[!] A flier is stuck to every hub's board, alongside some of the larger settlements; it seems whoever circulated these missives must have truly been desperate. As you glance down the page, sections of masterful printmaking art and calligraphy grace your eyes, somewhat differing between each page. "你好, friends of Almaris; my name is Jiàn, and I send this letter out in great desperation. Long ago, I ventured off into the endless woods in search of purpose. I was confused, and terrified after descendant-kind was forced to flee the Arcas; and I realize, now, what I've done was a great dishonor to my kin. What you all may know as the Hou-zi are much more than wandering Ronin or frightful beasts -- we once ruled over Axios, and in the glory of my kind's Immortal King Hou-Shen did they bask. However, just as our old Empire was corrupted and sent into ruin by the Doombringer, Metzli, it seems he has once again come to bear his ugly fangs; and with a deft swipe, sent us back into scarcity. As I sit here writing this, my anger boils in my veins and woe claws at my heart. Should any of my Hou brethren exist, or those of the lost city Yong Ping, I beg of you all to write back; to show me I am not truly the last one left. I've secured a long-abandoned home on the outskirts of the forgotten bastion, and though it's certainly ... Rife with rats and pests, I'd be happy to house others here as well. 愿我们再次统治!为了侯神! Huang Jiàn."

An old, decrepit ISA Captain; perhaps even the very last of her brethren, clutches the letter in her two taloned hands. "The ... The FALL?! It can't have been t'at long ago ... Nie, nie! I'm niet history yet! THE EMPIRE LIVES! ... ARRGH!" Papers scattered across her desk, and as she blinked, the scenery around her faded back into her new abode; a cavern, chains, blood-stained walls. "TE' EMPIRE LIVES, DAMN-ET!"

The air stunk of Cactus Green, as ale sloshed in the mugs of the Urukim and tools danced about in the kitchen. A lanky honorary worked away at a soup as her knife bobbed by itself in the air, dicing meat and sliding it into the cauldron. She waved her hand and brought the blade down atop the counter, withdrawing from the bar to wade deeper into the depths of the tavern to cool off, and to free herself from the encumbering cloud of smoke that hung over the room. "Pretty good cooking, there." She tossed her head back, offering a nod to the young man who sat at the fireplace. He wore rags, and held a joint in one hand, a pint in the other, and a bag of mina & poker chips beside him; certainly good spirits for whatever the occasion. The mali shrugged, warily eyeing him as she settled nearby. "I zuppose so. Some'azh needed tu lighten d'moods of our kin." The man poised a brow, lofting a bandaged hand to gesture toward her. "Your jewelry. It bears the mark of Theruz, does not?" "It does." "What is a scholar doing in a crowd such as this?" "I'm not zworn to him; doh my clan appreciates hiz ... Existence, I zuppose. A scholar I am, though not all zcholars worship dat zpirid zpecifikalli." "True, true. Being a chef is much less boring than being a scholar, though - you should consider doing this more often. I do enjoy free food." The man snickered, rising from his chair to fan the flame one last time before departing. A cloud of smoke followed as he tossed a chunk of wood into the pyre, and she watched as he hobbled away into the distance. An unusual sight, that she thought more of over the night as she rolled blunts and boiled broths. "Did Barbog'z zpirid-paranoia rub off on mi, or could this ... have been an omen?" Word is passed and fliers are delivered throughout the Iron'uzg, written in Blah on one side, and Common upon the other. "BRUDDAHS AGH ZIZTAHZ! War has been waged, lives are lost, and at times spirits have been low. There is little joy! There is little festivity! And there are no feasts as there once were! We move in great strides -- just recently, we have gained a new, and great, Huntsgoth. So let us continue to move forward. I, Yahzlak uv Clan Dezokh-nur, challenge the current holder of Grubgoth Grubgoth, Buk to a competition of COOKING! He, if he still lives, has proved to neglect the title and has let his bruddahs starve of good grub! If he refuses to respond within Two Months -- or, Two Cactus days, he must truly be dead or long gone. De weak are MEAT. And after diz war, wi zhall feazt. -- Yahzlak'Dezokh-nur "

