The Brahlin. ~<------------->~ Introduction: Inhabiting the Island of Ceru before the Suticans settled there, the Brahlin are a diverse, colourfull and extremely musical culture, composed of what mostly would call Farfolk due to the tanned colour of their skin. The Brahlin are always very social towards other cultures AND races, welcoming any and all with open arms and wide smiles. Religion: The Brahlin have three main Gods and eight 'sub-gods'. They are: Guerra (Geh-Ha) Brahlin God of War and Fortitude, he's said to inspire warriors in combat. Sonho Brahlin God of Time and Space, said to inspire all Brahlin scholars. Parceira Brahlin Godess of Love and Harmony, said to be the mother of all Brahlins. Sub-gods: Coveiro: Sub-god of Death and Pestilence, considered taboo amongst the Brahlin people. Most of the men are well built for their duties, but the women too have those duties when the men are fighting or out hunting, generating a generally well-built people. Clothes: The Brahlin adorn few to no clothes, mainly using small shorts made out of cloth and leather patches, the shirts being small tops on their necks and for women what looks like a modern bra made out of leather and silk. When it gets cold, they cover themselves in pelts, not using specific coats. Marriage: The Brahlin adopt a different marriage system, similar to modern day Iran's, allowing the man to have several wives, though unlike modern day's Iran, if a man EVER touches a woman unlawfully or outside said marriages, he'd have his genitalia cut off. Males can compete for one another's wife. Lets say someone has a lady you're interested in and you want to marry her, if you manage to beat her husband (not to death) in a duel, you may have said lady. Popular customs and traditions: Brahlin have two main traditions family-wise: The 'Festa de Quinze Anos' happens when the daughter of a Brahlin chieftain reaches the age of fifteen and the whole tribe throws a MASSIVE party for the girl. The 'Carnaval' is a musical and colourfull festival, where women do tradicional dances for the men and woman alike dressed in tribal clothing with colourful bird feathers. The Carnaval happens once every Saint's Week.
