williamsrocks55 0 Share Posted January 14, 2014 Hi, I've recently been having problems connecting to the server... I know it's not my base connection because I can connect to other servers with a higher ping rate than LoTC with no problem at all. I've also been speaking with my friend who lives not far from me, and he can connect just fine. I'm having problems typing in game, and anything related to speaking or movement. I also have a video of what happens when I log in if it would help to upload it. Thanks, and sorry to be a bother! -williamsrocks55 (Iaewon Grisham)
FalconByte 156 Share Posted January 14, 2014 This happens to me, I just log in and wait a bit and the lag seems to just go away, but I have to wait a bit every time I log in.
Aedan The Bard 350 Share Posted January 14, 2014 Try the following (Yes, I know most of them are stupid): Render distance NOT Far! (It does help, trust me) Normal usually does the charm. It might be your computer! Do Ctrl + Alt + Delete and use your task manager. After that, choose the tab that says Processes and organize them according to how much memory they take. Minecraft should take about 400 - 800. End processes which are not vital for your computer (only programs whose functions you know) and end them. This will free up RAM and allow minecraft to run far more smoothly. If none of those work, try checking your connection: http://www.speedtest.net/ If your download speed is of 2Mbps - 10Mbps you can discard this one. Check where you are in game. If there are a lot of underground systems around you, minecraft WILL lag. It has to do with the amount of empty spaces per chunk. This is why Vaerhaven and Al'Khazar (Aegis) are/were so laggy. Once you leave those lagfests, your client has a break and resumes their belly-button poking, as per usual. If none of these helped, I can provide further assistance if I have graphic demonstration of the problem taking place and your task manager's processes tab. This means screenshots or videos are appreciated. Good luck! Also, Minecraft does lag when connecting or loading a world. If your pc is a toaster, you'll just have to deal with it, sorry. williamsrocks55 0 Author Share Posted January 15, 2014 Thanks for the help. It seems to stop lagging if I wait a few moments when I log in, but I will try connecting to that other IP, thanks!

Cyndikate 2303 Share Posted January 16, 2014 Just to note it could just be the server itself. It's been acting pretty wonky lately
