Nexus was a system I supported. @Telanir and @Llirdid an amazing job putting a fantastic plugin together and kept updating it.
Why did nexus fail. Nexus relied too much on supply and demand, requiring players to do one of two things.
1. Work together
Or 2. Start alting
Nexus can be broken down into multiple categories, but let's simplify it to three. Nexus crafting, nexus skills, nexus regions and nexus combat.
Nexus crafting required players to collect x amount of material and spend x amount of time crafting. That's it. A very simple and unique system that helped the playerbase stand out from other servers. Though, time impacted everything. It doesn't matter if you were making diamond shovels or quartz slabs. Nexus required you to wait for everything.
Now. Was it really that simple? No. Nexus skills complicated everything. You started off at 0 experience in every level. Without doing anything you could level each skill (fishing breeding farming etc) to a specified level (usually intermediate) before it just stopped leveling. You could set a profession to be your primary profession but then the max cap for your other skills would be decreased. Why were nexus skill levels important? They impacted everything from crafting times, efficiency of weapons, and even what you could craft. Darksalvo was an aengulic blacksmith who pumped out low weight gear for the order of st Amyas. Ryno2 ran around in one of the best Iron studded sets with a bow two shotting high elves. Let's not talk about travistas donkeys who could reach almost 8 blocks in jump height. Aengulic fishermen like aesopian could grapple up walls. Squirtgun the princess of sutica could fell trees with a single swing. Master enchanters and alchemists produced amazing goods. The issue is. When people see something is cool, they force themselves to get it.
This impacted nexus combat. Players blackmailed others individuals to get recipes for alchemist potions like alchemy fire and stone skin potions. Players spent ours auto mining to get iron to mass produce chain boots. Spreadsheets for maximum grind % were produced and used by players. The point of skills was to allow players to be unique but everyone wanted to the main character. It became a nuclear arms race.
Nexus regions had flaws. But it had a good system. Anyone could claim a plot of land. You had to have x number of hours spent on your region by players and you remained active. If you didn't. Your region was up for sniping by anyone. It allowed players to know where roleplay would be.
Tldr
Nexus had its ups and downs. But certain features should never return. Human greed ruined nexus.
I remember nations use to kidnap master blacksmiths to make great weapons to fight each other. Kinda like how the great bombard was made for the ottomans.
I remember guilds, and the apprentice system. And how peasants were valued because of their skills. Which all this made the economy really great to because it shifted so much.
I remember it, and prefer to remember the good memories of it.
My only issue, was the crafting times were very long, but also increased actual roleplay.

“Welcome Oh Ramadan, and wash over me the peace my tears cry for, and secure for me the security in knowledge of the passing of the test.”- Ibraheemc2000’s DuaHello Everyone, it has come to the time once more. I will begin by introducing myself, I am Ibraheem, I had been apart of the LOTC community since 2016, and ever since then, I had every Ramadan had made a post about Ramadan on behalf of the Muslim community of LOTC, and also give out a challenge to everyone on LOTC, which anyone can partake in. There is a few reasonings for this, one being is that during Ramadan many of those in the Muslim community cut down heavily with their activity on LOTC to focus on this month.
Edhem.. Now… HAPPY RAMADAN! ITS BACK ONCE MORE, LET OUT YOUR VOICE IN JOYOUSNESS!
What is Ramadan?
Now, What is Ramadan, and Why is it so important? First, i'll go into a small history, Ramadan is the month that Holy Quran was revealed, In this month, Muslims believe that Shaytan(Ibless/Devil) is locked up, and that all good deeds are multiplied by Seventy(70) and Bad deeds are removed, and to express the greatness of that, a smile is considered a good deed, So you bet we muslims be good deed farming where ever we can! Though what Ramadan is most known for, is the FASTING, We begin fasting from sunrise to sunset, in this fast, we do not eat or drink, nor partake in human desires(Adult stuff!) In this month, we turn our actions and efforts into memorization of the Quran and learning of Islamic studies.
Now, many ask, WHY do you fast, and to answer that, There is MANY reasons, but the most predominant ones are that we are improving our self control(for the sake of Allah), We are sacrificing our food and hunger to put ourselves in the position of the poor and Miskeen(A person who has nothing and CANNOT improve their situation without help), To teach Compassion and empathy, and our dependence on Allah.
Fasting BenefitsNot only this, Fasting in this certain way is actually SUPER healthy for you!(Do note, you are exempt from fasting if you poor, on your time of the month(women stuff), medical needs such as medicine or emergencies, and if you vomit and extra, please consult with your local imam for more details or look online, TDLR Fast if you are able, and do not fast if you cannot medically)
Fasting actually super healthy for you, a matter of fact in Ramadan, you are not supposed to have giant feasts, but small healthy dinners, and not overeat, a common mistake which takes place when fasting, because people fast all day and when they can break their fast, they go all in with a huge plate, instead they should eat small portions and healthy foods, this is heavily encouraged.
Now what does fasting do to the body if done properly? I'm glad you asked! This will make you self care people very happy, and those chads who like to go to the gym and get fit! When you fast in this way, it actually detoxes the body. Now here is the breakdown of each stage of the thirty days of fasting!
