“My resolve does not waver. We will not treat with the Valah,” Lyemar would speak softly, his words directed towards those who would be gathered in the Irrinite throne room. “Countless times have I been given a dream of a ball where I dance with a lady of our peoples. Her face forever changing as the dream progresses and we glide across the smooth stones of the hall whose pillars depict the history of our peoples and supports a ceiling of life.” He would pause for a moment, seemingly recalling the details before going to describe them. “Though as of late her face becomes ever clearer and her soft whisper of a voice grows more familiar. Her words whispered between the notes of the music that fills the air urging for us to continue down this path that we have taken for it will lead us to a most blessed state. To put our trust in herself and the Father, for the Aspects would not lead their children astray.” “Worry not brothers and sisters, we are blessed.” Lyemar would finish, falling silent soon after.

Events aren’t about items. Who gives a **** about some pixels lol

Bold of you to assume this. Most playerbases are often put on the backburner and left to sit there. From my own knowledge and experience, I wasn’t able to attend many of the voidal events because I was still at work when they were scheduled for. However, I had a good many of my guys attend and try to take part in them. As it went on, those who had a leadership position in the eventline had less and less fun. It was getting to the point that I would log on after getting home and pop into the VC to be told that it was **** and a waste of time. That they would rather be doing something else. So that’s what we did. We just dropped out of it all because we weren’t having fun and didn’t feel motivated to take part. I think that eventline saw all elven nations drop out of it. They couldn’t retain any of the human groups even after assaulting one of their kingdoms directly. Dwarves were nonexistent. Orcs were nonexistent. Really from my perspective it was a druid and paladin event. As for the note about getting lots of PMs. When events go on, we usually tell everyone to get into VC and have the vast majority of our guys in there talking with us. If you want effective communication, reach out to me and I can tell my guys to shut up or explain ****. I can also communicate what my guys are saying to you so you only have me DMing you and filtering it.

