I resonate with your struggle, sometimes I think it would be easier to be ignorant to the troubles and depravity of our modern world. I think the gradual moral decay is what gnaws at me the most. However in the end, ignorance is not bliss. It is incredibly easy to grow increasingly disheartened and almost nihilistic, I find that it helps if you discover and invest in what keeps you positively grounded. For me, I recognized it is the few genuine friends (and family) that I have, physical fitness, and a desire for faith, more or less. In the end we can only bide our time, but we can bide it wisely and invest in our futures, and the futures of those we care about. I'll put you in my prayers, friend.
