A Letter to the Emperor

As a new day dawns, a messenger arrives in Abresi, bearing a letter addressed to the Emperor of Oren. It reads as follows.

“To Emperor Siegmund Carrion,

Hail Emperor Carrion. On behalf of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, I, Grand King Indago Stormhammer, am writing to you in order to discuss the terms of the Treaty of the Krelmstad that was signed some weeks prior to my ascent as ruler of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. In the events surrounding the removal of the former Grand King, Dizzy Irongrinder, It seems there has been some confusion first and foremost, upon the matter of the Dwarf Act of 1445, a so called modified version of the Kjell Act.

The original document placed before the eyes of the Lord’s Council of the Grand Kingdom of Urguan specifically pinpointed the Kjell Act as being legally enforced by both the Abresi guard and any Legionnaires who went into your lands. However, it appears that within private discussion held with the former Grand King, this was substituted for a more refined version of the Act, the so called Dwarf Act of 1445. In having said this, due to the former Grand King never taking the legal proceedings to pass this Act through his own council, I can only regret to inform you that it is not legally recognised by the Grand Kingdom.

This apparent misunderstanding has seemingly led to various grievances between your own city guard and dwarves trying to gain entry into your lands. Therefore, I would like to propose a meeting amongst representatives of both Oren and Urguan so that we may commence a renewed discussion upon the terms of the Treaty of The Krelmstad. I would further like to state that this does not strictly invalidate the terms of the former treaty. The cease to hostilities is still very much in place for the duration that this meeting is to be held. Therefore, it is merely intended as a means of establishing a clearer and more concise set of terms that both parties can agree upon in order to further avoid conflict between our two great nations in the future.

I await your response with much anticipation,

Grand King Indago Stormhammer.”

Siegmund reads the letter with quiet scrutiny before planning a diplomatic summit to the dwarven kingdom.
