Definitions
In your own words

define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!:

Role-playing:
Take the role of a totally different

character than you really are in real life. The chance for anyone to become the
great hero/villain he always wanted to be. In a realistic experience, set in a
fantasy world.

Meta-gaming: Doing actions with knowledge of things

your character can never be aware of. For example: My house is hidden inside a
giant tree. The tree is not special from the outside since Xirgis wants to have
a hiding spot for himself. Another player comes around and sees my nameplate.
He uses this to locate my house and burn the tree down without any specific
reason. He used my nameplate (that is not visible IC) to find me.

Power-emoting: The action in roleplaying that

prevents other role-players to react. The so called 'god actions'.
It takes the freedom of action away. For example: ‘Xirgis stabs ‘player
X’ in the chest, he dies’. This prevents the other player from reacting. Good
roleplay would be: ‘Xirgis tries to stab ‘player X’ in the chest.  This leaves the other player some time to
react to my action.

In-Character Information:Complete the following biography on your character:

Full Name: Xirgis

Current Age: 12 seasons (84 years old)

Sub-race (if any): Forest

Dwarf
Clan (if any): /

Past / History (include

childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long):
Xirgis was born in a very hard, forest environment. Almost immediately
abandoned by his parents, he was left alone. Not for long after he was left for
unknown reasons, a lone wandering dwarf found him. His name unknown, raised
Xirgis to the person he is now. He teached Xirgis to love nature. He taught him
that everything has a cycle, a season. This was also the case for the
relationship between Xirgis and his 'father'. He never said his name to his
adopted son. Also for the reason that their relationship had a 'season'. One
day, they would each venture their own way.

And at the age of 3 seasons, his
'father' suddenly left Xirgis.

His father never gave him a surname. He now stood on his own. He had the freedom to go everywhere he wanted,
whenever he wanted. Living from the things nature gave him (note: this was an
important lesson from his father 'only take what is given'). He was very
grateful for every little thing he found and he could really enjoy the little
things in life. He wandered around in the forest he was raised in (the forests
east of kal'anarth). He never saw other humanoid creatures and never had the
urge to learn a language. He and his father communicated trough mimicry and
gestures). Xirgis encountered a very harsh winter during his 11th season and
was forced to venture outside his home forest. He traveled south, to the
forests northeast of Kal'Mugdor. Great adventures lie before him. What will he
find there? What will he encounter? All questions that remain unanswered.

Ambitions for the Future: Settle

myself in the forests to the northwest of Kal'Mugdor. Learn more of the local
ecology. Try to preserve the local ecology. One of his goals is to meet his
'father' again and to answer the questions 'why did my parents left me
behind?'. He wants to meet his real parents again.

Personality: Xirgis hardly ever speak to other

people. He never developed a real language and expressed himself in gestures,
simple sounds and a wide array of gestures. Xirgis is considered friendly but
shy. He'll never take the first step to communicate. Xirgis can find joy from
the little things in life (a butterfly, a sunny day, a quiet spot to fish,
...). Xirgis can be very chaotic from time to time, not making up priorities.
Also, in his communication, he is very chaotic. Xirgis has the tendency to
dramatize little things. He often makes a mounten out of a molehill. This makes
him even more shy and suspicious.

Skills: Xirgis has a great array of survival skills.

Also, he has a knowledge of ecology and nature. He learned a specific
philosophy from his 'father' to deeply respect nature.

Open-Response-Questions
Each question in this section

must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe
the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore
at any point.

1. Whilst mining deep in the

undergrounds of Kalos you see a large deposit of diamond ore at the
other side of the ravine you are on. There is a very thin rock
bridge that looks precariously unstable, but it is the only way to
access the deposit. What do you do?

Answer: I leave it alone. I'm not interested in precious ores, unlike

many other dwarves. My interests lie in the forces of living things. My father
taught me to only take what nature gives me. In according to that taught, I
could take the ores. But I resist myself. ‘Is this really worth the risk? Or
maybe I could try to find another way? No. I don’t want those ores; I am not
interested in them. I am here to study the ecology of these deep cave systems. ‘

Then I think to myself 'who will be the next person

to find this? He will certainly try to get the ores...? Must I warn somebody?
Must I leave a mark?' Since he never learned a language, he just marks the spot
with a big red 'X'. He hopes other people will get the message. Also, he
blocks the entrance to the cave system.

After leaving, he frequently visits the entrance looking for people that went
into the cave. Xirgis never like going into caves since nature is very absent
there. He is only interested in the ecology, not the ores, unlike many other
dwarves.

2. You are

sitting in the local tavern with a large pint of
ale in your hand - sitting nearby you is a rather
young dwarf whom is clearly going through a bad
time. He is crying to himself, and clutching a small
wooden hammer toy. In the other corner of the room two shady dwarves
are sitting whispering to each other and pointing occasionally at the
dwarf. They stand up, one with a small
dagger in his hand and begin to approach the young
dwarf. What do you do?

Answer: I stand up and grasp the young dwarf in an

attempt to drag him away from the apparent assaulters. I do this in a comical
manner, pretending I am a friend of the young dwarf. I hope this will scare of
the shady dwarves, as the young dwarf will find himself with an ally. I also
take the wooden toy with me. From the moment we are safe, i'll leave him alone
since i'm not interested in the affairs of others. When he tries to communicate
with me, I quickly leave and try to shake him off. I don’t want him to follow
me. ‘My only interest is nature and it's creations’ I keep telling myself. I
mumble in myself ‘Why have I done this, why have I done this?’. I find it a
risk to be close to people since they are so unpredictable. I secretly keep the wooden toy to decorate my own house. I always keep
souvenirs from special events. I only hope the young dwarf doesn’t try to
follow me to get his toy back.

3. Whilst wandering through

the Dwarven Caverns you hear a voice call out to
you; “Oi, ye’! C’mere n’ get ye’rself an
ale!”. You spin on your heel and see a heavily bearded
bar-owner looking at you - a huge grin on his face, and a
mug of ale in his hand. How do you react?

Answer: I kindly nod to the bartender that i'm not
interested. I live from nature and have a great dislike of man-produced things
(I only consume my own produce). The moment I turn around, I try to make a run
for it since I’m don’t want people to see me and to follow me. I don’t often go
to populated places, and when I do, I try to speak to as little people as
possible. I don’t want friends, I don’t want somebody following me. I just want
to stay. ‘Why did he offer me a drink’ Xirgis thinks to himself? ‘Was it with
good intentions? Maybe he tried to rob me?’ These thoughts make him walk even
faster, almost running. The only thing that is on his mind right now is getting
back to his home in the forest, alone. He doesn’t want to get followed.