Stage 1, during the first couple of days of fasting both blood sugar level and blood pressure level drops, and the body begins the cleansing process, the first few days are the hardest as they are usually accompanied with headaches, dizziness, nausea and intense hunger.Stage 2, during the second stage, the body becomes accustomed to the fasting schedule, and the digestive system is able to rest. The Digestive system’s energy now focuses on cleansing the body and healing the cells as the white blood cells start to become more active. During this stage the organs start their repair process as well.
Stage 3, by the third stage energy levels will have increased, your mind is able to concentrate better, and a overall feeling of wellness, During fasting the body’s healing process becomes more efficient, and so the body repairs any damaged cells during this stage, during this stage the colon, liver, kidney, lungs and skin are detoxing by eliminating toxins.
Stage 4, during the last ten days of fasting, the body has become accustomed to the fasting process, your body becomes more energetic and you experience of improved memory and concentration, at this stage the organs are finishing up their healing process and once all toxics are removed the body is able to function at it’s maximum capacity.
These are just SOME of the physical benefits of fasting that will take place in the body. But your good deeds you do this month will feel FAR better than anything you do this month!
A Month of Self Improvement
Ramadan is a month of mercy, in this month we focus on charity and the aiding of all life, but most importantly Ramadan is a time of SELF IMPROVEMENT! In this month, Muslims do their utmost best to cut off bad habits, and straighten themselves up to be a beacon of Modesty, Honesty, truthfulness, and Good characteristics and members of their communities! To help explain, I will use a wonderful explanation I was taught a few years ago.
Let's say you have a cup of water, with a single leaf inside it and a spoon, The water represents life and habits, the leaf is yourself, the spoon is shaytan, if you start to stir the water, the leaf begins to follow the water flow, going faster and faster and going into more and more violent habits, but suddenly the spoon stops stirring, what happens? The water and habits slow down and then eventually stops, When the spoon stops stirring, you were able to collect yourself and stop some bad habits, and began to strengthen yourself, and in that time you collected some better habits(charity, kindness, empathy extra extra) but you only got one month to prepare for the ENTIRE year of chaos. So you need to start strengthening up, so when the stirring starts happening again, you do not fall prey to it again, and how do you do that? You remove some of the water, give it off, you don't need it, so when the stirring starts again, it can not twirl you around crazily like it did before!
Ramadan should not just be practiced by Muslims, a Month where you stop and think on yourself and your actions, a Month where you begin to improve yourself and start taking on good habits and dumping the bad habits, A month of charity and kindness and compassion, A month of humbleness and connection.
Message from Myself
With the the current events in the world, Wars, Suffering, Occupation, Genocide, homelessness, murder and profanity, Lets take this month, and look for a moment, and connect with our humanity, We see the news EVERY SINGLE DAY, and now adays, it doesn't even shake us when we hear of war, or killing of innocents, its like a everyday occurrence and now so normal it doesnt touch out hearts.. In this month, let us reach deep down into ourselves, and grab our humanity, and plant it into the ground, so it can grow to be a shade for those who are suffering. Let's take this month and become HUMAN again.

IN RESPONSE TO THE PUBLIC APOLOGY POSTED BY SAVOY NATION LEADER MILENKHOV:
We are currently in the process of analyzing the context in which your words and actions have affected the community as a whole. While we sincerely have and continue will continue to process your letter, we must regrettably inform you that you are your forum post is not acceptable within our community guidelines. For further reference, please refer to passage 214 of the Al-Bakarah, pasted below for your convenience:
We would, appreciate, in further interactions on the forums, that you would adhere to these holy words. Until these incidents are resolved, we regret to inform you that your car's extended warranty has been voided. You can continue to appeal to any moderation manager, or you can call our new Appeals Hotline at (<img src="><img src="><img src=">) <img src="><img src="><img src=">-<img src="><img src="><img src="><img src=">. Our offices are located in the undercity of Cincinnati, two sewerducts down from the depth grovelers. This is a cry for help.
Alright, So I will state, that I cant turn a blind Eye to this. First of All, you miss wrote the Surah in Arabic, which had insulted it's meaning greatly, second of all, you use our Holy book as a joke/insult against another human being, you should be ashamed of yourself, It may be common for your faith or culture to do such for your own sacred texts, but in instances such as this, for us Muslims, this is unacceptable, inappropriate, and upsetting.
The verse was that of relaying that
"Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while such [trial] has not yet come to you as came to those who passed on before you? They were touched by poverty and hardship and were shaken until [even their] messenger and those who believed with him said, "When is the help of Allah?" Unquestionably, the help of Allah is near." — Saheeh International[Translation version] 214 of the Al-Bakarah
How is this in accordance or even remotely related. We will note we are glad on your reading of the Quran, Mashallah, But do not use it to insult, or even joke in general. We Muslims are a honorable, and respectable people, but don't be mistaken, we are human beings, and we can become aggressive and angry, and ready to beat down any one who uses our Holy book inappropriately, So do not do such to aggravate us, for surely you will indeed regret it. If you did not know ask,Even @Milenkhov has the respect to had even come and ask questions in the past, if things related to Islam were appropriate or not. So how are you going to act better, when the one your Insulting is better than you Ya Ikwan.
