Have you ever roleplayed before - if you have, how?: - Not really, I’d say the closest I have gotten to roleplay would be acting in real life.

Have you been on any other roleplaying servers?: - No, the concept of a Minecraft roleplay server was completely foreign to me before this.

How did you hear about us?: - I saw videos of big battles from “Munch909” on youtube.

What do you think the server will be like? - Well, to be plain, a server bustling with people, with battles and just general roleplay.

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: - Yes

What’s your favourite rule / the rule you agree with the most?: - The one where it says powergaming isn’t allowed, since that would get me very angry if I was a victim.

 

Definitions

 

What is roleplaying?: - Basically where you take the role of a character that you created, and live out the life of him/her.

 

What’s metagaming?: - Using OOC knowledge and making your character know it. For example, if you saw a forum post that was about plans for a war, then in-game you go to your King and say:

 

“DA ORCZ R PLANIN 2 ATAK US!!!111!!!!!1”

 

What’s powergaming?: -  If you give your character powers that would be impossible or unfair for him/her to do. For example:

 

Dwarf: *Swings his axe, attempting to hit his opponent over the head*

Powergamer: *dodge*

Dwarf: *draws his axe back and swings once more, this time aiming for the arm*

Powergamer: *block*

Powergamer: *takes out his warhammer and hits the dwarf on his head, instantly killing him*

What race are they (and sub-race)?: - Dwarf (Mountain Dwarf)

 

What sex are they?: - Male

 

How old are they?: - 95

 

Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): -

 

Tharald opened his eyes for the first time. He could see someone staring at him, and she appeared to be crying, but smiling at the same time. This was Tharald’s mother. But Tharald had only a few moments before a door slammed in the room, and a Dwarf with a thick reddish-orange beard came running towards him.

 

“Am ‘ah late? Where is ‘e--” Tharald’s father’s voice was cut off as he saw baby Tharald. “Aha! Tha li’l feck ‘as got ‘is fadder’s fiery ‘air! A true Mountin’ Dwarf if ‘ah ever be see’in one!” Tharald’s father looked at his mother. “Wha’ should we call ‘im?” Tharald’s mother stared for a few seconds. “Th-Thar-Tharald.” Tharald’s father nodded, holding Tharald in his arms.

 

Tharald, now a small boy, walked outside with his father, swinging a small wooden axe in the air. He had followed his father out of their home in Kal’Alras, and it looked like they were heading out of the city. In his head, Tharald was imagining himself as Urguan, swinging his axe into the heads of Orc warriors. Even though this, of course, is not what Urguan did in the stories, Tharald had been told of the many wars the Dwarves and Orcs have had against each other, and he assumed that they had always hated each other.

 

Tharald looked around. His father had taken him out of the city, and to what looked like a wooden dummy, shaped like a man. “Alright.” Tharald’s father said. “Today ‘ah am gonna teach ye ‘ow ta use yer axe. Jes’ like ah do. Okeh?” Tharald nodded. “Okeh. Hit th’ dummy.” Tharald swung his axe, hitting the dummy in the leg. It was his first time swinging an axe at a real enemy.

 

Before Tharald knew it, he had a fully grown beard, and he was strong. Tharald loved using an axe. He had tried mining and lumberjacking, but he preferred combat as a whole. He was okay at mining, but obviously not as good as the Cave Dwarves, and he did fairly well at lumberjacking, but did not altogether enjoy the job. Soon afterwards, Tharald would split away from his parents, and he quickly became an independent Dwarf.

 

It came as a great surprise to Tharald when he found out that Asulon was being left behind. It was where he was born and raised, and he did not want to leave. But the promise of a brave new world was exciting to Tharald, so he went along. But when the boats arrived at Elysium, it was not what Tharald would call a brave new world. He detested the land compared to Asulon, and wondered what life would have been like if he stayed.

But Tharald would soon be satisfied, when they set sail once again, this time landing on a big, new continent. Anthos. As he touched Anthos’ shores, he grinned. This was the new land he was looking for. Tharald would come to live in the great Mountains where the Dwarves claimed their territory in Anthos, and hoped to remain for seasons to come.

 

What are they like (personality)?: - Tharald is much like any other Dwaf. He values honor, and is a proud person. Tharald does not, however, have as bad of a temper as some other Dwarves, but if he get’s angry, he can be just as bad.

 

What are their ambitions?: - Tharald wishes to join the Dwarven army and win battles in the name of Urguan, but other than that, he is pretty short-sighted.

 

Do they have any special skills?: - Tharald is strong and can handle an axe very well, being a capable fighter. He is also capable with a crossbow, but not nearly as good as other Dwarves. The same goes for mining.

 

What are their weaknesses?: - Tharald is not a very fast Dwarf. Not because he is overly obese, but is simply a slow runner. He is also not the smartest of Dwarves. It might take him a while to pick up on what someone is saying, but when he gets it, he is quick to understand.

 

Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: - Tharald looks much like the common Mountain Dwarf, having reddish-orange hair and a long beard, separated into two long braids. Tharald wears dark red clothes, however these are covered by his Dwarven armor. Tharald also has a silver belt around his waist, and dark metal chainmail covering his arms.

 

Anything else you want to say about them?: - Not really.
