[Ooc] Questions For The Orcs

Yo greenskins! I got some questions for ya!

 

I have been thinking a lot about making an orc character. Sure, I have loved playing as a human for more than a year (on and off) on Lord of the Craft, but I think it's time to try something new. I really think it would be cool to join your community, as you all seem pretty close-knit and chill, and I would like to help contribute, making an orc who will bring some good ole' race-hate to his fellow uruks. But I didn't make this thread to tell you all about what I wish to accomplish; I thought it would be best to get some questions answered before I dive right in. So here it goes.

• What exactly is the stance on half-orcs? The humans and the orcs have been in close proximity with each other as of late, and I figured it would probably only be a matter of time before a greenskin had its way with a pinkie. (And before you ask, I wouldn't be playing a half-orc to be edgy and unique. I just think it would be cool to play a character who has the additional challenge of dealing with both racial curses, in addition to the inevitable fight to prove himself to his pure-bred brethren.)
• What do half-orcs look like? Are they smaller in build, have shorter tusks, etc.?
• What range of pigmentation do orcs have? What variations in color would be considered normal?
• Are there any orcish players willing to have my character as a cub/member of the clan? (P.S. If someone wanted me to play their relative, I probably would not do child/young cub RP, as I have learned that kid RP can be annoying and tedious to both parties unless the person playing the child is very good at it. I would instead start my character as a very recently matured adult, about 18-19 by human standards.)
• Is there a topic that has the orcish language? I remember reading something with key terms on it during mid-Asulon, but I can't find it.
• What time is most of the orcish playerbase online?

Well, that's everything I can think of on getting started. If anyone can answer one or several of these questions, I would be grateful. I'm not the most active member of Lord of the Craft, by a long-shot, but I would still like to provide fun, entertaining, and interesting roleplay when I can. Thanks!

((IC we do not see you as any weaker because we believe that the orcish genetics over rides the human one's. You would still have to prove your self and strength, like any other orc. Also, playing a half orc is extremely over done, you know what no one plays anymore? A regular orc warrior. One of the best characters in the game, and you can develop him just as much as any other character. Also you would die a very young age as half orc because you get both curses and get in lots of fights. ))

 

• What do half-orcs look like? Are they smaller in build, have shorter tusks, etc.?

((They are a mix of the two races. They would have smaller tusks, maybe paler skin, and would be a little smaller. Think like 6 foot instead of 7 at age 12.))

((We are very sporadic, but we have a European group and an EST group. The rest work around it. There are some Aussie's as well. ))

First of all, thank you for replying in such a timely fashion! I think that I will actually play a purebred orc, your cub in fact, though I will need details on him, which I'm sure we can work out through PMs. But I actually have one question I forgot to ask; should I re-download MPM? I remember a lot of orcs used it back in Asulon in 2.5 and I'm just making sure that it's still in use. Can't wait to get on with eating halflings and smokin' cactus green!

I think as Grool's cub he'd be Gorkil or Azog, correct?