To @Milenkhov @Mio @The60th we see your good intentions and your apology and send you a proper verse to you,"For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease [i.e., relief]." — Saheeh International[Translation version] Quran 94:5
The Muslim community on LOTC endures a lot, But WE expect better FROM THE MODERATION TEAM.We understand in the current culture and time, that translation has often been used as a joke, often seen with the Bible and it's translations.
But For Muslims we do not tolerate any insult or joke upon the holy texts, there must be respect to Holy Quran and other religious texts. You can not use it to insult or joke with such texts. You can not use anyone's holy texts in a insulting matter.
We heavily implore everyone in the community to take knowledge when given and utilize it for good, rather than using it in such a manner. We implore you to learn and respect one another. For respect is the basis of Humanity, to respect one another, and to be responsible. To learn from one's mistakes, correct it, and move on. Do not loom over past mistakes you had made, smile for it is a gift, a gift that you had recognized you had made the mistake, and made efforts to change one's self. So respect one another and do not use texts of such importance as insults or jokes.
We give the following Passage as a warning, to be mindful of what you say, and know that be mindful of your tongue.
Allah, the Exalted, says: ”Not a word does he (or she) utter but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it).”(50:18)
This is a warning and message for all whom are ignorant of the knowledge given now, you are now no longer ignorant on this, and if you choose to ignore the knowledge before you and not heed it and continue with such than you have become Arrogant, and know that Allah sees what you do, For Surely Allah will do what is befitting that of Arrogance, and the actions you commit.
Peace and Blessing be upon you all, my brothers and sisters on this platform. May you all live happy, and be safe.29 -

Derfy is terrified when the news reaches his office in the Basilica of Ex. Derfey.
The man had grown - the Dark Elf - into a ginormous biped, swelling with muscle and resolve.
Such was not uncommon; a dark elf with the strength of an Olog, and the brain of a Farfolk. It was horrifying for Derfey, the Pope of Anti-Canondom, to fathom.
They had attacked the diplomat and watched him turn into an eight-foot-tall creature, fleeing into their castle! He exclaimed within the deep recess of his own mind.
He could not blame them.
Naric hopes they dont cut themselves on that edge

The Sultan’s Assassination Attempt
A Dark elf From the Settlement upon Mount Hamza
The Day was a calm, blissful day, the sultanate’s people walked around the market, food was exchanged and the common rumors or debates were shared with scholars. Until a Diplomate came to the Oasis, they came insulting the culture, the Sultan, the women, and children. Though many were outraged the Sultan had kept his cool, merely giving the simple statement
“Please send another diplomat, one who is more respectful.” their diplomates left with food and water and protection. A simple argument over territory of mount Hamza, some band moved in upon it, and thus created talks between the two.The Sultanate did not expect what was to come next.
Another diplomat arrived yet this time A dark elf wielding Magic, they demanded for the sultan and spoke with him, they wished to see ‘demands’ of the sultan. Had their previous diplomate had explained, there were no demands. The Sultan welcomed them, giving them food and respect, informing them, rather than a dispute of land, they appreciated they moved on a mountain very dear to the Sultanate, as it being populated was a sign of respect. The Diplomat puffed blacked smoke and insulted the sultan by stating that ‘they will not respect the sultanate for they had done nothing to deserve it’ Something completely out of the blue. A guard mumbled a sigh on the recent aggression, but just then the diplomat threw flames to the sultan! A ASSASSIN! The janissaries sprung into action and defended the sultan’s life. They had escorted the sultan Away, and let the Assassin leave untouched. For even under the guise of a diplomat, the Sultanate shall not attack rather defend itself, and allow the cowardly attacker to leave untouched.
The Sultanate shall make this clear.“We had Accepted you in our homes with friendship, and you had attacked, insulted, and attempted to kill our sultan over simple hatred for the farfolk race. No demands of Vassalisation, No demands of taxation, No demands besides a simple request. Which was thus ‘Feel at peace, and welcome.’
Your people are no longer Allowed within the Sultanate, for your active aggression, for YOU had come to US, YOU had assumed we wished to conquer, YOU insulted US, YOU attempted to Kill US, and WE had been kind YOU.
May Allah change their hearts from their evil, and let them see a better mind of peace. We shall make this clear, We hold no aggression, any further Assaults and raids, shall be a declaration of war against the Sultanate, and request you send Aine Af Orvari, Past Amir of the Sultanate of Haria, to do diplomacy on your behalf.
Otherwise, Stay out, and NO SHAWARMA FOR YOU!”
Signed Sultan Qamar Al-Nabeel, The Great Sultan of Kharasi
Lord Protector of the Farfolk, The Glorious Falcon, The Great Uniter, Khaleesi of the Kharasi Desert, Breaker of Chains, Catcher of Kiddo’s, Wearer of turtle helmets
