Haelun’orian Mid-Winter Ball 8th of the First Seed, 1746. [OOC: The event is: December 19th, 2019 @ 4:00 PM EST] [!] A rather neat notice was posted almost all throughout the city, and most were located on doors of nearby housing units. Additionally, a framed notice was placed right on the doors of the White Stag Tavern. The bold title was eye-catching to any citizen strolling by, and the letter said as follows: “Ker’ayla, Karin’ayla all citizens of the Knowledgeable State of Haelun’or, A contribution to ensuring progress and life to the wondrous Silver City has come at last, specifically hosted by the kind Valliline Yllasalor. They have come forward and requested aid from the Okarir’tayna to host an end of the year ball to embrace the coming of Winter in Arcas. Lately, as we have examined in the city it has begun a hefty expansion in order to improve the living conditions of our people. Why not celebrate this apparent progress with a ball to commemorate not only maehr’sae hiylun’ehya but also the end of the year? Upon entering the barren lands of Arcas, we were all met with the blinding cold when escaping our previous homeland. The troubling era of starvation and worry comes to an end, as we remain victorious in the face of danger. This time however, we are met with an abundance of food and shelter by the hands of the Blessed Diarchy and the Okariran. Thanks to the fruitful efforts of Valliline Yllasalor, we are able to continue forward in order to bring our citizenry together and move forwards away from the previous worries our people have had. Look no further, the date for which the ball is to commence is during the 19th of Malin’s Welcome which will be in only a few Elven weeks. Come in elegant clothes, preferably bronze, pine green, and/or crimson red attire. You are permitted to wear ‘winter’ colors such as white and all blues. Individuals wearing informal clothing meant for solely work or clothing from a previous celebration, will be asked to wear a brooch that is meant for this occasion. This is meant to ensure that you are still within the theme of the ball. This ball will be featuring special items specifically from the lovely Valliline Yllasalor, along with unique items from the White Stag tavern. The beginning of the ball will be holding short speeches from various individuals, in order to announce important events and upcoming details. A toast to the Blessed Diarchy and the blessed citizenry will be absolute. The featured items will be premiered on the day of the ball, and brooches will be given out prior to the celebration. In addition to this Winter Ball being hosted by Miss Yllasalor, we will be including an additional event to end the ball. This ball occurs close to the recovered tradition of the Mali’aheral, the intriguing Eve of Larihei to mark the mid-winter mark upon the mountains of Mali’thill kind. This event is held as a remembrance of the journey taken to this very moment, and to bless the citizenry for the upcoming decades ahead. This means that we will naturally be giving out a multitude of random gifts to all citizens that attend this time. Feel free to donate items to the White Stag Tavern that are intended for this gifting season, however please keep note that only unique items will be stored and given back to the populace. Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya. Sincerely, Okarir’tayna, Uppori Visaj Laurir, Valliline Yllaslor 8th of the First Seed, 1746. [!] The note ended with the official stamp of both the White Stag Tavern, and the Okarir’tayna. -= OOC INFO =- [ Brooches are a Minecraft + RP Exclusive item. You may request one early.] [ We are looking for musicians! If you want to try performing, please let us know! ] [ Donate any unique rp items for the tree! We will be randomly handing them out to people after the ball.]

