Why We Fight

Lord Paladin Fimlin Grandaxe sits upon his desk, looking over history and thinking back to his past, he begins to write:

Long ago in the begining of Anthos, we had a blood pact with the humans, with hopes up high for an aliiance like no other. This was crushed however when the "White Rose" attacked Nalro Grayhammer, a Dwarven Lord. In Grand King Thorin Grandaxe's anger at the betrayal of Oren he marches upon a plain that would later be the sight of Thoringrad. The Dwarves, Kharajyr, and Orcs faught hard against Oren, but whe the human forces charged over the bridge the lads broke. Green as they were they ran from a charge they could have broken, the ran and ran until the remaining dwarves who had not deserted had ordered to retreat, and so they did. Oren had laucned many raids on the fort of Storm's Crossing, what would later be Kal'Ithrun however every attempted raid was repelled. Grand King Thorin Grandaxe had evntually made peace with Oren, essentially shattering it's people into smaller lessser kingdoms and holds.

It had been many years later when a faction gathers to attempt to overthrow the tyrannical king; Heinrik Carrion. The Dwarves after much reluctance decided to join the faction of rebels. However this did not ensure the win during the Battle of ShadowCastle as the dwarves and rebels inevitably failed. The invasion failed: the dwedmar went home to their capitol of Kal'Ithrun, thinking the fight over. This was not so, as King Heinrik launched an invasion on the land in which they had previosuly fought in during the first war. Hearing the planned invasion the dwarves build a massive gate and wall known as Thoringrad, after the Grand King who had won the first war for the dwedmar. The armies of Oren and Uruks marched onto Thoringrad, and after securing it's walls the dwarves go down into their highly fortified bunker. This mattered not however, as the humans used their heretical magic to blow a humungous crater into the bunker, 20 feet below the surface. Losing the battle the dwarves build trenches and fort Indagolaf, aswell as the notorious LakeFort. The Orenians and Uruks in return marched upon Indagolaf and tried to take the fort. The battle lasted days, the trenches and LakeFort had been destroyed in Oren's anger until the Uruks got bored, and left the battle. The tables had finally turned and with the uruks gone the remaining dwarves charged out, slaughtering and breaking the remaining army thus winning them the battle. The war however, was far from won, they had lost many dwedmar and brothers in this war, and had crushed the guild's productivity. However at Grand King Indago Stormhammer's death a new Grand King was elected, and Wulfgar Grandaxe; winning the election by a landslide took up the throne.

It was a new age for the beaten Dwedmar, at the new city of Kal'Arkon in which what is known as 'The Fringe' ; a new land beyond Anthos. They had excpected a lasting peace to bring the nation out of the hole that Indago had wrought, with an Dwarf-Orc alliance hopes seemed high... until...

A town known as Barrowhaven was settled upon by Oren, directly on top of the Dwarven road, the Dwedmar angered by this marched to the town and told them to leave. They did not however and so the dwarves raised the town and pillaged it's remains. Border disputes and skimrishes broke out until the Alliance of Dwarves, Orcs, Alras, and the Conclave had declared war upon Oren. It is thus why it has come to what it has with this war, and should the Alliance fail it would mean the end...
