity) as a patron?