[Shelved][✓] [CA Race Lore] - Epiphytes
UmbreScye replied to Katherine1's topic in Recently Outdated Lore
[For some reason the quote button will not work for me, but for context I am responding to the comment about flammability from @Katherine1] Ohh I see what you mean! I understand that the creature is made up of living plant matter with water in its body, so it would make sense that even though it is a bit susceptible to flames it isn’t that intense to be considered a major weakness of the species. I don’t have any further questions or feedback at the moment, but thank you for responding quickly to my comment block haha. Good luck with the lore bud, I’m excited to see actual CA’s sprouting from this lore and seeing them around. -
[Shelved][✓] [CA Race Lore] - Epiphytes
UmbreScye replied to Katherine1's topic in Recently Outdated Lore
Personally, I really enjoy this lore piece and I think it is fantastic. I think the rebirth section is oddly beautiful and intriguing in a sense, I believe it would promote some very interesting role-play scenarios. I think this CA is very nice and well balanced, being susceptible to sword slashes and cuts in general is also a neat addition to the design. Being able to travel all over just to plant these seeds, could be a great opportunity to promoting unique role-play in various settlements. Also, the formatting is very well done and the sections are clearly labeled. One thing that I noticed in the beginning: “...They burn about the same as any well-hydrated plant”, perhaps you can add something about this in the red-lines? I apologize if I accidentally missed another detail on the topic of being flammable, but just for good measure it might be a neat thing to quickly go over. Also a question, if an Epiphyte was theoretically ignited on one portion of its body and happened to survive; Would the process for healing this burnt wound take longer or will it be the same time length as a severed wound? Perhaps the creature ‘sheds’ the burnt portions of its body? Maybe the body grows weak during the healing process? Again, apologies if I accidentally skipped something that is related to this question and idea. Overall, I very much like this lore and it was a pleasant read! I’m not trying to be incredibly critical of the piece since I really do enjoy it, but I hope my feedback helps a little bit. +1 -
[ ROLEPLAY ] [!] Each of the letters were responded quickly with a rather meek looking paper, it seemed to be hastily written. With a stamp directly from the Okarir’tayna, in a wonderous sea green color, there would be a unique note and a tiny piece of candy within the letter’s envelope. ”Dear Aspiring White Stag Employee, Karin’ayla, Ker’ayla. This letter would like to congratulate you on your acceptance into a ‘Trainee’ position within the tavern. Due to the sudden influx of letters, we have already allocated a time for your interview which will be sent immediately. Your application was above average, and wonderful to read, which has allowed us to begin with the interviewing phase of the applicant pool. Please make sure that you take a good look at the menu before attending the interview, and more information will be given to you in person. Once the interview is complete you will be allocated into one of three categories: “Bartender, Chef, or Waiter”, each serving an equally important role in the tavern. Ahernan for applying, and we will see you shortly for your interview. Sincerely, Okarir’tayna, Uppori Visaj 10th of the Deep Cold, 1742” [!] The letter would end with her signature, and a stamp saying: ‘ACCEPTED, please find Uppori Visaj’ [OOC] Thank you for applying, I will talk to you on discord!

THE OKARIR’TAYNA’s REMINDER TO THE CITIZENRY 11th of Malin’s Welcome, 1742 [!] A stamped piece of creamy parchment paper was left in front of various spots within the city, notably upon the doors of various residences. It was also scattered within the tavern itself, and it seemed to be rather important. With a bright red stamp of the Okarir’tayna, marked neatly at the bottom of the paper. The contents were as follows: “Karin’ayla, Ker’ayla, The lack of initiative to host events and begin clubs, in order to enrich the livelihood of the city, is appalling. As Okarir’tayna, it is my duty to establish a greater lifestyle within the city with the help of the community. However, the major problem is that there is a lack of individuals coming to aid the citizenry with events. As I have stated, I am here to aid the citizenry conduct their events in the easiest fashion possible. Be it providing them with materials, space to use, or even a helping hand. Yet, even with the opportunity to take initiative to conduct your own events, the requests for events out-weigh the actions taken for such. The previous Okarir’tayna worked tirelessly, almost every day hosting their own events the best they could alongside their Medi’ir. However, it is a grave misconception that the position of the Okarir’tayna is simply to host events as often as possible. Rather, it is the job of the Okarir’tayna to seek individuals in the city to help aid the cause of enriching the life of the citizens within these walls. A large, small, or even medium sized event that I bring to the table, will unfortunately continue to affirm the reliance placed under the Okarir’tayna position for these events. Ensuring Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya through hard work and dedication to the Diarchy, is something most within these walls will do every elven day. However, does it not breach the minds of educated ‘aheral that we must also pursue the goal to socially improve ourselves? Where are the ‘aheral forming their own clubs to pursue hobbies, the ‘aheral hosting feasts or balls for the Diarchy, or even to simply raise a toast to the current efforts within the city? They are not to be found, with only a couple sparing some time to enrich the social circumstances of our people. I call attention to our fellow Okarir as well, as much as their work and efforts towards Maehr’sae hiylun’ehya are appreciated, there is a lack in pursuing the improvement of social circumstances in the city. Along with the citizens, I ask that you also take the initiative to improve the social circumstances of our people, and enrich the community with various activities. Right at this moment, I am looking for multiple Medi’iran to aid in hosting events and setting them up. Please send a letter as soon as possible if you are interested. As this missive is pushed out, I am at work recovering our traditional ‘aheral holidays and traditions to be celebrated by all. Once this list is finalized and complete, I will begin to bring out more celebrations once more. When an individual comes to aid me in hosting an event, then the time will come when we may have another large event once more. Ahernan for reading. Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya Sincerely, Okarir’tayna, Uppori Visaj ” [!] The letter ended, and it seemed to be written carefully. The signature of the Okarir’tayna was written in a sky blue color, unlike the color of the wax seal placed on the parchment paper. =OOC= If you want to host an event, I will help the best I can to make sure your entire event goes smoothly. Meaning: I will write posts, decorate, give materials, write emote blocks, and even make skins for you to make your entire experience relaxing when you host. Right now, I am working hard to create a set holiday list and it would be amazing if people can help host events with me until that is complete. Thanks. THE SILLUMIRAN – THE PROTECTORS OF THE MOTHERLAND
UmbreScye replied to Ankan's topic in Arcas Elven RP Archive
Faemystu Uveyna stared at the new structure of the Sillumiran, crossing her arms a bit as she thought to herself. She gave the parchment paper a snide ‘huff’, just as she unveiled her silver pipe and strode away from the notice board. -
Uppori Visaj began to sweat profusely, noticing that they were being thrown out if they did not court another individual... She would hide in her room, seeming to try and avoid the marriage drafts by the Maheral!
