Gaius Rosius var Ruthern, Baron of Marsana in the Kingdom of Balian reads the paper with furrowed brows of concern and annoyance. “It does niet look dobry for my kin in Haense to declare a crusade on a nation without consulting their Koeng first.” A sigh escaped his lips as he set the paper down upon his desk. The Ruthern of Balian crossed his arms over his chest as he then leaned his back against the table. “And here Y thought His Grace Aleksandr was a sensible man…Rather…his decision is making us Rutherns look bad in front of the entire world.” The Baron of Marsana now wondered if he will have to declare a proclamation of neutrality for the Balian Rutherns.

The Baron of Marsana, Gaius Rosius var Ruthern, reads the missive with a small smile upon his lips. This was part of his first task as attaché to the Lord Seneschal: help the city commission revitalize Atrus, the shining capital of Balian. "I can niet wait to see what the future holds for our nation! So far we are going down a dobry path of revitalization.", the young Lord would murmur. He then returned back to his desk and resumed his work; going over a list of possible candidates for the assembly.

Gaius reads the wedding invitation with a large smile upon his lips. His two closest friends were finally getting married. "As expected, congratulations Amity and Fran." He made preparations to attend their wedding and arrange a gift for the both of them.

“A quill is mightier than the sword.” The above statement, no matter how commonly used, rings decisively true when spoken. Through the recent conflicts and disasters that have plagued Almaris, it is imperative that we remember the persuasive effects that words can have. One use of the quill is to combine our thoughts into a gentle stream of words that form a beautiful and intriguing rhythm: a form of creative writing known as poetry. Ergo, House Ruthern of Balian invites all inhabitants of Almaris, young and old, large or small, to come to the Brown Bear’s Rest Tavern in the Kingdom of Balian and share their poetry in the coming four Saints' Days. The first part of the event will have participants share a single piece of their best poetic masterpiece to the audience, these works will NOT be judged. The second part of the event will provide a ten-minute window for participants to write a free form style of poetry which they will then share and be judged for by the audience themselves. Please bear in mind that anyone is allowed to be a participant or an audience member. However, if the participant does not wish to read their poetry, they may ask someone else to read it if they wish to remain anonymous. ROYAL EDICT OF BRUCCA 4th of Godfrey’s Triumph in the year of our Lord, 36 B.A The Kingdom of Balian, by and through counsel the Royal Chamber, and decree from His Majesty King Alexander I, hereby declare the dissolution of the Senate and formation of the municipal government of the city of Atrus, hereinafter known as the First Commune of Atrus. The First Commune shall be made up of three entities detailed below. The Supreme Assembly of the Lazzari, a council of six members, named Concio of the Lazzari, or Assemblymen and Assemblywomen, are tasked to be the legislative body of the First Commune of Atrus. The Supreme Assembly shall be elected every six years by the citizens of Atrus. The Supreme Assembly of the Lazzari has been tasked with the creation of new laws, city ordinances, and statutes which must be passed with a vote of majority. As the Supreme Assembly replaces the body of the Senate, it serves as an interim legislative government for the kingdom as well. With dispensation of the Magister, they can also create new laws and statutes that apply to the kingdom - these laws would require royal assent. The Supreme Assembly of the Lazzari has been tasked with the amendment of laws, city ordinances, and statutes which must be passed with a vote of majority. The Supreme Assembly shall be given a stipend of ten minas during the sixth year, at the end of their term. If a Concio does not attend the meeting, they shall not be compensated. If a Concio is not fulfilling their responsibilities, the citizens of Balian, by and through decree from the Royal Government, shall have the power to recall said Concio if they wish to do so. The Supreme Assembly shall have jurisdiction over city matters and departments. The Supreme Assembly shall have jurisdiction over legislative affairs in Atrus, except for that which the Kingdom of Balian declares the matter to be a national affair, then such jurisdiction shall fall under the Royal Government. The Supreme Assembly may request the guards in Atrus to protect their chamber but sole jurisdiction over the guards in Atrus shall be under the military and the Royal Chamber. The Supreme Assembly of the Lazzari is hereby granted charge over the City Charter of Atrus. The Supreme Assembly of the Lazzari is granted authority to amend the City Charter of Atrus with a vote of two-thirds majority. The Supreme Assembly of the Lazzari has been tasked with approving the budget of the Municipal Government with a vote of majority. The Supreme Assembly of the Lazzari is granted the authority to sack any member of the municipal government with a vote of two-thirds majority. The First Commune of Atrus shall be led by the First Syndic, and his cabinet shall serve as the executive body of the First Commune of Atrus. The office of the First Syndic shall be elected every six years by the citizens of Atrus. The First Syndic shall attend sessions of the Supreme Assembly to break ties and give assent to bills. If the First Syndic is not fulfilling their responsibilities, the citizens of Balian, by and through decree from the Royal Chamber, shall have the power to recall said Syndic if they wish to do so. The First Syndic is expected to serve as chief representative of the city of Atrus, and oversee the growth of its economy and traffic. The First Syndic is expected to name a Vice-Syndic to serve as his deputy in all matters of administration. The First Syndic is expected to name up to three commissioners in his government to aid him in specific departments of municipal service. This may include construction, the organization of fetes or other events and celebrations, management of the press and publications of the Commune, or more, depending on the changing needs of the people. The First Syndic has been given the authority to veto any law, ordinance, statute, or amendment which has been passed by the Assembly of the Lazzari provided that said legislation does not have a two-thirds majority. The First Syndic is hereby granted authority to banish any lowborn from the City of Atrus. The First Syndic is hereby granted authority to evict any convicted villain from the City of Atrus. The First Syndic has been instructed to distribute alms and refuge to whomever is necessary in the City of Atrus. The First Commune of Atrus shall have a City Clerk appointed to its chamber, to ensure the royal prerogative is maintained in the commune. The City Clerk shall keep records and overlook progress of taxation within the City of Atrus. The City Clerk shall maintain and safekeep the municipal ledger. The City Clerk has been instructed to take note of the containments of the City of Atrus’ storage. The City Clerk shall appraise houses and set house prices and tax prices-after discussion with the Procurator-accordingly. The City Clerk shall pay for and supply goods to the city of Atrus. The City Clerk is hereby charged with fostering economic growth and the maintenance of the trade grounds within the City of Atrus. The City Clerk is hereby tasked with creating a competent bureaucracy of clerks capable of servicing the City of Atrus. Wherefore, the First Commune of Atrus, composed of the First Syndic, Supreme Assembly of the Lazzari, and the City Clerk shall be the municipal governing body of the city of Atrus. Henceforth, the Senate, by decree of The Crown, shall hereinafter be dissolved. The Fish Lord of the South was enjoying his Halloween cookies with his apple juice. The many treats that he received were neatly tucked away in a special chest which he can share with all his family and friends. "May the people who gave us these wonderful treats be blessed with many fishes!"