Internet safety, the safety team, grooming, and you.
Kaelan replied to Eurielle's topic in Miscellany
I agree. It should have never come to us having to release those threads. But the system failed us massively and our hands were forced. However, I don’t believe that a team picked by the chairman who has already proven himself incapable of handling these cases while maintaining a position that has him calling the shots, will solve the glaring issues that led to that system failing. Meaning no offense to you, but you and your team are paraded around as being representative of the community. Yet I was unable to voice my opinion on who represents me. The staff was unable to voice their opinions on who is on the team. I heard your interview list got leaked and there are individuals who have engaged in the behaviour that leads to these bans on that list. Disregarding the petitioning of the community for their opinion will be disastrous. We had no sway in who is on the team. We have no trust in the administration that continues to remain in a position of shot calling. And we have issues with the members of the team put forth. I don’t believe Telanir meant any harm in what he’s trying to achieve. I really just think he’s dumb and incompetent and that will lead to the failure of this system that has had a single strip of duct tape put over it. -
Internet safety, the safety team, grooming, and you.
Kaelan replied to Eurielle's topic in Miscellany
The administration is meant to be the top of the chain. The most competent members of the staff who are charged with the responsibility of running the rest of the team. However it’s quite obvious from the past recent incidents that this is not the case. While a lot of the blame for the mishandling can be shoved off to Pun who was outed for her ERP with a minor... Telanir is the main focal point of blame in my own opinion. Policy from what I recall from my days as moderation manager is that cases of disturbing nature such as grooming and pedophilia is to be referred to Telanir. Telanir then can elect to delegate the case to members of his administration if he is on one of his many hiatuses or does not believe he is needed to handle the case. I saw the administration, and thus Telanir himself or by proxy, fail to take appropriate action time and time again. For two weeks a minor that had been jailbaiting (pretending to be of legal age when they were in fact not) for ERP and forming personal relationships by utilizing LOTC as a means to achieve such, was not banned. Despite overwhelming evidence where more than half a dozen players were interviewed and provided proof, along with evidence submitted by myself for the case... They refused to suspend her account. It took me getting fed up with the situation to take the steps to suspend her account. It then took several more weeks of what appeared to be Telanir doing nothing (as told to me by the administration I was communicating with) to finally give the obvious verdict. Their account has been banned until August 2021 where they may appeal their ban and return once more to the server. In the case which was the first of two topics in my thread which can be found here... Telanir took action that left a sour taste in the mouth of many when this case was reported the first time. Other than my conversation with the player in question, all evidence that was present on that report had been submitted to Telanir prior in a report from the player involved. The blatant petitioning of a minor for ERP from someone who acknowledges it as being wrong was met with a shadow staff blacklist. Their access to LOTC was not suspended. They weren’t barred from utilizing the server like they had been proven to be doing to connect with these individuals. It took a public thread for proper action to suspend the accounts of the player in question to happen. Where Telanir paraded around that he was making change by bringing forth investigation bans as something new, despite the policy existing for several months already, and claiming that new evidence that changed everything was brought forth. In the second case, this was handled by Pun and thus Telanir cannot be blamed, save for his inability to pick competent administrators who cannot protect players. Screenshots weren’t provided as the player on the receiving end of the abuse requested that they not be shown and we wanted to respect that. However the manipulation, gaslighting, and clear manipulation made many of us who were working on these reports to feel physically sick. The verdict on that? They wouldn’t touch it. “Just block them lol”. Nothing about restricting their access to prevent further victims. In response to this thread put forward by myself and several others, the administration put out their own responses. For those that don’t know, the policy of an administrative response such as the one received requires the administration to vote on it. This can add delays to a response coming out because one person may hold it up either due to being absent or wanting changes made. However once the thread it put out, it’s put forward as the collective, universal stance of the administration. And you know what they did? They dismissed the threads as rep farming. It wasn’t because of their failure to provide proper responses to the reports originally received. It wasn’t because the only avenue provided to us was to make the threads and force action through outrage. It was because we were wanting to up our rep ratio by capitalizing on the outrage of players. Though things have changed right? They’ve learned from their mistakes? You would hope so. But that’s proven to not be the case. In a more recent case that saw a moderator removed from the server for exchanging photos with a minor at the time, we saw the moderator banned from the server. We also saw a player from a secondary report involving the moderator banned as well. We however did not see the minor who had involved themselves in the situation and exchanged photos with the moderator suspended from LOTC. A player with an extensive history and has openly admitted to actively jailbaiting. With all of this in hand, why should I trust a team run by an administrator who has proven himself to be incapable of handing these cases? The answer is obvious, I can’t. For a team that remains unaccountable and continues to make outrageous errors... While in a way that I agree should not be the avenue we have to take, public reports and appealing to the server at large to get proper action taken is the only way to ensure accountability. -
The Seventh Assembly of the Omentahu Brothers and Sisters of Irrinor, Our realm has enjoyed relative stability in the last twenty-two years of my reign which shall be marked with the assembly of our most blessed Omentahu. Though these years have not been without turmoil. Memory recalls the uncertainty that was felt when I took over the reins of Irrinor from the Twin Princes to usher onto the Mali’ame this new age of unity and strength. It recalls the times of conflict with our cousins. And it recalls now most recently the doubt in our future cast and the placement of our Seeds. As such, I call forth the Seeds of Irrinor to gather in our most blessed Forest Realm to form the Seventh Omentahu of Irrinor. Summons are sent to the following, Chieftess Leilani, the Blessed Descendant of Elenwë of the Sovereign Seed of Aureon. Autumn Prince Mikaeil and Chieftess Layla, the Wildcats of the Princely Seed of Arvellon. Chieftain Artanis and Chieftess Allora, the Stags of the Caerme’onn Seed. Chieftain Kalius, the Lion of the Tresery Seed. Chieftain Skylar, the Hummingbird of the Taliame’onn Seed. Chieftess Lillith and Chieftess Kyral, of the Winterleaf Seed. May you walk down the most blessed of paths by the Aspects and by the Mani, Signed, Lyemar Aureon, Blessed Descendant of Elenwë, High Prince of the Forest Realm of Irrinor, Sovereign of the Mali’ame, Protector of the Hou-zi, Emerald Prince, Chieftain of the Sovereign Seed of Aureon, Brother Red Panda, High Priest of the El’Narnsae’ame, Head Druid of the Ame’ikurn.

