DemocraticPuppy 0 Share Posted April 5, 2013 Out-Of-Character InformationPlease fill out the following questions as accurately as possible, and ensure the essential details are accurate. Minecraft Account Name: DemocraticPuppy How old are you?: 16 Time-Zone: GMT -5 Eastern Seaboard, United States Have you read, understood and agreed to the rules?: Yes I have What previous experience have you had in role-playing?: I have role-played extensively on the Rise of Kings server How did you hear about the the Lord of the Craft?: A referral from a friend and fellow role-player Link any applications that you have previously made for the server: None Have you posted this application on the Minecraft Forum? If not, then please do so (link above): I will after filling out the remaining information and posting Have you read the Human lore, and shall you ensure you make use of it and follow it in your biography?: I had read what I assumed to be the human lore page, even if it didn't seem like the correct information but I do promise to abide by the restrictions and capacities of the lore I read.DefinitionsIn your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!: Role-playing: The act of playing a character that is either a creation of yours or a biographically preset character that you are asked to play (I.e. If you portray a person IC son, you follow the type of personality set out for you), that in either scenario, you are expected to act, feel and think like at all times, not letting OOC (Out of Character) thoughts disrupt you. Meta-gaming: The act of using information gained from an OOC source that you then used to benefit your IC character in some way (I.e. You heard on OOC chat that there was a plot to kill your character at a certain place and time and for that reason you stray away from that area at that time solely based on your illicitly gained knowledge.). Power-emoting: The act of setting your character up in a position where it is impossible for you to be toppled either due to you playing the game specifically for the purpose of "Winning" or because you refuse to accept your loss (I.e. Running in Iron Armor whilst in an RP fight; simplest example I can think of).In-Character Information:Complete the following biography on your character: Full Name: Timon Fleetmark Current Age: 23 Sub-race (if any): Southron Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): Growing up as a child Timon lived a rather dull, unadventurous life which now looking back on it, probably set him up for the life he would later live, but more on that later. As previously stated Timon never grew up with many traumatic experiences Sometimes his family would fall on hard seasons but for the most part Timon was spared anything to really mar his life. He never went hungry and he never got extra either, none of his family did of which included his older sister Tiyra and younger brother Tiash. All of the children would work the family fields with their father Tigon from dawn to noon, retire separately to play or read and live out their lives in general peace. Even though Timon did have two siblings and they were always close he never really was a sociable lad mostly in part because his family was a frontier homestead on the very cusp of each human civilization there was to be had! Eventually Timon would grow a keen interest in the use of bows, swords and hunting gear as a whole as a new way to provide for his family, an involving way that did not require bending your back over a hoe for hours, sometimes to no avail. Timon tried showing this to his other siblings, both of whom did not understand his interest in these martial skills, instead accepting the farming life they were born to. It was only his mother, Tysha, who understood Timons troubles. He yearned to be free from the oppressive yolk of farm life and explore the land, meet its people and learn what there was to be learned! After a (Not so peaceful!) talk with his family, Timon was sent off with the love of his family, his dream and his clothes on his back, never once looking behind him to the past he left behind. Now just a young man in the large world Timon is looking for what friends he can, skills he can learn and knowledge he can be taught! Ambitions for the Future: He plans to start a guild for people like him, small homesteader young men who want more in life, including excitement, joy and the thrill of songs and fighting. Personality: Very open-minded, thinks about situations before he forces himself into them and overall a very polite and gentile young man who wants to help the people he can and befriend those who would take him. Skills: He strives to be an expert with both a bow and a sword and makes up in determination what he lacks in raw skill and talent. As well to this he already has an adept use of the farming hoe having been working with it his entire life. Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): Added in the attached file below Any other details you wish to share about your character:Open-Response-QuestionsEach question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point. ____1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do?Answer:*As Timon watches the figure lurk through the dark and sinister city alleys he also thinks to himself about multiple things such as 'Who is this man' 'Why is he doing this' and most importantly 'What should I do?!', as he ponders these questions to himself Timon comes back to reality and makes a decision on the matter at hand after some careful thought. After a few long strides up to the guards Timon greets the man he assumes as the guard captain, due to his splendid armor style, with a curt nod and gives him his customary hello* Guard Captain: "And what be it you be needing this day eh?" Timon: "I was taking a stroll about as I normally do during these hours to calm my mind and I saw a rather loathsome figure briskly walking to the emperors living quarters, actually he may still be there...either way I just wanted to inform you good men on the situation and let you know that an issue may occur!" *The Guard Captain shakes his head disapprovingly before looking back up at Timon as if he were a complete fool* Guard Captain: "Ya blasted idiot, this entire time ye've been rattlin' off hes probably been making his damn way to the palace!"*The Captain then roughly shoves his way past Timon, beckoning his men to follow. After watching them run off with a confused "Hmpf" Timon figures his job is done and he may continue his nightly walk.* 2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react?Answer: *Upon carefully overlooking the entire situation Timon sighs to himself inaudibly and retreats to the edge of the clearing to begin thinking about what to do and why he would do it. After careful deliberation Timon decides the most prudent course of action is a stealthy one and in accordance to this thought picks up two rocks, of about the same size. Upon taking one rock in hand he winds up and tosses one of the rocks, aiming for the bandits center mass, succeeding in hitting one of them.* Bandit 2: "Bloody hell was that?" Bandit 1: "Do I look like I fookin' know? Go search it yer damn self!" *The bandit that was hit by Timons rock then begins to search back in the woods aimlessly. A moment or two after the bandit disappears in the brush, Timon carefully paces his way through the clearing towards the bandit still harassing the old man, neither of them noticing him as they are both too absorbed in each other.* Bandit 1: "I aint gon' lie...we could kill ye' right now...and be done wit' it o' ye' can jus' give me what I came all the way out 'ere fo'" *The Old Man looks at him with a cocky grin and scoffs*Old Man: "Your scare tactics will not work so easy here my thieving friend..." *Right as the bandit is about to speak Timon brains him with the second rock in his hand and while the man is going down, pulls out his longsword rather awkwardly but succeeds in cutting into his neck arteries making his life blood drain into the grass fluidly and the eventual death of the bandit* Old Man: "Eh....thanks laddie, wasnt really necessary to /kill/ him though..." *The Old Man scratches his head looking down at the body sullenly* Timon: "On the contray my withered friend, he is necessary for the next action I perform!" *As Timon cuts the rest of the sinews of the bandits head off and spikes it on a hardy stick from the cottage, the Old Man shakes his head in both disapproval and confoundment as Timon works*Timon: "Now...we wait..." *And so they did until the second bandit returned to see his old cohort with his bloodied head on a spike, after a moment of staring the bandit decides the better of the situation by troting off into the woods again, after watching him off Timon turns to the Old Man, both of them inside his home.*Old Man: "Well damn I say it, thanks lad, you've been a real blessing." Timon: "It was a pleasure to help one of whom has trouble defending himself...but if I may ask, what were they looking for?" *After a few moments under the stony glare of the Old Man, Timon speaks again*Timon: "Well then...perish the thought! Like I said, it was a pleasure to help!"3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens).Answer: *As Timon sniffs in the city air, he realizes why he left his homestead for the excitement of the city! Here was a place where you could do what you wish, see what you want and lo and behold, buy what you damn well could! After a confident strut over to the merchants stall Timon listens to the man ditter on about the items he has to sell and where he got them from...*Merchant: "The finest wares on this side of Asulon(Anthalos?)! Furs from beasts long thought extinct! Spices from lands that only rumors are spoken of and hell even a Dragons Tooth!" Timon: "My good man, you presume to tell me you sell these wares at a /reasonable/ price?"*Timons leans forward as he speaks and when he is finished, winks hopefully at the man**The Merchant responds in a boisterous and obnoxious tone* Merchant: "Of /course/ so my friend! Everything at a discount, this I swear by all faiths and denominations...across Asulon(Anthalos)!" *Timon then taps the counter three times with his fingers along with a happy smirk*Timon: "Well my good wares-man friend I am sold and so is your Dragons Tooth!" *After fishing through his pouch for his money purse Timon weighs the bag in his hand thinking*Timon: "How much did you say again...?" *The Merchant's response, all together not that quickly and with a slight stutter, comes out as this...* Merchant: "U-...For you my friend...four hundred Minas!" *Timons shrugs with both his shoulders and eyebrows and tosses the man his Minas pouch and takes the tooth. It is only later that night, as he inspects the 'tooth' further that he realizes that the item is in-fact a War Boar's tusk! Now knowing his folly, Timon contemplates what he will do now that he has no money and only a tusk to show for it...*

Ford 1996 Share Posted April 6, 2013 Please wait for a GM to implement you. Welcome to the Lord of the Craft, but be sure to darken your characters skin just slightly. Northerners are lighter, Southeron's are darker.