-
[ ROLEPLAY ] [!] A letter with the Visaj Seal would be found in your mailbox, the wax being a calm sky blue color. Upon unfolding this envelope, the letter would be written in neat handwriting on a silky white piece of parchment paper. There would be a bronze pin located inside of the letter, one in the shape of a lion. ”Dear Mordithas Miravaris, Karin’ayla, Ker’ayla. This letter would like to congratulate you on your acceptance into the ‘Trainee bartender’ position.Your previous encounters with other individuals, as well as your uncanny determination to create a lively conversation with guests, is something that we appreciate in an applicant. I would like you to begin your training by working as a waiter under my supervision, later on we will place you under the guidance of our Silver Bartender to pursue your interest in the bartender branch. Before your interview, please make sure to memorize our drink and desserts menu, which will be sent to you in a different letter. During the interview please bring your letter of acceptance. Ahernan for applying! Sincerely, Okarir’tayna, Uppori Visaj 8th of Snow's Maiden, 1742” [!] The letter would end with her signature, and a stamp saying: ‘ACCEPTED, please find Uppori Visaj’ [OOC] Thank you for applying, I will talk to you on discord!

White Stag Cooking Class 8th of Snow's Maiden, 1742 [!] A neatly written sheet was posted in front of the White Stag bar, a simple parchment with a notice and a wax seal from the Okarir’tayna. The seal seemed to be a rather calm red, boosting the importance of the short announcement. Beside the initially hung up sheet, there is a corner table holding a stack of copies for citizens to take. The contents were as follows: “Karin’ayla, Ker’ayla, This letter marks the beginning of the White Stag’s first cooking class, which will begin in approximately two elven days during the evening. This class will repeat on the same day the following elven week, courtesy of the tavern workers and the Okarir’tayna. These lessons will occur within the tavern’s kitchen and central dining hall, and we will teach a recipe to the citizenry during each session. The wonderful Silver Bartender and newly appointed Laurir, Goan Aldin will be the first instructor for the class in two elven days. If you wish to volunteer to teach a class a recipe or two, seek the Okarir’tayna. However, we have a couple of things that we recommend you bring, of course we will also have some spares available just in case you happen to misplace yours. You may bring: An apron, mitts for oven use, and as an option you may bring your own silverware. Should an accident occur during the session, you will be treated swiftly with first aid and sent quickly to the clinic. If you are prone to various allergic reactions to foods, please make sure to notify the instructor immediately. We have facilities available to rinse and clean your hands thoroughly to avoid such. We hope that you will attend the first class, ahernan for reading. Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya Sincerely, Silver Bartender + Laurir, Goan Aldin Okarir’tayna, Uppori Visaj” [!] The letter ended swiftly, as it was a short announcement. The large signatures of the two individuals were marked on top of the sheet of paper, both seeming unique in their own right. OOC: [Friday, 4:30 PM EST [11/15] in the Tavern] The class will reoccur for about 2-3 weeks, on the same day and time! Different people will be hosting, and times might change. Stay tuned!

THE BLESSED DIARCHY ON WAR AND THE TILRUIR'TIR
UmbreScye replied to Ankan's topic in Silver State of Haelun'or
Uppori Visaj had not been around for the previous announcement #66 made to the Sillumir, but she was fortunately able to attend the Sohaer’s speech. She had begun by writing a letter, preparing for the trial that was soon to be executed by the Diarchy. She frowned within the own confines of her room, seeming rather distraught by this turn of events, but remained silent. -
Faemystu Uveyna would have skipped out on the Sillumir meeting, but was watching the entire encounter from a nearby bench. She squinted at the group, taking in a smoke out of her pipe quickly. She practically choked on the smoke in her lungs once she heard some of the last comments #66 made. “Wait wait wait, so he’s saying to disobey the orders of the Okarir’tir and the Diarchy?” She squinted, and let out a hearty laugh, elbowing a nearby ‘aheral in a humorous manner. “That’s absurd, and practically asking for a death sentence. It’s gotta be a joke right?” She laughed again, but then her face grimaced as she realized that #66 was being honest.
