Hail citizen, welcome to The Bastion, headquarters of the Malinorian military force and guard force, The Lumi’drim. Many elves have joined the Lumi’drim, taking perhaps the greatest step towards a golden age in Malinorian history. I do not offer payment for the services of Lumi’drim at this moment, instead I look for fit soldiers who hold dedication and loyalty over coin. If you’re interested in joining the Lumi’drim to make rank among our fine soldiers, please fill out an application found to your left or seek Prince Darius for an interview, whom can usually be found in his office. We accept members based on more than sword and bow skill. If you’re a great tactician, medic, mage, scribe, miner, or anything else feel free to try out. Whether you’re a human, orc, dwarf, kha, or elf doesn’t matter, everyone is considered (except dirty Scourge filth and their sympathizers).

 

The standard ranks of the Lumi’drim are the following, from lowest to highest:

• Apprentice
• Ranger
• Sentinel
• Captain
• Arbiter
• Protector of the Forest

The duties of a Lumi’drim include, patrolling the city, manning the gates, taking part in various missions, training daily to better mind, body, and soul, and setting the example for a higher standard of Elven society. Lumi’drim of Officer rank can expect to lead a five soldier squad and act as role model for those below them in rank. Missions range from body guarding, to breach and clears, all the way up to taking part in battles.

The Malinorian Magistrate

 

The Magistrate is Malinor’s main defence on magical occurrences and threats. The Magisters will offer magical users in Malinor a licence to proceed legally with the use of magical abilities. The High Magister, Kalameet Izalith, will act within his bounds to accept and deny magic licence applications. The exception to the system is that any member of the High Council may also accept any licences, after formal notification with the High Magister is completed in a timely manner.

 

• Licenses for the use of magic may only be granted through the Magistrate of Malinor.
• Licenses may only be granted with the knowledge of the High Magister.
• Licenses may be granted directly by the High Magister.
• Licenses for the use of magic are not necessary for those whose magic is Holy in nature.
• Licenses for the use of magic are to never be granted to users of dark magics, including Necromancers, Undead beings or other creatures whose use of magic is sinister in nature.
• Licenses are not to be granted to those who have a history of the abuse of magic, as determined and defined by the High Magister.
• Licenses may be revoked by the High Magister at any time.
• The revocation of any license must be accompanied by an explanation for the reasoning of revocation by the former holder of such a license.
• The Magistrate is responsible for the solving of all issues magical in nature within the Malinor.
• The Magistrate is to investigate all reports of rogue mages and other magical disturbances within the realm.
• The High Magister may call upon any and all military orders of Malinor to assist in such investigations, with the approval of the Protector of the Forest and the Arbiter if the Protector of the Forest cannot be contacted.
• If investigations make use of any member of a military order of Malinor, said members are to fall below members of The Magistrate in the chain-of-command. Exceptions to this rule include only the Protector of the Forest and the Arbiter if the Protector of the Forest cannot be contacted.
