The Unscrupulous Prince

Night falls upon Anthos, as it does so often, and by the fire of the inn within the tomb, Kalenz sits. After more than a moment of brooding, a scowl and a swift flick of his cloak, Kalenz stood before the elves and began to speak:

"One knows not what transpired when the former Prince of Malinor came to return to his people after so long, yet, it would seem the story of Oceas and how he betrayed the mali'aheral should return to the minds of the Children of Silver once more. After all, while Kolyat Alfakyn may have been the true snake which lay amongst us for years, waiting to strike, it was Oceas, too, who wronged the mali'aheral and in particular myself on more than one occasion".

Kalenz cleared his throat anew and continued "Many know the tale of Steel upon Wood, yet our people's conflict with Oceas began long before that conflict over twenty meters of land which Malinor refused to seed to us.".

Kalenz glances about the room "Oceas holds four strikes against his name".

"First, I remind you that for long before that did he whisper and plot with Kolyat how he would rot the mali'aheral from the inside. Destroying culture and laying waste to tradition to "Unite the Elves", to unite us with our inferior kin. Seconds, It was he, too, who defended Lyweneth Vistil, she who harboured hate for our people which knew no bounds— Not that she wasn't swiftly butchered upon many an occasion. Third, he refused to seed us land which was our own when we settled in Anthos... But perhaps most regrettable of all: Fourth, it is he who conspired with and set the Fallen upon us in his rage that in the conflict for the land which was upon our doorstep was lost to Malinor and gained by us".

"Trust not the snake's friend who returns grovelling to us now, mali'aheral. Should he return, his path to purity anew must be long and arduous— If completed ever".