-
Uppori Visaj read the new laws quickly, a quick approving nod followed after. “Wonderful, a new set of laws that is rather crystal clear. Hopefully there will be no more disputes on the subject, and perhaps with time things will be added.” She commented idly, now taking a copy to put up in the tavern.

I hope my feedback helps, apologies if it seems a bit rough or vague. It has been a while since I saw a race like this that is not inherently over-powered, so I very much appreciate lore piece. It will bring a lot of interesting role-play into the server, I am sure of it. Good luck on getting accepted, I hope to try playing one if it does! ?
-
Personally I like this concept as it’s very much a toned down and neater version for what I expect a CA race to be. The rest of this section will be solely my opinion, and I hope it maybe helps think about the species a bit more! However, I do think that the sections regarding the ‘eyesight’ of a Nathair are unneeded, and could perhaps just remain as a simple quirk to the species. Meaning, you could probably just merge the section if you still wish to keep it instead of breaking it into two parts. Also, could there be some cases where the ‘spectacle’ could be part of the human form as well? I think that would be interesting, a bit obvious that the person isn’t human, but still a comical idea that their disguises are not always perfect. Early signs that a Nathair is getting ready to shed would also be very interesting. The difference in strength as you stated [be it weaker in combat and a lack of stamina] would probably also effect their actual agility in combat as well. The weight of carrying a [1-handed or 2-handed] sword could be quite immense, and it could essentially weigh down the Nathair. However, one could argue that the exact swords they wield are indeed very lightweight as well. Perhaps they are trained to use multiple to their advantage, and it would be a lot less stressful on their body to carry those weapons. I think this trait easily reflects on their natural ‘cunning’ and ‘sly’ nature as well. For the swordsmanship section, I believe it should be toned down to [light weight] daggers, knives, or swords because of their lack in physical strength. I do like their ‘shedding’ ability and being able to go back/forth between human and true form. I’m glad to see a lot of restrictions and additions to their ‘mental’ stability, especially from being raised at birth. For their age, does it mean that it’s often not seen that Nathair live from 200-300, or is that typically the limit for this species? Personally, I would like to learn a bit more about the ‘The Concealer, The Guardian and The Bestower’ lore as well, and perhaps how Nathair live/strive in a society consisting of just them. Although they have a very concrete idea for their knowledge seeking and distributing nature, it would be cool to see more advances with their culture as well. Apologies for talking so long, but I really do like this idea! I hope that it passes, since I think this is really neat. Overall I’m glad that there are clear red-lines and examples to the abilities as well. +1

The Taeleh’laurir Association 12th of the First Seed, 1739 [!] Notes were passed around the entire Silver City, and it seemed that it was written in very neat handwriting! The missive was written upon creamy white parchment paper, and contained the stamp of the Visaj family. A couple of application forms were found on each note posted around the city. Have you ever wished to freely debate to your hearts content, within a select group of individuals? Maybe you simply wish to mingle and socialize with your own, as one Mali to another. Perhaps in your time within the Silver State, you have yearned a tight knit group to discuss topics that concerned the state? An association of sophisticated Mali that focus on the development of the Silver State of Haelun'or and the rest of Arcas, has now appeared at the door step of the Silver State. Coleyo Visaj has taken the initiative to start a club within the Silver City, and it is sure to be a life changing experience if you decide to join. The Taeleh'laurir Association is filled to the brim with individuals that are looking for fellow sophisticated Mali to join them in their endeavors. This group focuses on debating over architecture, literature, and politics that occur all over Arcas. This group also, is open to those that simply wish to have a good chat and time with some fellow lliran. Taeleh’laurir Rules I: The Taeleh'laurir Association is strictly Mali only, those that are not of Elven blood must go through stricter procedures in order to be allowed into this fold. These standards will vary and change along with the political climate of Arcas, and very much vary between each individual. Having a member 'vouch' for your entry is incredibly recommended, and shows your initiative to interacting with our fold. II: This association of sophisticated Mali does not invite the feint of heart, as we retain a strict and poise stature towards debates. Responsibility lies within tolerance and maturity, which is required within the group. Senseless bickering and arguing whilst displaying