Bias & Rule Breaking in the Celianor v. Krugmar War
Mescaffier replied to Mescaffier's topic in Debate
NOOOOO I DONT WANT TO BE ORENIAN AGAIN PLEASE NOT AGAIN /j Objection, hearsay In all seriousness, I haven't heard anyone bragging and I've been extremely active in the Horde & Krugmar discord - mostly just people confused and angry at the date, and some jokes about it here and there. A lot of this stems from a lack of communication with staff as Qizu, Twi, and Ryu have said. Let's become an anarchy server -
Bias & Rule Breaking in the Celianor v. Krugmar War
Mescaffier replied to Mescaffier's topic in Debate
You're awesome for not picking either side (genuinely, this is not sarcastic) -- I'm glad that we can have a war wiki that won't be constantly fought over by both sides like that oren one some time ago 😭 Here's what Drunk has said (threaquotes) about the date: "We are uncertain as of right now as to whether we can do the warclaim on the 25th or this weekend, however we are leaning towards the 25th as many wish to see the two week notice for warclaims." "In regards to the field battle time, we are not electing to fight in the 18th at this moment as we are allowed 2 weeks time after the post for the warclaim to take place." (Thread) The reasons for this were later stated in Krugmar and the war disc -- solely because it's the holiday weekend, unfortunately its not only him but most of us that can't attend. I wrote it, and I'd appreciate that comments keep to discussion and not insulting o7. Not sure what the point of your comment was?- 37 replies

Bias & Rule Breaking in the Celianor v. Krugmar War
Mescaffier replied to Mescaffier's topic in Debate
+1 I am currently enjoying carving Yggdrasil while I read all the spicy pixel fighting. What a simple world it would be if we simply fought the warclaim on roblox or Fortnite, amirite? (I'm convinced LOTC is a social experiment by the CIA.)- 37 replies

Doc post, in case of it being deleted: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1GkIbo0ueX9BV47Itf97fpsSgbrIMOINdClpgJWTopik/edit?usp=drivesdk "Nation Leaders engaging in war will assume an active role in fostering quality roleplay & camaraderie. Wars must be grounded in mutual OOC respect." Your 2nd favorite schizoposter has come out of the woodwork to complain again! Keep in mind, while I am on the side of the Horde in this post, I do hold allegiance to both playerbases and I've been keeping a close eye on both to form this opinion. While spectating the discussion on the Celianor v. Krugmar post, I noticed a number of things directly in conflict with the war rules stated in the War tab on Policies. I don't know them by heart nor have I studied them much, but I'm going off the bare-bones definition of each and then mention how these have been broken. _________________ "Leadership from both sides will use the war-thread to organize the specifics of the warclaim. Use this time to declare allies and settle on an exact time of day and location." On the thread, a definitive date – the 18th – was declared for the war allegedly without allowing the input of the side of the Horde. Many times has it been pointed out, as it is both a day before a large holiday that a good majority of players observe/celebrate and one that a large amount of players from the side of the Horde, and even the nation leader himself cannot attend. Thus, by denying them any say in a war date, the Horde is set up for failure and the discussion meant cater to both sides equally only caters to one side, Celianor. "Follow the spirit of the rules, not the word of the law—these rules create an environment for fun and organic war (no loopholing!)" Celianor was given a tile, not connected to their own territory, by Elysium. The reasons for this have not been stated, but what it appears to be is a loophole to decrease troop movement cost. In roleplay, Elysium has little to no reason to transfer a portion of their territory that's close to Krugmar's to Celianor and appears largely OOC motivated from a spectator's viewpoint. An excerpt from Drunkpapabear (Krugmar NL): "In our assault upon Elysium, they were granted extended time when we wished to pursue it so we would assume that affect is still in place as we are now on the defensive and request that it be consistent." In the war that created the CB for this war, it was decided the defender, Elysium, would have 2 weeks after the war declaration to prepare, on their NL's request. Yet in this war, Krugmar is only given 1 week. Itdontmata also mentions how both nations have 'bargaining chips' in regards to letting eachother build before the battle, connotating that Krugmar does have equal bargainig power. That Celianor wants to paste a new city that they could very easily do once the war concludes in 2 days, versus vital defenses needed for Krugmar because the long-dead city that no longer exists INRP that Celianor wishes to siege has poor infrastructure. I don't mean to sound accusing, but in looking at these interactions, it seems that staff's decisions on how and when a war will occur have frequently been in Celianor, Elysium, & Co's favor. In the thread, Krugmar's NL has asked questions that have been ignored completely. It's been shown and shown time again that staff feedback has a higher value to other staff and the admins; can you guess which playerbase has little to no staff, while the other has a lot of them? 6 mods, more or less. If something is going to be enforced for one war, enforce it in the next and keep it consistent. Neither side said they were going to go by different war rules.