James2k is a very smart man So I did some number crunching If we assume that characters age at the same rate as we do which I derive from everyone RPing pregnancy as being 9 months... The LOTC year is only 168 days. That means an LOTC year is about half an IRL year. Which means that your character when they’re 18 years old in LOTC years is is actually only 8.28 years old in real life terms!!!! We need to ban everyone who has ever FTB’d on LOTC.

Before the proceedings had begun, High Prince Lyemar Aureon would make his way into the lodge. Following behind the sovereign would be a small entourage of ‘Ame officers and Irrinite council members. A soft sigh escapes him as his emerald gaze pans across those who had already gathered in the halls as he strode forth. In a swift, effortless motion he brushes the layer of snow that dusted the various furs of elk, wolf, and kha that draped over a fine steel chest piece in place of fabrics of green and white. Sight of the Rex arm wrestling all that approached him would quickly catch Lyemar’s attention and the curious ‘Ame would make his way to the Rex. Perhaps the Rex would not recognize the ‘Ame that seated itself before him, locking hands. The battle of wills would go far better than Lyemar had expected, the pair being about even for several seconds before the ‘Ame would be outmatched by the Uruk’s brute strength. Tragically the back of the ‘Ame’s hand would touch the surface of the table, signalling defeat. Though he bore no shame as he would rise to his feet after being defeated, taking several steps back to return to his kin. It is there he would speak in a hushed tone to the Arvellon that had flanked the High Prince since their arrival.

"Aspects pray... The Valah want us out of their realm and beg for peace... Yet they drag us further and further into their affairs." Says High Prince Lyemar.

To King Peter III of Helena Signed and confirmed 1746 King Peter III of Helena, I write to you on behalf of the Elven Tripartite and her member states to address your most recent proposal. Quite shocked were we to receive an Orenian envoy, thinking back to the results of the most recent visits of the valah from your kingdom. Though I can assure you that your most recent envoy departed the Forest Realm of Irrinor whole and in good health. Lost for words were many ‘Ame who gathered to bear witness to the contents of your letter, rumours spreading quickly through the forest of an Orenian envoy and a sealed letter. Silent were they as they listened intently to the petitioning of the Orenian Kingdoms to our most blessed realm, my voice falling upon their ears as each word spilled forth, having broken the seal that held your letter shut. Solemn were many of their expressions as their minds called back to the events of recent years, to the last time the Forest Realm of Irrinor and Oren had met to discuss peace between our peoples. The words spoken by yourself weighing heavily in the mind of each and every one of us. Soon after a meeting of the member states of the Tripartite was called to give thought to your proposal of peace. The sovereigns of the Mali’ker, Mali’thill, and Mali’ame gathered in the halls of the Irrinite Forests to debate the merits of your proposal. Quick was a decision made; your call for peace was met with swift and unanimous rejection from the Tripartite. The Elves of the Tripartite hold no interest in forming a defensive pact with snakes that lay low in the grass, nor do we care to sacrifice the lives of our kin for the furtherment and betterment of mankind. To step forth to protect a people who cannot protect themselves is not in the best interest of the Tripartite. We shall not take up arms alongside those who wish to see our culture wiped from the history books, and to have our leaderships replaced with petty lords. This pact you have offered serves only to benefit mankind who will use the assurance of elvenkinds protection to press their influence upon the rest of the realm, as they attempted to do so within the elven domain oh so recently. We will not break the bonds that we have formed so that you may isolate us and our allied states so that you may put us under your boot. Signed, High Prince Lyemar Aureon His Excellency, The Archon Areon Velulaei’onn Sohaer Dimaethor Elervathar