your appalling ignorance on a subject, will only serve to get you kicked out of the group. III: Proper etiquette and manners must be upheld at all times, those who were brought up with 'backwards' thinking are advised to steer clear of the association. The unclean and unkempt individuals are not welcome, lest they change their ways and embrace the sophisticated standards of the Taeleh'laurir. If you wish to join this group, please find Coleyo Visaj and fill out this application: Taeleh'laurir Application Form Sincerely, Elemyumiran, Taeleh’laurir Leader, Coleyo Visaj Okarir’tayna, Tavern Keeper, Uppori Visaj [!] The missive ended quickly with the signatures of those who took part in writing the announcement... =OOC= Hey! Information for Aspiring Club/Event Hosts 12th of Sun’s Smile, 1738 [!] A missive was attached to a sleek birch box, and it was held together using steel and reinforced metallic bands. It had a stack of forms, and a rather delicate quill for those to use. Inscribed upon the creamy parchment was an official briefing on some new forms that were being distributed to the public. This birch box, seeming like a mailbox really, was posted right in front of the White Stag Tavern. "Karin'ayla, Ker'ayla lliran. As the Okarir'tayna, it has come to my attention that besides some local exclusive sites of work and progress, that the state is incredibly lacking when involving the citizenry in various easily accessible activities. Joining the Sillumiran, becoming a researcher, a physician, or even a tavern worker are all wonderful career paths to enjoy, but I wish for more public and calmer hobbies to become prevalent within the walls. The Uhieran are a wonderful example of what I envision to occur more often in the state. Citizens are now being given a chance to take the initiative, under my guidance and aid. If you wish to create and/or lead any clubs/associations, please fill out the following applications that are listed below. Refer to the next section for some quick aid on the matter as well. Short notes for aspiring event holders and club creators I: Notify the Okarir'tayna of your intent before acting, if you wish to annually host events on a regular basis you must fill out the application. If this is a one time event, please just chat with the Okarir'tayna so they may give you helpful feedback or help to make your event run smoothly. They can offer materials and items for the duration of your event. If you are simply hosting a celebration after your own wedding, you are not required to fill out an event host application! II: If you are hoping to create a club, you are absolutely required to fill out the application. If you wish for a one on one chat about the situation beforehand, please send a letter to the Okarir'tayna. If you are uncertain of what exactly you want, please organize a meeting and bring along some others that are interested in your idea. Maehr’sae hiylun’ehya. Sincerely, Okarir’tayna, Uppori Visaj” [!] The missive ended quickly with the seal of the Visaj Family stamped right onto the paper. =OOC= Event Suggestion application https://forms.gle/kAxjt1zydhaDns1m6 Event Host, Club host, and potential Medi’ir application https://forms.gle/D29rYtQDrekTPy9c6 OOC: Please shoot me a message if you need help! Uppori Visaj glanced at the crows dropping the missives from the sky, the red paint staining the floors and windows. “Staining the state with horrid blood red hues only speaks to the impurity that the writer attempts to hide with their somber pleas.” She spoke slowly, gazing at the blue windows becoming tinted with dark dyes... A frown followed her comment, as if expecting there is still more to come.
-
Faux reached over to pull the announcement off a nearby board, flicking at the paper to straighten it. Her mask covered her expression, but as she peered over it she furiously tapped the ground with her foot. “Innocent travelers? I’m pretty sure they were bandits, we were just doing our job keeping the roads safe!” She jested with some fellow Ruswick men, letting out a hearty laugh at her comment. – Uppori Visaj would only frown as she read over the missive, seeming distraught that yet another war was occurring. “How many wars must we partake in? Our efforts should be kept with handling the Irrinor situation...” She let out a rather somber sigh just as she placed the announcement on her table. She took a seat in front of her desk, quickly writing some letters to her friends, family, and employees. With a stamp of of the Visaj Seal, she would place an incredibly short missive right on top of the tavern doors: “The White Stag Tavern will assist in ensuring the Sillumiran do not go hungry, please donate food and materials for the war effort. – Uppori Visaj.”

The Battle of the Worthless Crossing, 1735
UmbreScye replied to Inferno_Ougi's topic in Arcas Roleplay Archive
An elfess smirked as her finger lingered over the names labeled on the missive, staring at them intriguingly without a word. Instead, she would wander the roads after shoving the missive in her pocket, a short chuckle following. “Unlucky, seems I missed the fun.” She commented carelessly, continuing on her merry way.