Gaius listened intently as his sister Emilia delivered the news to him. His once innocent smile, which he had since he sat down at the table, oblivious to what Emilia had to tell him, now disappeared to a pale face of shock and horror. "Non...non that isn't true!" He shook his head in pure denial, doubting it all. However, it was of no use. He knew how it ended, his mother had been getting sicker day by day. The boy sniffled as tears pooled in the corner of his eyes until he couldn't hold it in anymore. "I-I prayed to GOD every night for Mamej's health...I prayed by her bed side..." The tears did not stop flowing from his eyes, nor did his sniffling cease as he kept on rubbing his face with the back of his wrists. "GOD lied...and Maman went away...without even giving me one final hug..."

As Almaris enters the middle of the fall season, The sea creatures are now beginning to migrate from the north to the south, searching for a much warmer home and thus the Atoll Grove bustles with activity and preparations for a fishing contest and cookout before the final celebration of the Pumpkin Moon. Among the Bustling Activity at the Atoll Grove, many of the prepared fliers and missives are carried away by the gentle fall breeze, making their way to homes, towns, forests and other areas throughout Almaris. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The fliers seem to be written in terrible handwriting…but at least they were legible! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- COME ONE COME ALL! TO THE ATOLL GROVE FALL FISHING EVENT! The Atoll Grove formally invites all the People of Almaris equally to come and enjoy a day of relaxation and celebration by the waters of the beach! There shall be a fishing contest and cookout hosted by the Fishermen of Almaris and yours truly, The Atoll Grove! As the fish migrate south during this fall season be on the lookout for big catches! You never know what you just might catch! Boat rides, canoe races and many more activities shall be held! Please come and relax with the southern druids and their fishermen fisherwoman, and fisherpeople friends! This is a great time for networking! Fresh food and drinks from the Bayou Beer Garden shall be served to all guests! TIME OF EVENT: The event will begin at midday and last until the dawn of night! (4 PM EST - 6 PM EST) Please bring your fishing equipment! If you do not have any, no worries! We will also provide them for you! Directions to the Atoll Grove: Please take the cart in Cloud Temple to South Hub. Find the path and you shall see signs with arrows leading to the Atoll grove! Make sure to cross the lily pad bridge when you come across it and continue following the path and you shall be there in no time!

Enderial reads the invitation his Maln had given to him. The young teen sounds out the letters through his lips, now finally having grasped a larger understanding of more complicated vocabulary and literary works, he was able to read the invitation with ease and enough practice. “Hmm…of course I’ll be attending! She’s one of my favorite Faeries!” The boy grins with excited anticipation as he then set the letter down upon the table and strokes his chin, thinking to himself. “I wonder what my mask should be…maybe I should make a mask of Ikur?” The boy then snapped his fingers as an idea came to his mind. “Oh I know! I’ll ask Maln and Haelun for help!” And with that he took the invitation letter with him whilst he eagerly went to find his parents.

My suggestion would probably be lost here for I am but a small leaf on a big tree but.... What about more odd flora and more fauna for the next map? A lot of the places in Almaris seem empty without any animals or any fantasy like flora like maybe giant mushrooms, glowing trees, or even cool looking plants that are the size of trees. I don't know if the server has its own texture pack or not but if it does then maybe more animals can be added to give the map a more natural vibrancy?

Alice was not born to a stable family however. She was neglected by her abusive Alcoholic father. Her mother tried her best to nurture and care for Alice but due to her Husband’s reckless and abusive tendencies, she could not do much. Alice’s father would often beat his wife and once attempted to beat Alice as well but he was stopped by her mother. Her mother plead that whatever punishment Alice deserved, Alice’s father should punish her Mother instead. When Alice reached the age of 7. Her father began drinking too much alcohol during the night. One night while Alice was in bed, she heard a faint thud in her parent’s bedroom. She opened her parent’s bedroom door and was shocked to see her mother holding a knife in front of her dead father. Traumatized by that event, Alice ran away from home that night escaping her mother. Alice traveled to Felsen and she ditched her last name. She declared herself an orphan and began to hang out with the other dirty orphans in Felsen. Alice soon learned how to beg and steal from people and also began to learn the harsh reality of the world quicker than other children. In her small satchel, she carries a compass, a pouch full of (Stolen) minas and a small imperfect wooden bear shaped doll which she made herself by carving a piece of wood.