TO MORSGRAD ON THE TOPIC OF LORRAINE, 1745
Kaelan replied to Ankan's topic in Arcas Roleplay Archive
Lyemar Aureon would look down upon the representatives of Irrinor from his plateau as the group returned once more to the Forest Realm from the Silver State. “Blessed be, Caerme’onns. You have represented the realm well in this matter of unity. Let us appeal to the Mother’s mercy in hopes that these Valah will do what is necessary to maintain peace.” -
High Prince Lyemar gives a firm nod of his head after having received the request from his Chief Advisor Ez'kiel Arvellon. “Send word to our cousins that an envoy shall be sent to represent the Mali’ame in this summit, llir.”
-
”On the matter of Eryn, he was not banished from the Forest Realm. Nothing has been drafted nor have the Forest Guard been told to see to his expulsion. Rather, if such is being claimed, it comes from falsehoods and lies spread by those not of our circle and not of our nation. Those who seek to sow the seeds of discontent and disrupt our most blessed realm as they have since the founding of the Naelurir. I hold no ill will towards them. But I do not hold any love for those who cling to a past long gone and reject change that comes to the outside world.” Lyemar once more would give a shake of his head at this before moving on. ”As you say, what happens within the Aureon Seed is the business of the Aureons. As is the rights afford to us and every other seed that resides with Irrinor. I hold no love for the man who goes against the core tenets of the family. Who turns against brother, never mind his own Chieftain. His expulsion from Aureon saw him without a home in Irrinor, and thus without the right to claim citizenship. He is welcome to go through the processes to gain citizenship should he elect to do so as he is not barred from doing so.” Lyemar would pause to let that matter settle before moving on once more. ”It does bring me much hope to hear that we may put this matter behind us and move on towards forging a bright future for our peoples, Andria. There is much work to be done and much to be drafted if we are to succeed. May the path of the Aspects and that of the Mani lead you to a most blessed place.” With that Lyemar slams the butt of his spear onto the stones that lay underfoot, the High Prince & the High Priest calling for an end of this challenge.

“To not possess the gift and demand the role of the High Priest is akin to having never lifted a sword and demanding to command a legion. Read and study as much as you like, Lioness. However, you will never truly be capable of understanding without experiencing the ebb and flow of nature that surrounds us for yourself. What you describe as having done and being capable of doing... The spreading of the faith, guiding others, performing sermons and rituals. To safeguarding the balance by fighting off threats and sharing in the pain and suffering of nature. These are the duties that a Priest of the Wild Faith is charged with upholding. You may break the norms by becoming a fully-fledged Priestess of the Wild Faith. The first in the history of the Priesthood. But you are the only one, surrounded by a mass of attuned drui’. As a Priest, you are duty-bound to serve our faith by appealing to those who do not share in the possession of our blessing. You are bound to fight alongside Brother and Sister against threats of disruption by creatures of dark origin and voidal creation. That is the extent of your duty and your knowledge. The Naelurir shall serve a purpose beyond the education of oem’ii. The numbers of Priests shall bolster and they shall one day mobilize to uproot what plagues this realm.” A soft exhale could be heard from Lyemar, paired with a slight shake of his head. “How are you, someone who is incapable of hearing the songs of nature that surround us, to be expected to lead those who can? You can not yet commune with nature, never mind engage with blight or enhance the properties of herbs. Yet there are those of us within the Naelurir who can. The duty of the High Priest is not to guide the oem’ii and those without the gift towards the most blessed of paths, though they are welcome to do so. They are instead responsible for the propping up of Priests of the Wild Faith and supporting their endeavours. To ensure that it is the Priest who is capable of guiding those outside of the Priesthood to their enlightenment. You are without the gift and seek to guide those who possess it. Outside of guiding the common-folk, you will find your efforts will fall flat. You do not have the experience, lack the understanding, and will not be capable of connecting with one of our order who acts as an extension of the will of nature. You ask of me to put faith in you and hand the Naelurir to you to guide us down this path of your choosing. A path you will walk blindly while guiding those who are capable of seeing. You are a scholar attempting to lead warriors, young Lioness. We do not yet walk the same path.” Lyemar would finish.
-
”Such is the burden that I willingly accept. I am not blind to where it is I direct my efforts, Andria,” Lyemar would state in response to the young Lioness. ”My purpose is to serve the people I have sworn an oath to. To guide them towards a future of prosperity. This includes matters of faith as it lays the foundation for our people’s culture. The worship of the Wild Faith is as old as the Seeds themselves which remain the backbone of our nation. I am not irreplaceable as you may lead us to believe as we’ve many capable Chieftains and Chieftesses.” “To address your concerns of the governing of Irrinor... We should count ourselves lucky that we have such competent members of the Oaken Council who act with my own authority. Citizens of our realm who we can lean on and depend upon in our times of need and turmoil.” Lyemar would pause after stating such, as if weighing several thoughts and planning his next words. ”You may not bare the gifts, and thus have no right to try and claim the title of High Priest without such. However, you have done nothing but excel in the positions given to you and impressed those above you. As such I will offer to you a compromise. Accept the changes that have been brought to the Naelurir and give up on your challenge. In exchange you will be granted the authority to act within the Naelurir and prove yourself capable of the role of High Priest upon your attunement. Surely this is acceptable, ti?”

Lyemar’s Response The sound that would emanate from the butt of the spear hitting the stone pathway that led to the Aureon manor would cut through the otherwise calm morning air. What early morning chirps of birds would begin to fall silent as the High Prince made his appearance, drawn out from the depths of the manor to the foot of the steps. One might have excepted the ‘Ame to look displeased upon receiving such a disturbance at this early of an hour. However, such was quite the opposite as he strode forth a handful of steps forward with a soft smile hinting on the corners of his lips. The light winds that rolled through the valley and cut across the plateau catching the red and blue robes that draped over him. In his right hand, a spear of ancient origin. At such a distance, it would appear to be like any other ironwood spear. However, upon closer inspection, it would be clear that the shaft of the spear bore extensive carvings that had faded slightly with time depicting a rich history of the bearers of the spear. Upon the flats of the blade, the Ame’lie of the Aureon Seed could be seen. A soft thud could be heard as Lyemar would set the butt of the spear onto the ground beside him. Standing tall, his posture straight as he heard the woman out. “You remind me of your father of who you bare much resemblance to, Little Lioness. Though I do not recall him being quite so passionate about the Aspects are you are now,” he would begin as she fell silent. “You are wise beyond your years, Andria. It is quite evident that you have spent the majority of your early life studying the faith that we share. For when most simply choose one path to walk and accept it as the truth, you have embraced the four of them to some extent.” He pauses, the fingers of his right hand that had been wrapped around the shaft of the spear flexing. “I will not disrespect you by casting undeserved doubt upon your knowledge of the faith. For it is undeniable.” “I do however reject the motion that put forth to claim that I have no idea of the burden that rested on the shoulders of Artimec. Do not forget, Lioness, in the infancy of el’Naelurir it was I who served beside what few Brothers and Sisters we had. Alongside the likes of Brother Wolverine, Sister Mustang, and the former Archdruid Sister Sparrow. All of who bore the Aureon name.” “I have served as many things and made many sacrifices for our people. From my days as el’Chirr of the Sirame, to Prince of the Dominion of Malin, to now serving as the High Prince of Irrinor. Throughout all of this, I have maintained my dedication to El’Narnesa’ame and put my faith above all else.” With each word spoken, his tone would soften slightly. Though it would still carry quite well over the plateau. “Artimec had immense weight put upon him by the burden of leading our faith and our people, but do not disrespect me in such a manner to claim that I know nothing of it when I witnessed it firsthand. When I shouldered that burden as well.” “You, however, have only borne witness to the fruits of our labours.” Lyemar would allow for another short pause as he allowed for his words to settle. A soft inhale would be heard before he continued on. “You speak of many drui’. However, more than half of those you mention are not of Irrinor or have only appeared a small handful of times since the settlement of the Irrinites in this realm. The children of Irrinor do not know the names of these Brothers and Sisters. Nor do these Brothers and Sisters know of the children of Irrinor. How can they guide us into the bright future laid out before us if they are not present within our realm?” As he spoke his emerald gaze would pan around the plateau and towards the city. “Those who you do mention that are of Irrinor have pledged their support. Chieftess Layla Arvellon and the Autumn Prince Miklaeil Arvellon both signed the missive, do not forget. Laurir Allora Caerme’onn has reaffirmed the stance of her seed on this matter and pledges their undying loyalty. Your own Chieftain of who you share blood with, Kalius Tresery who walks the most blessed path of the Emerald Way, has supported such actions.” As the last sentence wrapped up, his gaze shifts once more to Andria. “Out of the true Irrinites who have remained with the realm through times of turmoil, you are the only one who stands opposed to these changes brought to el’Naelurir.” “Young Lioness of the Tresery Seed, I urge you to recall the missive sent. I do not intend to hold the title of High Priest in an iron grip. I have made my intentions clear and will relinquish the title and position peacefully when there is someone more suitable to bear the burden.” “The young stag of the Caerme’onn who shares blood with the former High Priest Artimec shows much promise. As do you, former Chieftess of the Tresery Seed. The both of you, however, do not possess the gift we drui’ have. Perhaps you recall the moot held where you desired to put yourself forward for Archdruid... Recall at the time those who believed in you firmly advised you to finish your dedicancy and be attuned first. To be patient.” “I urge you to do the same. Heed the call within you to give up this pointless endeavour rather than continuing this fight and dividing our peoples further. Instead, continue your dedicancy under the Autumn Prince and receive the blessings of the Aspects. Join the Autumn Prince Miklaeil, Chieftess Layla, the Caerme’onns, your own Chieftain, and myself in bringing forth a brighter future for our people.” Lyemar would emphasis the last few sentences he spoke, wrapping up his response to Andria’s declaration.

To the Naelurir of Irrinor Issued the 4th of the First Seed, 1745 Blessed be Brothers and Sisters of the Naelurir, It has been quite some time since the Priesthood of the Mali’ame has gathered. Our groves have been absent of collective laughter, of words of praise, and of hushed tones speaking of our people’s history. I fear we have fallen stagnant - idle in our duty that we have sworn to enact. Sloth are we in the education of our kin on their people’s histories, in rooting out imbalances that threaten our realm, and in the guiding our people towards a bright future. Perhaps such a decline can be pinned on the withdrawal of the High Priest of the Naelurir in recent years. His sudden disappearance has left many without direction, wandering this tumultuous world blind and without guidance. Or perhaps the failing of the Naelurir can be placed with the division of the drui’ and the rise of the creeds. The Priesthood has failed to adapt to include those who have taken to either extreme: those who wish to praise and revere the Mani and those who continue to hold the Aspects above all. To have them exist in harmony through the common ground of the balance is necessary for our people. Brothers and sisters, I have given it much thought over the past few years. I have been a Priest of the Naelurir, guiding our people and teaching them of the elnarnsae'ame for much of my life. Since the days of Linandria, I have served alongside those who have dedicated themselves to the faith as I have. Yet many of them are gone, likely never to return. I do not advocate for the dissolution of the Naelurir. I advocate for quite the opposite. I advocate for the Priesthood to revitalize and serve a purpose in this new world, and for those who have sworn themselves to the faith and received the gift of attunement to once more resume their duties. I wish for our groves to be filled once more with songs of praise and talks of faith and balance. I find myself compelled to take action to bring this hope to fruition. As such, with an agreement between the two creeds of Irrinor, I step up to assume the position of High Priest of the Naelurir. A title that I shall safeguard until such a time that there is one amongst us who can assume the position. One who is to be unbiased in the ways of our faith, to accept our creeds and our ways, and to nurture the Mali’ame. One who is accepted by all. With this agreement, Brother Hawk Artimec Caerme’onn is relieved of his duty as High Priest of the Naelurir after his many years of service. Should he return to his kin once more, he shall assume his place as a Priest of the Naelurir. It has also been agreed upon as being appropriate for the Archdruids of the Naelurir to be relieved of their positions. Sister Raven Chieftess Layla Arvellon and Brother Moonlight Eryn Aureon are to assume positions of Priests of the Naelurir. Brothers and Sisters, many changes shall come to the Priesthood over the next couple of years. I do pray that you will support these changes and join us in our endeavours Signed, Lyemar Aureon, Blessed Descendant of Elenwë, High Prince of the Forest Realm of Irrinor, Sovereign of the Mali’ame, Protector of the Hou-zi, Emerald Prince, Chieftain of the Sovereign Seed of Aureon, Brother Red Panda, High Priest of the El’Narnsae’ame, Head Druid of the Ame’ikurn Miklaeil Arvellon, Autumn Prince of Irrinor, Blooded Herald of the Sanguine Fire, Chieftain of Wildcats, Brother Leopard, Priest of the El’Narnsae’ame, Chosen of Felixii Layla Arvellon, Architect of Irrinor, Blooded Herald of the Sanguine Fire, Chieftess of Wildcats, Sister Raven, High Priestess of the El'narnsae'ame, Chosen of Kwakwani
